Natural News ~ In a stunning interview with Truthout’s Martha Rosenberg, former FDA drug reviewer, Ronald Cavanaugh, exposes the FDA as a relentless criminal mafia protecting its client, Big Pharma, with a host of mob strategies.
Cavanaugh: “…widespread racketeering, including witness tampering and witness retaliation.”
“I was threatened with prison.”
“One [FDA] manager threatened my children… I was afraid that I could be killed for talking to Congress and criminal investigators.”
Cavanaugh reviewed new drug applications made to the FDA by pharmaceutical companies. He was one of the holdouts at the Agency who insisted that the drugs had to be safe and effective before being released to the public.
But honest appraisal wasn’t part of the FDA culture, and Cavanaugh swam against the tide, until he realized his life and the life of his children was on the line.
What was his secret task at the FDA? “Drug reviewers were clearly told not to question drug companies and that our job was to approve drugs.” In other words, rubber stamp them. Say the drugs were safe and effective when they were not.
Cavanaugh’s revelations are astonishing. He recalls a meeting where a drug-company representative flat-out stated that his company had paid the FDA for a new-drug approval. Paid for it. As in bribe.
He remarks that the drug pyridostigmine, given to US troops to prevent the later effects of nerve gas, “actually increased the lethality” of certain nerve agents.
Cavanaugh recalls being given records of safety data on a drug—and then his bosses told him which sections not to read. Obviously, they knew the drug was dangerous and they knew exactly where, in the reports, that fact would be revealed.

The drug testing and approval process as run by the FDA definitely needs major reform if not a rebuilding from the ground up. But I don’t want to draw the conclusion that western medicine/pharmaceuticals are inherently evil because of the fraud and corruption within the FDA.
I’m an example of someone who tried to rely on naturopathic medicine as much as possible but had to go to western medicine after failing naturopathic treatments through a naturopathic physician. Please keep in mind that there are medical conditions and times when pharm meds are needed to treat otherwise untreatable medical conditions. Remember there was no cure or treatment for syphilis until after penicillin was created (yep syphilis was fatal prior to the 1940′s). Staphylococcal infections were associated with high mortality rates prior to the development of antibiotics, despite home remedies, natural supplements, etc. You got a staphylococcal wound infection or sepsis? You died. I’m just saying this as someone who has had to use pharmaceuticals to treat conditions that naturopathic medicine could not treat (for me at least). But I agree with the the need to get this corruption based on greed out of our system.
FDA Foul drug association and lousy medical applications that literally kill over 950,000 people every year that people seem to think is normal. They are the # 1 killers in our society before auto accidents,guns ect. so why are we not tasking our leaders. Alternative medicine does supply real science backed medicine that by the way is sponsored by mainstream science they just don’t read their stuff or as Jon has shown a hidden agenda is in play.People its time to be honest with our selves and say to our congress allopathic medicine just does not work and it seem that a form of mass genocide is in play here.I personally worked in medical field 24 years and saw many well meaning professionals just give it up to the powers that be to stay out of conflict.Hopefully this is soon to change as more light comes on the planet. Actually a major eugenics agenda is at work here. Poisons like mercury are being put in flu vaccines which is helping to cause the epidemic of dementia currently afflicting the elderly population. They like dementia because it allows them to drain bank accounts via drugs and then elderly care clinics before the patient dies.
What’s sickest of all is the fact that we’re about to have Obama-insurance-lobby-written-non-care unleashed on us while the Congress and White House continue to enjoy the very best care available in the US – for FREE.

This is criminal goverment agency gone wild. These people have gotten away with the outright destruction of law that they think we are just going to roll over and wet stamp their thugie’s behavior forever. Well maybe some will but we have some decent law-abiding people who are going to do their best to lock these thugs up. We as the people must stand our ground and help support them when they do.
