He leads with “If you’ve ever been arrested on a drug charge, if you’ve ever spent even a day in jail for having a stem of marijuana in your pocket or “drug paraphernalia” in your gym bag, Assistant Attorney General and longtime Bill Clinton pal Lanny Breuer has a message for you: Bite me.” Taibbi is refreshingly direct. Please read his article.

The settlement shows, in my opinion:

  • The excuse was “Criminal prosecution might topple the bank and endanger the financial system.” If that is true (doubtful) in what condition is our financial system, even after $Trillions of bailouts? If it is not true, what does that say about the “rule of law” and corruption at the top?
  • Laundering $Billions in drug money is a criminal offense, but not prosecutable, if done by politically connected bankers.
  • If bankers are not prosecuted for “vast and prolonged” money laundering and aiding “terrorism” then we have a clear confirmation that “too big to fail” (TBTF) banks are higher up the power pyramid than government officials.
  • Supposedly the war on drugs is important. We have spent $Billions and put millions in jail to discourage drug use (How is that working for us?) so it must be important. But apparently it is actually not important if a TBTF bank is laundering $Billions in drug money each year (month?).
  • Supposedly the war on terrorism is important. We have spent $Trillions and killed many people to fight “terrorism” (How is that working for us?) so it must be important. But apparently it is not important if a TBTF bank is assisting the illegal transfer of $Billions to terrorist organizations.

lb_flyI awoke this morning with “Time keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’ … into the future…” running through my head on a non-stop loop. “I want to fly like an eagle…” Some kundalini yoga chants got rid of it for a little while, but now it’s back with a vengeance demanding that I type. As we cross the threshold of 2012 into 2013, it strikes me that time is, indeed, slippin’, slippin’, slippin’ … into a future many people wondered if we’d ever see. With all the doomsday predictions, movies and “prophecies,” a major pause seemed to hang over the end of 2012. I put “prophecies” in quotes because the Mayans never predicted the end of the world, but rather the end of the Old World. Big difference.

According to the Mayans and many other indigenous cultures, 2012 marked the final transition from one age into another –from an age of deception, selfishness and abuse of the Earth to an age of openness, community and restoration of the Earth and our relationship with her. Whether you follow mainstream or alternative news streams, this so-called shift to a positive new age might strain credulity. Take your pick between the over-hyped “fiscal cliff” and “lone shooter” scare tactics from mainstream sources, or the Chicken Little “sky is falling, they can pry my guns from my cold dead fingers” alternative media. You can play selective three monkeys (“see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil — of my chosen trained monkey political party”), driving a further wedge between you and your neighbor, between “the progressive Agenda 21 whores and gun grabbers” vs. “the racists, misogynists, and greedy, rotten scoundrels” but –honestly — how good does that feel? Ancient prophecies aside, do you really want to carry that radioactive, toxic sludge into the New Year?

Because you don’t have to.

Lisa Garber ~ What’s In Your Milk? 20+ Painkillers, Antibiotics, And More

With the aid of innovative and highly sensitive testing, Spanish-Moroccan scientists determined that there could be up to 20 painkillers, antibiotics, and growth hormones in a single glass of milk. The researchers say that the traces are so small that consumers need not worry about adverse effects, so we’ll just have to take their word for it, it seems.

The scientists analyzed 20 samples of milk—cow’s, goat’s, and human—bought in Spain and Morocco, and found a chemical cocktail of ingredients added to the animal’s diet prior to milking or contamination through feed or on the farm. Some of the contaminants found in trace amounts include triclosan (an anti-fungal), 17-beta-estradiol (a sex hormone), and florfenicol (an antibiotic).

It’s worth noting that the image provided by the University of Jaen lists the anti-inflammatory drug diclofenac twice in error. Their findings were published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Advances in Food Safety

University of Jaen’s Dr. Evaristo Ballesteros marveled over their technique, which could be used to assess the food safety of other products. “We believe the new methodology will help to provide a more effective way of determining the presence of these kinds of contaminants in milk or other products.”

“Food quality control laboratories could use this new tool to detect these drugs before they enter the food chain. This would raise consumers’ awareness and give them the knowledge that food is…harmless, pure, genuine, beneficial to health, and free of toxic residues.”

The Violation of our 2nd Amendment

When John Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 the calls for gun control began to rise. In 1968 Martin Luther King was assassinated and the fires were stoked again. Then Robert Kennedy was assassinated and the calls to ban guns went into high gear. The liberal left has the idea that if guns were banned then there wouldn’t be any guns in the hands of criminals. The problem with that is that is why they are called criminals, they don’t obey the laws.

