Here we are in June already and the year is half over. Has time ceased to exist? The Sun is in the sign of Gemini right now which is an air sign and rules wind. It also rules communication of all kinds. Have any of you had computer problems lately, like the last three weeks or so, or was it just me? This is why my article is late. I finally got my computer fixed after many challenges.

I am so grateful to be living in the Pacific Northwest. It is so beautiful here and so far we have missed the major Earth changes. The Earth is definitely in a shift. I have never seen so many events all over the world occurring simultaneously. There has been major flooding in the past month in several places in the world including Norway, many countries in Europe, China, India, the central part of the United States, Florida, Alaska, and probably other places that I am not aware of. Could this be caused by Planet X next to our sun? Many people have taken pictures of this object, and the prophecy is it will cause lots of flooding on Earth.

Cliff High made a prediction from his web bots that before the first week in June there would be a major global coastal event. I would say we have had a major global event with lots of water. Before the flooding happened it said a bridge would go down in the Pacific Northwest. That happened last month and made a mess of I-5. He also said there would be major computer glitches. I can attest to that event. And the flooding definitely happened all over the world.

The planet Jupiter was right over Moore, Oklahoma when the tornado went through that area causing a lot of damage. The next tornado on Friday had winds that were 300 miles an hour and the storm was 2 ½ miles wide. That was a huge storm. I was told years ago that when we went through a magnetic pole shift (which is happening now) the winds would be up to 300 miles an hour. This magnetic shift started way back in 1998. We are now in the finale.

Friday evening’s Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse is an exciting one, the last of three eclipses in this early spring time frame, taking place just a few days following the most recent installment of the perfect square between Uranus and Pluto in Cardinal signs, and strongly highlighting as well both Saturn and Neptune in close trine with each other. All four outer planets including Saturn are therefore very much emphasized at this time. Those born with sensitive points in their natal chart at around 4-12 degrees of any sign are most directly affected, as one or more of these powerhouse planets will likely square, conjunct or oppose such placements. As far as Sun Sign, this means everyone born within a few days of the first of the month, either at nearly the end or in the first few days of his or her birth month. Pretty much everyone will feel the intensity to some extent as we head into another summer of Uranus-Pluto, the hallmark in fact of this entire decade that I like to call the “Turbulent Teens.”

All four of these planetary archetypes connote the difficult acceptance of a process of radical change, although from different angles. Saturn, the farthest planet actually visible without instrumentation and the only one known to the ancients, works upon you by a process of extreme limitation. You see clearly where your responsibility lies, and there is no escape. This seems dire, but certainly at times circumstances do conspire to inform us that there is one path for us to take, one way out, and although not necessarily pleasant it will be the road with the long-term reward of lessons learned and wisdom regained for the next stage of our journey.

During the first two Uranus/Pluto squares many people woke up, actually intensely feeling their real connections to others. This is the awakening of the human heart. Of course, with so many people lighting up, chaos is rampant in the world. Sometimes I wonder if we are right in the middle of the Second Coming! One by one, people sense that the fabled return is not Jesus coming again: the Second Coming is about awakening love in our hearts. I actually think this is what’s going on. No wonder everything is so intense.

Pluto turned retrograde April 12th, so the third square is quickly closing in now. At this point, many people realize that our species is in extreme crisis. If we want to survive, we have to balance human needs with planetary resources, only the very first step back into balance. Also, each person must remember what it feels like to be a sensitive and happy human. This is feasible because so many are integrating the negative side—befriending the dark. This involves seeing things that have always gone on in our world instead of just being nice. Some are responding very courageously to this polarity expansion, while others drop out because they just don’t want to see ugly side of life. I understand; I take a total break from it at least once a week.

The covers for evil acts—such as rampant sexual abuse of children, governments orchestrating mass trauma events like 9/11, and bankers fleecing the public—have been stripped off! The only difference between now and the past is that a majority knows what’s going on, for example publicizing that women get raped in India. They always have been! The condition of our sacred world is depressing, overwhelming, and sometimes seems hopeless, but it is changing. When enough people face cold hard reality, it changes. And, this is it!

If you will recall my reading for the previous Uranus/Pluto square on September 19, 2012, I suggested that we all need to make some very clear intentions because our reality—3D—is governed by quantum principles, such as Entanglement. We are all tangled up together amidst

constantly changing probable outcomes, so the changes in the collective are horrendous, yet magnificent! Since everybody has free will, some choose to kill people, such as little children in a New England school or shooting Malala Yusafzai on a bus in Pakistan. Meanwhile, the majority is now realizing the murderers are those who get power and profit from weapons. Soon after the second Saturn/Pluto square, violent acts against Western powers that occupy far distant countries became a dominant theme. The Libyan US Ambassador was murdered in the Benghazi Embassy; Afghan and Pakistani soldiers and policeman ambushed their American trainers; and a second Korean war may be in the making. As we come to the end zone of the second square, North Korea is screaming at the US over its 60-year occupation of South Korea. If this does not happen, then the US will end its expensive commitment to South Korea. Regardless of all that, many beautiful intentions were carried out by each one of you. In the quantum, the dark shares equally with the light so with so many people opening their hearts, ugly truths seep out like sewage in the basement.

