Alex Newman ~ Liberty Coalition Forms To Support Sheriffs Fighting Gun Control

The New American February 5 2013

A new coalition of law-enforcement officials and liberty-minded organizations led by former Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack is joining forces to defend freedom, with goals that include supporting the hundreds of constitutional sheriffs across America who promise to defend the rights of their constituents from the Obama administration’s lawless assault on the Constitution. As one of its primary projects, the alliance is sending letters to every sheriff in the United States to find out and publicize where they stand on the Second Amendment.

Another key aim of the coalition is to recruit more chief law-enforcement officers — particularly sheriffs, but state and local officials as well — to defend Americans’ unalienable gun rights. As of early February, close to 300 county sheriffs from all over the country and at least six state sheriff associations had publicly announced their intentions to protect the Second Amendment in their respective jurisdictions. The numbers are growing daily; and members and leaders of the new coalition hope to keep that trend accelerating.

“The purpose of this coalition is to simply show the recipients of the letter, our nation’s sheriffs, that there are many groups sponsoring this movement and many people wanting information from their sheriffs regarding their commitment to the Constitution,” explained Sheriff Mack, who helped win a major victory in the Supreme Court against unconstitutional federal gun control and statutes purporting to force sheriffs to comply with federal demands. He also founded the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA), which is helping organize and lead the new coalition.

G. Edward Griffin Documentary ~ The Collectivist Conspiracy

Govt Slaves | November 30 2012

In this exclusive 80 minute video interview, legendary conspiracy author G. Edward Griffin explains how his research, which spans no less than 5 decades, has revealed a banking elite obsessed with enforcing a world government under a collectivist model that will crush individualism and eventually institute martial law as a response to the inevitable backlash that will be generated as a result of a fundamental re-shaping of society.

Griffin discusses the similarities between the extreme left and the extreme right in the false political paradigm and how this highlights a recurring theme – collectivism. Collectivism is the opposite of individualism and believes that the interests of the individual must be sacrificed for the greater good of the greater number, explains Griffin, uniting the doctrines of communism and fascism. Both the Republican and Democrat parties in the United States are committed to advancing collectivism and this is why the same policies are followed no matter who is voted in to the White House.

“All collectivist systems eventually deteriorate into a police state because that’s the only way you can hold it together,” warns Griffin.

Alex Newman ~ Powerful New Video Explores How Agenda 21 Will Affect You

The New American | September 24 2012

Powerful New Video Explores How Agenda 21 Will Affect You While most Americans remain blissfully unaware, the United Nations “sustainable development” scheme known as Agenda 21 will affect virtually every area of life — and it is already here. A short new documentary about the UN plan, using the global organization’s own documents and other sources, explores the implications of this far-reaching agenda and what it means to you and your family.

The film emphasizes the obvious importance of protecting the environment — everybody wants clean air and clean water. However, as the documentary points out, when environmentalism came to a fork in the road, the agenda took one route while the rhetoric took another. For those concerned with freedom, the picture appears grim at first.

America, of course, was founded on the principles of individual liberty and God-given rights, which include the ownership of private property. “Private property and freedom are inseparable,” reads a quote from George Washington cited in the documentary. The Founding Fathers also understood the danger of big government, even waging a war for independence against what was then the most powerful big government on earth — the British Crown.

Beginning some three decades ago, however, the UN began its push to allegedly “save the environment” and achieve what it called “sustainable development.” The short documentary — entitled Agenda 21: How Will It Affect You? — introduces viewers to some of the key players in the scheme including socialist Gro Harlem Brundtland, one of the chief architects of the UN plan.

The film also goes through important milestones such as the 1992 “Earth Summit” in the global effort to impose “sustainability” on the people of the planet. At that crucial conference two decades ago, rulers from all over the world came together and created what came to be known as “Agenda 21.” It quickly became clear what the scheme was about.

“Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class — involving high meat intake, the use of fossil fuels, electrical appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning and suburban housing — are not sustainable,” noted Earth Summit Secretary-General Maurice Strong as he ushered in Agenda 21. In other words, the UN sustainability agenda eventually seeks to curtail people’s choices in terms of food, transportation, housing — even family size, as in Communist China.

TNA @ Rio+ Agenda 21 ~ Lord Monckton Breaks Down the Rio Conference (Video)

Liberty In Our Time | June 23 2012

Lord Christopher Monckton, chief policy advisor to the Science and Public Policy Institute and former science advisor to Margaret Thatcher, tells The New American from Rio that the just-concluded Rio+20 conference was not about saving the planet or eradicating poverty, but about shackling the plant under global government. He also optimistically stresses that the “pointy heads here in Rio” have failed despite their declaration of success and that “the game is up.” Video produced by http://www.libertynewsnetwork.tv

Alex Newman ~ Science Group: UN Rio+20 Summit Must Reduce Global Population

The New American | June 14 2012

Funds vaccination programs to reduce world population

Governments and dictators assembling in Rio de Janeiro for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development must adopt even more stringent policies to reduce the number of people in the world and make sure that those who remain stop consuming so much, a taxpayer-funded network of more than 100 science institutions demanded in a newly released statement.