The real reason about the so-called ‘gun control’ isn’t about gun control but completely about control. All evidence concerning the banning of guns and the reduction of crime points to a drastic rise in crime when guns are banned. Look at these facts. Chicago, Washington, D.C. and New York City would be the safest places in the world, if that theory was correct. In 2012 Chicago ranked number one in the world for alpha cities for violent death using guns. Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the country yet they have 19.4 deaths per 100,000 due to gun violence. Last year 440 children of school age were shot, 60 of them dying. We decry the violence in Connecticut, as we should, but say nothing about the violence banning guns creates.

Think about this, how many criminals using guns got to a gun-free school or theater and saw the gun free sign and said, ‘Now what do I do?’ No, they chose the gun free zone because they knew that no one would be firing back at them. We have to remember that Sandy Nook, the Aurora theater, Virginia Tech and Columbine are all gun free zones. Even our military bases are gun-free zones which is why Hassan was able to kill 13 people and wound 29 others. There were laws in place but the criminal broke the law. Remember that is what criminals do. They don’t pay attention to the laws and any more gun laws that restrict gun ownership will also be ignored by the criminals. How do they think that taking away the ability for the innocent to protect themselves, by restricting gun ownership, does anything other than force them to be victims?

Here are some statistics on the relationship of gun ownership to gun violence in the United States. The United States rates number 1 of 178 in the world in personal gun ownership according to gunpolicy.org. There are 88.8 guns per 100 persons in America. The number of gun deaths per 100,000 in population in 2009 was 2.98.

In China the average citizen in not allowed to own a gun yet in 2008 14,811 people were killed using guns. This is a nation where the average citizen is not allowed to own a gun and the number of deaths exceeded Americas rate where there are 88.8 guns per 100 people. The number of registered guns in China in .05 per 100. It is obvious that it is not the number of guns but in whose hands those guns are in.

Canada has very strict guns laws and regulations. As an example an officer of the Court of Appeal of Ontario describes what he had to go through in purchasing a shotgun. “Buying a shotgun required me to attend a weekend long Canadian Firearms Acquisition Course (cost: $320), then apply to the RCMP for a Possession and Acquisition License, submit to a thorough background search, have my three references interviewed and an RCMP officer attend at my house to investigate my means of storage – a separate safe for the gun and ammo AND a trigger lock. Then, a 28-day waiting period.” He went on to state that as a practicing attorney in Toronto for 20 years he was never involved in a case where a criminal used a legal gun in a crime. That is another fact that the left seems to ignore and that is that almost all guns used in crimes were illegal, stolen, black market, etc.

It’s December 31, 2012. Can you believe it, we are at the end of the much anticipated (and dreaded) year 2012? And we survived it! Not much seemed to occur, at least not on the surface. Did that galactic alignment happen? Did the universal cycle complete? Like you, I’m awaiting information from the astronomers regarding the actual planetary line up, but even if all the planets didn’t actually line up, I still felt something–a surreal sense of being in “No Time” as though we are floating through a dreamscape.

Don’t know about you but I spent this holiday season in a rather unusual way. Instead of getting into it and decorating the house, buying tons of presents and partying like there’s no tomorrow, I declined all but a few holiday invitations and stayed home. And sleep, boy did I sleep!

The funny thing about all of this is that as I stayed cocooned in my house, I was very aware of the world continuing on in its unusual manner. I talked on the phone to family and friends. I went to the store and once, when I began feeling a bit too house-bound, bundled the dogs into the back seat and drove around a while. (It’s been really cold here in the Midwest so walks were out of the question for my 10lb. little buddies).

If I’m not the only one that feels this sense of “no time” then perhaps we truly are into the Photon Band/Galactic Superwave. Being in that energy would give us a sense of no time.

If we are in “no time” then we should expect to see some very interesting things. First, we should begin to see our current dysfunctional systems take their final tumble. Are you aware that the world is supposed to be returning to the gold standard tomorrow, per the International Monetary Fund? If that is true then we can expect to see a quick end to the “Fiscal Cliff” drama. In fact, it will become clear that all the supposed debating was simply political posturing in order to delay until the global reset takes place.

So where will that reset leave us? Well–I suspect we will begin to see a lot of good changes occur; the ones we have talking about for years.

Now that the prospects of a second Obama administration are hitting home, the pace of a rapid deterioration are confronting all thinking Americans. The Obama dependency society demands that government is the dispenser of all wants and needs. The threat to the state from a prepared population has become a primary target of the New World Order minions.

