Dorene Carrel ~ Astrology Report for May 2013

Astro Connections Blog  May 2 2013

May is highlighted by a solar eclipse in Taurus and lunar eclipse in Sagittarius.  Eclipses intensify new and full moons, making us aware of our true priorities, as well as signaling major beginnings and endings. The third of seven exact squares will form between Uranus and Pluto, reminding us that we are in the midst of transformative changes for ourselves and the world.  Beginning in mid-April, the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars gradually entered a slower, mellower pace as they moved from Aries to Taurus.  Along with Saturn in Scorpio, this fixed energy can bring more grounding and focus, as long as we can remain open to positive changes.

During the first week of May, we are in the last phase of the April Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse, with a theme of healing and releasing old patterns.  It is best to focus on resolution and completion until May 9. Decisions made between eclipses can have unexpected results, while matters begun surrounding an eclipse can assume greater importance. From May 5-7, Mercury and Mars in Taurus will form a harmonious trine to Pluto in Capricorn, which increases our focus and ability to take a deeper approach in our communications and actions.  It is a good time to take positive actions leading to greater empowerment and commitment.

On May 9, the New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs at 19 Taurus 31. It is aligned with Mercury, Mars, South Node and Pallas in Scorpio. Taurus themes include personal resources/finances, along with needs, desires and values. Mercury and Mars combine intellect and action to enliven communications, while Pallas provides a holistic perspective. As this is a South Node eclipse, the focus is on releasing the old (patterns, beliefs, etc.) so an upgrade can occur that leads to new beginnings.

Mahala ~ Planet Alert May 2013

Mahala’s Astrology  April 30 2013

What do you think about the intense energy we have been feeling with Mars in the fire sign Aries along with the sun? It has been a very war-like violent energy, as witnessed by the event in Boston and the fertilizer plant in Texas. I am so glad we are out of the Aries energy and into the energy of Taurus, which is ruled by Venus, although Mars will still be traveling along with the Sun for a few more days. We are still feeling the Mars energy, and Syria is now in the spot light.

On the full moon day of April 25th I heard on the news that Syria was using chemical weapons. I thought -oh no – this is bad news because the moon and Saturn are over Syria, Iran, and Israel, and the Sun and Mars are opposing that aspect. I was concerned about what that energy would trigger, and here we are in another crisis. How will this crisis be solved?

I had the time period from April 15th to the end of the month underlined in my Astrology book because of the intense energy it would create. It started out on Monday the 15th with the gold bubble bursting. Many people lost lots of money with their gold stock. It really took a tumble.

Then we had the Boston Marathon and everyone knows what happened there. Then a couple of days later there was an explosion at a chemical plant in Texas. That was a very fiery explosive week and it appeared to me like Boston was a war zone. My compassion goes out to everyone who was hurt, or lost loved ones in those events. We need to move into a higher frequency Earth where violence does not exist.

Taurus rules money. We have already experienced the downfall of the gold market. With Mars opposing Saturn it seems like there will be more challenges around money. Normally Mars and Saturn together bring police involvement, military action and challenges with money. Maybe the old system will continue to change so the new money system can finally manifest. Where is the abundance for everyone? Will that be a manifestation of the New Earth? If so, let’s all see us living on that Earth. It’s just a matter of changing our perception of life and feeling and manifesting love.

The meaning of the degree of this past full moon (April 25) was ‘A woman at an open grave.’ My degree book goes on to say that the principle of integration and form is withdrawn; leaving the Void-the open grave that ends all attachments. Check out the Tarot card called Judgment. It has a picture of a woman angel blowing a trumpet (Gabrielle) and people are coming out of their graves. Does this mean we have released our attachments to the past? New creation comes out of the Void. What is next?

Now the upcoming eclipse New Moon is on May 9th. The meaning of this degree is a new continent rising out of the ocean. It brings the surge of new potentiality after the crisis. When the mind has been emptied and light has been called upon to purify the consciousness freed from its attachment and contaminations, a new release of life can emerge out of the infinite ocean of potentiality. It sounds like we are on our way to something new. How exciting is this?

Oracle Report  Full Moon Phase – Moon in Libra

Quite in contrast to yesterday, beautiful and creative energy enters today with Venus’ conjunction with Neptune. This happens one day each year and it is awesome if you can attach to it! Neptune is considered the “higher octave” of Venus, meaning the conjunction takes the very best of Venus and brings it to lofty new heights. It exudes the love of life.