Meanwhile, new economic models are also needed, claimed scientists associated with the IAP Global Network of Science Academies. Politics and ethics — in other words, the will and morality of the people — cannot be allowed to stand in the way of the UN “sustainability” regime any longer; at least not if the world is to be saved from its primary enemy: humanity.

“For too long, population and consumption have been left off the table due to political and ethical sensitivities,” complained U.K. Royal Society fellow Charles Godfray (pictured next to IAP logo), chairman of the IAP working group, in a bizarre attack on humanity and prosperity. “These are issues that affect developed and developing nations alike, and we must take responsibility for them together.”

The draft UN agreement being developed by national governments and environmental activist groups already deals with population control and reducing consumption, according to statements issued by the global body. But to the anti-population scientist coalition, whose controversial joint statement is being widely touted in the global media, more must be done.

Bob Edelman ~ “U.N. Me” Movie Unmasks the Real United Nations

The New American | June 2 2012

Ami Horowitz, the producer and director of the movie U.N. Me, was motivated by the way Michael Moore interwove humor into his 2002 “documentary” Bowling for Columbine to do something similar with the United Nations. “Say what you will about Michael Moore, the guy knows how to make an entertaining and powerful film,” Horowitz told The Daily Caller.

Horowitz added:

We are dealing with very difficult issues ultimately — very heavy stuff — and to do it without levity, I thought, would be a recipe for disaster. Nobody wants to sit there for 90 minutes … watching terrible images cross the screen, so I knew humor had to be a part of it.

In his film, Horowitz does an expert job presenting the “very heavy stuff” exposing the corruption of the widely revered UN institution — so expert in fact that his exposure swamps the levity. But it is the information and not the humor that’s important, and Horowitz cannot be blamed for the fact that his information is shocking not humorous. What he has wrought is one of the most terrifyingly horrific presentations of the truth about the United Nations ever captured on celluloid.

U.N. Me, which opened Friday in 11 cities, starts out almost apologetically, pointing out some small amount of good the UN has performed over the years. But this was done clearly to set up the viewer for what’s to come, including:

  • The Cote d’Ivoire incident where UN peacekeeping troops fired on innocent civilians.
  • The Oil for Food scam where Saddam Hussein’s oil vouchers that were supposed be used to feed his people were instead used to build his personal wealth and buy  influence from top officials around the world, including the United Nations.
  • The genocides in Rwanda and Darfur, which were aided and abetted by top people in the UN.
  • A Nobel Prize winner’s warnings of corruption that were disregarded by the UN as flawed and irrelevant

The English language is insufficiently stocked with words to express adequately here the degree of evil involved in the fraud, deceit, and deliberate murder of hundreds of thousands of people that the film exposes. It’s almost like lifting a rug and finding whole colonies of cockroaches nesting there. The the horror documented by the film is just plain brutal and revolting. When it ends, the final frames remind those in the audience that the U.S. government has been funding this horror to the tune of $8 billion annually.

Even reviewers favorably inclined to the UN have trouble answering the charges of corruption laid out by Horowitz. Mindy Farabee, writing for the Los Angeles Times, said the United Nations is a “once noble enterprise” that has been rendered “dangerously absurd by corruption, poor oversight of troops and self-preservation for its own sake.” A reviewer with the Hollywood Reporter weakly admitted that the film exposes the UN’s “institutional dysfunction” and offers “interesting perspectives” on its well-documented travesties.

Alex Newman ~ Tennessee Passes Resolution Slamming “Socialist” UN Agenda 21

The New American | April 25 2012

Even as the United Nations prepares to massively expand its “sustainable development” agenda at the upcoming sustainability summit in Rio de Janeiro, lawmakers in Tennessee approved a joint resolution blasting the global body’s controversial Agenda 21 — adopted at the 1992 Earth Summit — as an “insidious” socialist plot. All across America, opposition to the UN schemes is building quickly.

The popular measure (HJR 587) in Tennessee was passed by a bipartisan 72-to-23 landslide in the state House of Representatives last month. And on Tuesday, it was overwhelmingly approved in the Senate with 19 in favor and 11 against.

A broad coalition of activists from across the political spectrum came together to support the resolution, urging lawmakers to stand firm in the face of attacks to protect the people of Tennessee. And the efforts paid off: Supporters celebrated its passage Wednesday as another small victory for liberty, private-property rights, and national sovereignty.

Despite being non-binding, analysts said legislators in Tennessee sent a powerful message by recognizing the “destructive and insidious nature” of the controversial UN scheme. The resolution, among other points, urges the public and policymakers to reject Agenda 21, which it describes as “a comprehensive plan of extreme environmentalism, social engineering, and global political control.”

Echoing a similar measure adopted earlier this year by the Republican National Committee (RNC), the resolution approved in Tennessee cites the UN’s own documents to expose the global plan. Agenda 21 policy describes “social justice,” for example, as “the right and opportunity of all people to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment,” lawmakers observed.
