Quote ~The lighter coloured subsoil which had been exposed formed distinct lines which ran across the desert plain. In due course, it became apparent that the archaeologists had stumbled across a much wider phenomenon – the so-called “Nazca Lines” which cover a 30-mile long strip in the foothills of the Andes mountains.

More than sixty years later, not one single theory has been put forward to explain all of the Nazca markings. A prominent scientist has called it “one of the most baffling enigmas of archaeology”bibliotecapleyades.net/sumer