So what is so perilous about the Prepper Nation? The overt resistance to arbitrary authority is a fear that any beholden bureaucrat abhors. Combating the grievous culture, which is the federal ruthless and tyrannical government, is a crucial concern of the beltway elitists. Thus, the prepared individual is a dangerous agonist that ignores, if not resists, the best-laid plans for a controlled society.

January is highlighted by a strong communication theme, as both lunations align with Mercury. Several planets in Capricorn bring needed structure and grounding to our goals and projects. Therefore it is a good month for making new resolutions. Later in the month there is forward momentum and a renewed sense of expansion when Jupiter aspects the Sun and turns stationary direct.

We begin the month still under the December New Moon in Sagittarius, with the themes of optimism, freedom and truth-seeking. Uranus turned direct on this same day, giving us more confidence to pursue our ideals, but has also led to more unexpected changes, events and erratic weather.

The month begins on an expansive note with a grand air trine on January 4, between the Moon, Mars and Jupiter. There is a feeling of confidence and buoyancy, so it is a good day to initiate social events or other projects involving communication. As Mercury also squares Uranus at this time, we may receive flashes of intuition. However, beware of verbal blunders and accidents due to overextending oneself. Mercury aligns with both Pluto and Saturn on January 6, which brings depth and stability to our thinking and actions.

On January 7, Mars in Aquarius forms a challenging square to Saturn in Scorpio. This aspect can result in delays or other frustrating circumstances. This energy can be described as trying to drive (Mars) with the brakes on (Saturn). It is best to avoid important new beginnings over the next few days.

Trends forecaster Gerald Celente predicts the global financial system will continue to be propped up.  Celente says, “The scheme continues to go, the scheme being dumping cheap money into the system to perpetuate an economy that should have crashed in 2008.  So, for 2013, our best shot is more of the same, but worse.”  Celente’s advice for people who want to protect themselves financially, “Continue to buy gold and silver because a currency war has broken out.”

It is incredible that mention of a one-world government in many circles is still considered to be conspiracy talk. Fortunately, the global political awakening that arch-globalist Zbigniew Brzezinski has referred to is forcing ever-increasing justifications for their use of globalist language.

One would hope that a relatively new Council on Foreign Relations initiative that is expanding can lay to rest any debate about the desire to form a global government in the name of supposedly solving global problems.

The initiative called The Council of Councils was featured in a recent round table discussion of the central problems facing the world that they believe require multilateral cooperation. The discussions and recommendations released from this convention of experts is important to keep available the next time you hear the label conspiracy theorist hurled in your direction. The title of the round table was Challenges for Global Governance in 2013.

Just as we have seen from other think tanks such as the Project For a New American Century, The Royal Society, and the Brookings Institution, among others; their thoughts translate to reality on a less-than-coincidental frequency, so we would do well to listen to what they are saying.

The Council of Councils initiative was announced in March, 2012 and clearly identifies a strategy for forming alliances across a series of shared concerns as set forth by the CFR. It is important to note from the beginning that the CFR bills itself as non-partisan; and here is where the uninitiated can immediately be tripped up. Non-partisan sounds like a good thing, going beyond typical party divisions, while striking a note that rings of independence and an objective search for the truth.

However, when one understands that in their own words, “The founding membership of the Council of Councils includes leading institutions from nineteen countries, roughly tracking the composition of the Group of Twenty (G20),” we begin to get an inkling that their version of non-partisan means that they are flexible in their use of whatever political language is expedient to get results that go beyond any concept of nationalism.

Sandy Hook: more television brainwashing using guests as fodder

Somebody has to write about these things. Since I’ve worked as a reporter for 30 years, I know enough about how the game is rigged.

I’m talking about the big mass tragedies. Sandy Hook, the Aurora theater, Hurricane Sandy, Katrina.

Many of the interviews with survivors are done on the spot, with no prep. But the biggest interviews are done in a television studio or a home, by a recognized anchor. The setting is arranged beforehand and lit well. A mood and a framework are established.

The guests are prepped by one of the producers before they go on-air. This is where the brainwashing occurs. A potential conflict needs to be resolved. The network has its agenda and the guest has his.

The guest is swimming in a welter of emotions, in the wake of the tragedy. A family member has died. The environment of the storm or the murders is still chaotic.

The network wants to “edit” these feelings, “to convey something specific.”