The Venus-Neptune conjunction aspects (by sextile) the Chiron Point (4 Taurus). The Chiron Point is the degree in the sky where Chiron was located when it was first discovered (it’s “birthplace”). I frequently reference it because it is such a telltale element. Anyone with 4 Taurus in their natal chart or anyone with an aspect to 4 Taurus is “Chirotic,” meaning their lives embody or follow along the path of the Wounded Healer.

Laura Bruno ~ How To Utilize The October 2012 Full Moon, Hurricane Sandy And Mercury Retrograde

Laura Bruno’s blog | October 29 2012

Just a heads up and reminder: energy is energy, and you can influence its direction. If you have any situations or relationships that have long outworn their usefulness, you can do yourself and the East Coast a favor by siphoning off some of Hurricane Sandy’s energy and using it to clear out what no longer serves in your own life.

The massive influx of energies on the East Coast right now could use a little buffering. I’ve posted before that attempting to tone down something expansive presents a much larger challenge than focusing on what you do want. Spending too much focus on Sandy will only increase her force. If you do want a clearing, then you can work with the power of this storm to wash away whatever stands in your way.

Tonight we’ve got what some people have called the “most powerful Full Moon of 2012.” Although Full Moon’s traditionally support increase, this particular Full Moon shares a Taurus/Scorpio connection that emphasizes clearing away what you no longer want or need. Pluto, god of the underworld, rules Scorpio. Anything dark, deep and ugly comes up for reevaluation. Can you say, “Shadow Work”? Venus rules Taurus, and this Full Moon in Taurus offers a chance to ground, earth and tangibly replace the old with the preferred new.

Feng shui, the method of redecorating to increase beneficial Chi (life force energy) in one’s home, literally means, “Wind and Water.” Sounds like a hurricane to me! What’s the first step of feng shui? Decluttering. Use all that wind and water to declutter your life on whatever levels need a good scrub. You’ll appreciate all the fresh, new, positive energy when it has somewhere to move into your life.

“There is a sensuality to this Full Moon in Taurus. It is possible to want to indulge in whatever you emotionally desire to experience. Food, sex, drink, shopping, whatever you are drawn to that activate the physical senses. Just be careful not to over do it and go extreme. All things in moderation.”

“…The vibe of the Full Moon in Taurus is a rich grounded energy that provides the space for you to feel you can overcome the stuck points. An opportunity to detach from that which is unhealthy and toxic so you can realign with being loyal to your Soul and the Divine.”

“The Full Moon in Taurus helps one to get in touch with the deeper Spiritual values and also support one to experience healthy emotional well-being. Solid, steadfast and concentrated energy towards whatever intention you state is the energy surrounding this full moon phase.”

From the always insightful Cathy Lynn Pagano and her Wisdom of Astrology:

“With the Taurus Full Moon we become aware of what no longer serves life and we get a chance to transform old stuck energy and feelings and release them. Leaving us open to new growth and energy once we go through the ‘letting go’ of the death cycle.”

“Taurus’ journey is one of personal values. Souls incarnate in Taurus to learn what is worth building into life, which can only be discovered when we understand our core values, our self-worth and our attitude toward money, security and the sensual pleasures of life.”

Meredith Murphy ~ Mini-Energy Update: Be Just As Your Are

Expect Wonderful | October 26 2012

Lying on my bed just now I wanted so much to just telepathically share with you…so I’ve sent this message both ways. Receive and read as you feel inclined. :) This is just a short note to comment on the current energies and the upcoming alignments.

Big shifts are underway, and we’re approaching the Cross Quarter Day, the mid-point between the September Equinox and the long-heralded December Solstice–November 6th. We also have a full moon on Monday, and this full moon is in Taurus, which makes it a highly physical time. Observations about this Full Moon speak of having lots of energy and getting things done–particularly things you care about deeply. While approaching this, remember the ease and benefit of taking things small step by small step, and allowing things to accumulate through persistence into form.

Oracle Report | Disseminating Moon Phase – Moon in Aries/Taurus

Today’s picture is from the auroras over the Yukon produced by the CME that is in effect. Photo by J. Tucker from spaceweather.com.

Wise owls are called upon today to bring balance and equilibrium to situations. Things get out of control today and those who are able to keep their wits by understanding that we are in the last years of the Kali Yuga- the time of balance and enlightmentment – will be able to keep things on track today. So you have a mission. Nothing special is required other than being yourself and using your energy to sway things when they turn negative. Most likely it will be important to bridge the gap or go against the status quo to bring in new and innovative elements.