The producer says to the guest, “What we want to do here is let our audience know how special your daughter was. How wonderful a person she was. We realize, of course, that you’re grieving. We understand and honor that. We do. In this interview, we really want to give you a chance, though, to tell the world what a special girl she was. Talk about her life, her interests, her hobbies, how she was thought of by the family and by friends at school. Honor her memory…”

Now, this may be the last thing on the guest’s mind. This grieving mother may be feeling angry, outraged. She is feeling absolutely desolate. She is feeling lost. Given the opportunity, she would express these feelings.

When people ask what I’ve learned from the experiences in my life I have to smile. What always comes to my mind is faith, accountability, courage, forgiveness and compassion.

I have learned perception is everything, And, most of all participating in your own rescue is not an option. It’s a necessity.

My life has been an amazing adventure from the very beginning. Some may hear my story and say, “How did she survive”? I have gone from the highs and lows of a childhood where I had no idea that my sense of always being different, feeling and seeing so many things beyond my understanding would ever make sense, to an eating disorder, to alcohol abuse, to rape, violence and drug addiction. While any one of these experiences can be defined as horrible, collectively, it’s my life. They all led me to the person I am today, and enabled me the gift of insight and deep compassion for others who suffer.

All of those painful devastating things led to an extraordinary spiritual awakening and the deep integrated recovery that is a reflection of who I am today. I could tell my story as a victim or I could tell it as an adventure where I was the heroine that found the magic of meaning in all stories. Both would be true.

And there are other stories within the stories! There have been more that shape the person I am; writing and singing music, creating bestselling books, meeting the man of my dreams, and countless others. So what do they all mean? Whatever I decide they mean.

I tell them all the same thing. Perception is paramount. I’ve learned to define what the experience could mean to me, only when I allow myself to see through Spirit’s eyes and then the choices really begin.

I’ve learned that in order to thrive in life you MUST participate in your own rescue. This means being willing to take ownership of your role and actions in the experience. Make the choice to:

  • Love yourself enough to ask for help.
  • Love yourself enough to say no when it is necessary.
  • Love yourself enough to receive the help with an open heart. Your self worth depends on it! Participating in your own rescue also means that you are willing to be brave enough to do whatever it takes to turn yourself around.

January, 2013 Happy New Year!

First of all, thanks to all of you who sent cards, messages, gifts, and letters to me at this important time of year. They all mean a lot to me. Our family gathered at our home on Christmas day in groups so that we could have the time to visit and enjoy the kids. It was a very nice Christmas.

Now that the nonsense about the end of the world has been realized, we can get down to the job of creating a new cycle of humanity. The following was given to me during the night recently, and is most appropriate at this time:

Universal consciousness seeping into minds of men, both positive and negative. Making right choices is imperative for the future of humanity. Accept changes and adjust thinking and actions accordingly. This is the Time of Renewal for all mankind as it has been foretold. Each incarnated Soul has the responsibility to protect the way of Love.

The reality of global changes happening all over the world is becoming pretty obvious as the unusual storms sweep across our country and around the world. Hopefully, those who rule our governments will finally realize the changes that need to be made to accommodate our way of life. OK, I won’t get into that. I do personally feel that humanity is starting on a roll toward spiritual understanding that has been sadly lacking for centuries. Every religion has a spark of the reality of universal consciousness, even if undermined by human need for power. Open minds and inner connection with our Creator will ease the path into the future.

Masters, what do you see for us this coming month, and perhaps a bit into the
months ahead of us?

Masters ~ There is a new day coming that will change not only the shape of your planet, but the atmospheric conditions and climates all over the world. Not all at once, of course, but you will begin to see these changes every month, every year, until they can no longer be denied. Yes, the frequencies that surround your planet are changing drastically now, which is causing the unusual storms across the U.S. continent. Such storms will become almost a natural occurance as they roam around the world.

  • China and most of the Asian continent will be experiencing hard times, very cold temperatures and earth movements in a few months that will make many changes in the government and the attitudes of the leaders.
  • The hot continents of the southern reaches of the planet will find temperatures turning colder than usual in the next two or three months, with grand movements.
  • The great jungles in Africa will be inundated with flooding from constant rainfall, forcing old tribes to seek refuge nearer the coasts. This will be an extreme movement of populations all through Africa.
  • The Pacific island chains are being shaken by the deep sea movements of the plates and many of the islands will continue to lose land as the waters rise and fall without warning.
  • Oceans will be moving unrestrainedly as the plates move and merge beneath them.
  • Tsunamis will become more frequent.
  • Mankind has been wise enough to put into place instruments to warn of such movements. Your planet is starting its movement back into a slightly different position in your solar system, which is causing all of this.