Wise owls are nothing if not charming, and this is what saves the day today. The Black Moon is in the last degree of Taurus. It will move into Gemini on the night of September 11th. Until then, fears about safety and security are dominant. The Black Moon is traveling alongside the South Node right now, meaning it is bringing up things from the past (past lives even). Situations that are happening now are hold-overs from the distant past that are trying to come to resolution. It is important not to force things with this energy. It needs to resolve itself without impetus from us.

onplanetliz ~ Transformation For The UK (Part 1)

onplanetliz  | August 23 2012

Head’s up! Change is a’ coming!

Pluto, the principle of transformation, is about to transit the UK’s Capricorn Sun. And never mind that Pluto has been demoted to ‘dwarf’ status, he can still pack a wallop – remember it is not the size of the ship but the motion of the cosmic ocean.

The Greeks called him Plouton and his dark, underworld realm was called Hades. Because gold and other such valuables were mined from underground, Pluto also came to be associated with riches. These days we claim this association when we use the word Plutocrat to describe those who rule by wealth.

What resides in the dark is indeed worth bringing to the surface – no matter how much we have been conditioned to leave it alone, repress it or most of all fear it. In fact, history shows that the more we try to escape our unconscious rumblings or repressed content, the more it runs up to bite us in the ass.

When all is said and done it is only unconscious, irrational energy but this energy is powerful and can disrupt our lives if we don’t know what to do with it. A good way to experience what I am saying is to think of a hose that has a powerful jet of water coursing through it but with no one to hold the nozzle and direct the surging stream. What happens is that the hose begins to flip erratically, snaking its way across the ground and spraying water every which way.

Any time any individual entity has a Pluto transit, it is an opportunity to learn to use that volatile energy in a controlled creative way.

The 1801 UK chart:

Note the Sun (circle with a centre dot) in Capricorn, sitting right on the midnight point (IC).
In Astrology the angles AC/DC/MC and IC, shown in red, are points of great impact on the life of the individual entity the chart represents. When Pluto crosses over the Sun (Soul, solo, son, Hero, essence, vital self) it will also cross the IC.

The IC marks the root position of the House of CANCER the CRAB. In the chart of a country this represents its people, patriotism, roots, houses, communal activities, family units and the way a country cares for its own people.

Onplanetliz’s Blog ~ “It Was The Bells That Made Me Deaf!”

Onplanetliz’s Blog | July 27 2012

Good day! I awoke this morning feeling like I was in a different world.

I want to thank everyone who left comments for the last post. I have to say what a wonderful thing it was to discover that there are so many intelligent, switched on, decent people out there. I wish I could respond to all of you but I’ll never get the next post out if I do. Just know I appreciated every single one.

Big Ben rang out for 3 minutes this morning of the 27th, from 08:12 am to 08:15, for 30 times.  I didn’t really want to hear it but I had to find out for myself because the media was saying 40 times and that felt wrong. Hear it for yourself on you tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4AuXqQIroU

Why did all the media report 40 times? Good question. They are either very sloppy journalists or they are doing it on purpose. This is the 30th modern Olympiad, so 30 rings seems relevant. In Roman numerals 30 is written XXX. In numerology XXX = 666.

Intriguing, yes?

6+6+6=1+8=9

Note that the word FOX = 666 = 9

Onplanetliz’s Blog ~ The Stars Of The Olympics

Onplanetliz’s Blog | July 26 2012 | Thanks, A.L.

Please read the comments section below this article for concerns raised by a couple readers regarding inaccuracies associated with the timing of the bells stated in the article vs the time the bells actually rang. Thank you. ~Gillian

First and foremost my discipline is Astrology so of course I drew up the charts for the upcoming Olympic events out of curiosity as well as to aid my ongoing studies. Well, I wasn’t disappointed – the symbolism is both astonishing and a bit disconcerting.

The connections between recent events, the numerology and the astrology, were so numerous it was impossible to include them all in one article. Hence, I decided to write enough of what I discovered to hopefully inspire others to do their own research and tune into these developmental times in their own way.

Officially, the opening ceremony is at 9pm, on the 27th of July.

Here is the chart for this time.

To keep things simple for those of you who are not familiar with Astrology, the thing to keep in mind is that the most important factors in an Astrological chart is the Sun, the Moon, the ‘ruler of the chart’, planets near the cardinal angles and the Cardinal Angles themselves, portraying the cross in the circle or the sunrise, noon, sunset and midnight points of the SUN’S journey.

Ordinarily, casting a chart only involves using our own star and the planets of our solar system. But there is also a tradition of using certain prominent fixed, slow moving stars and seeing where they lie on a given chart.

The first thing that struck me in the 9pm chart was 9° degrees of the sign of Aquarius, coming over the horizon. Note: the number 9 (both time and degree) and the sign of the dawning Aquarian Age. The chart also has the Moon in the 9th house and both  the Noon (MC) position and the ‘Dragon’s head’ in Sagittarius, the 9th sign of the zodiac.

The Dragon’s head is distinguished in Astrology as the Moon’s  North Node or where eclipses occur. The Dragon is half bird, half reptile and symbolically joins together the Earth and the Sky.

Robert Wilkinson ~ Astrology In July 2012 – The Grand Irrationality In Motion Triggering The 2011 Gemini Solar Eclipse

Aquarius Papers | July 13 2012 | Thanks, Minty

Also see “21st Century Astrology – What is the Grand Irrationality and Why Is Everything So Strange?

Yesterday through Sunday Venus is triggering the Grand Irrationality. It is biseptile Neptune and triseptile Pluto, showing we’re all at a fork in the road wherever we have Taurus, Gemini, Libra, Capricorn, and Pisces in our charts. It also gives us “Venusian hints” about late July through late August, a time that will bring us karmic comebacks, closures, and openings related to last Summer’s Solar Eclipse in Gemini.

I’ll be posting an update on the Grand Irrationality in the near future, since some new fans of the site may not be familiar with this pandemic global phenomenon in play for the past 17 years. Expect this time to bring important shifts, choices, and changes that will alter the course of destiny wherever Venus, Neptune, and Pluto are in your chart. The configuration is anchored by Neptune in Pisces septile Pluto in Capricorn, and is set into motion every time a planet makes a septile, biseptile, or triseptile to either of these outermost transpersonal planets.

Right now the hot zones are approximately 7-11 Capricorn, 29 Aquarius-3 Pisces, 20-24 Aries, 12-16 Gemini, 3-7 Leo, 25-29 Virgo, and 16-20 Scorpio. If you have a planet or sensitive point in any of these zones, you’re going through some important decisions and changes that will affect your future in powerful ways.

Oracle Report ~ Tuesday June 12 2012

Oracle Report | Third Quarter Moon Phase

Overnight, two major astrological events took place: Chiron stationed retrograde and Jupiter entered Gemini. These changes are palpable within the energy today and will initially produce the potential to feel isolated, lonely, or alienated. You will probably naturally feel more introverted and quiet. Chiron will be retrograde until mid-November and is going to amp up already-present energies that will increasingly open us up to spiritual energies and, in turn, heal our individual sense of separation or lingering feelings of loneliness. To do this, the feeling of isolation is enhanced today, but not only by Chiron, but also Jupiter.

In mythological astrology, both Chiron and Jupiter are great teachers. They are joining forces now to teach us that the feeling of loneliness is an illusion and that we are never truly alone. They will teach us that nothing about ourselves – our happiness, our sense of self and self-esteem, our success – is dependent on anything in the material world. We naturally exist in the uninterrupted dreaming of the planet and when we identify ourselves or place our locus of control outside of that connection, we are astray. Feelings of loneliness, sadness, and dissatisfaction ensue.

Angela Peregoff ~ The Week Ahead (April 30 2012)

 The Week Ahead | April 30 2012

“A new paradigm comes along because it solves problems . . . that couldn’t be solved under the old paradigm . . . Create your own vision of what we might become as old paradigms slip away and new one coalesce.” - Michael W. Munn.

Are you paying attention to the universal sleight-of-hand that is about to happen this coming weekend? If you’re under pressure and thinking that it has all been self-generated then I have some good news for you. The first of two Super Full Moons will occur on May 5th (in Scorpio) and the second a month later on June 4th (in Sagittarius). And just for good measure the cosmos is tossing in a solar eclipse in Gemini on May 20th with a lunar eclipse occurring on the full moon (June 4th) also in Gemini.

If you are trying to figure out a clever way to stay in your body while enduring the torture of spiritual disconnect during the days leading up to and following the first full moon then you certainly won’t be alone. Some words that come to mind when I think of the effects of the upcoming full moon: disassociated, disengaged, displaced, dissatisfied, discouraged, disappointed, disheartened, desperate, defeated, dejected, despondent…dying?

Apparently any feelings of death or dying are appropriate because that is precisely what is happening in some regard – we are dying to yet another layer of the self-created illusion of who we “think” we are in order to become who we truly are. Over the last several days I have had folks in my world expressing a sense of not having direction as how to create the next step in their lives. With the cosmos ready to enter its own state of flux it is clear that long term decisions are not to be made. Nothing is feeling in true alignment at this moment, so tensions and frustrations over a lack of clarity over direction can be quite high. What we can dwell on and move with are the rewards of such cosmic challenges!