3rd Uranus-Pluto Square May 20, 2013

The May 20, 2013 Uranus-Pluto Square is very close to the closing of the Tri-eclipse portal which began on April 2, and closes on May 25. This timing only ramps up the power of the Uranus/Pluto Square and makes a statement about the quality of the eclipse portal. More on this in a forthcoming newsletter.

X-Flare 5-14-13

I just wanted to mention that we have had quadruple Solar Flares (X-Class, the most powerful) in the wake of the Annular Eclipse on May 10th. So far, the last flare occurred on May 14, 2013 – this was the fourth X-Class solar flare in two days. They were all from the same solar region, sunspot 1748. This sunspot region has now turned the corner from the other side of the Sun (as it rotates) and is now facing Earth. (To read more of the technical info on these flares, go to the NASA website)

Much has been said about the intense evolutionary energies that sizzle in our etheric bodies (and the etheric body of the planet, of course) when the sun bursts forth like this. I do believe that the two are related. More on that another time. I just wanted to call your attention to this occurrence – it also dovetails with the SOLAR PLEXUS quality of the Uranus Square Pluto configuration that we explore in this newsletter.

The reason I mentioned the Solar Plexus chakra is because I am putting forth a theory that the 7 hits of the Ur/Plu Square are aligned with the 7 Chakras.

The outer planets in our solar system are genearlly Trans-personal, i.e. they usually operate at the level of the collective, of mass consciousness. In our times, however, the outer planets have more influence on the consciousness of the individual at a personal level. This is because we are on a fast-track of evolution at a critical stage in the timeline of humanity and the planet. The vibrations of these energies at the edge of our solar system bring potential for awakening and transformation. And so, when two outer planets engage in a key alignment, it sets the tone for decades, and provides an opportunity for shamanic initiation into higher realities and deeper expressions of love.

The Astrology of May features Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto plus two eclipses. Mercury runs through Taurus during the first part of May, being conjunct to the May 9th Solar Eclipse taking place in the 20th degree of that sign, which also conjuncts the South Node of the Moon and makes a quintile aspect to idealistic Neptune. Mercury then enters Gemini, the sign of its rulership, on the 15th, just in time to host the Sun for the powerful Gemini-Sagittarius Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of May 24th, the third eclipse in just this one thirty-day period, encouraging us to think as well as feel our way through. Eclipses are more intense lunations — as recent headlines also indicate — making these transformative times that we are currently managing to live through even more poignant and accelerating the drum beat of change.

The big news this month is the converging of Uranus and Pluto for their third encounter of the close kind. This happens on May 20th. There were two previous exact hits last year of their revolutionary and pressure-packed square, out of a total of seven, with reverberations echoing down to the final years of these “Turbulent Teens.” We are, all of us, caught up in the vice of change and we might as well acknowledge this simple and straightforward fact. No one will emerge in the same condition as they started. The culture itself will undergo massive and radical transformation before we are finished, or else we are finished in quite another sense of the word. We must hang together now in collective action that is both local and ultimately global, or we will dangle separately.

Uranus vs Pluto ~Liz D’Aste

‘Power gained is power maintained’ is a saying that came to my mind as we move into the second phase of the Pluto/Uranus square. For those of you not familiar with astrological technique, this means that the planet Uranus and the ‘dwarf’ planet Pluto are making a hard 90 degree angle to each other from the perspective of the ecliptic (the path the earth takes around the sun).

As some of you may remember from a previous post of mine  – a similar aspect between these 2 planets occurred back in the 1930′s during the rise of the Third Reich. A square between outer planets can take years to complete due to their retrograde motion and slow progression through the signs.  This particular one started last year, near exactitude during the Olympics and Jubilee in the UK and will square exactly 6 times ending in March 2016.

Now the second square is upon us which came into orb (meaning close enough to have an affect) April 13, will be exact in May and then wane in June 2013. This will mark the beginning of  power versus revolution – phase 2. Phase 3 begins September 13 and finishes in December.

Whomever may have decided to hitch their wagon to this square in order to enhance their power is just getting started. That disturbing Olympic ceremony sounded the ‘Do’ and now we have the next note.

Wednesday’s Full Moon is yet another in the series of potent Full Moon configurations that have been happening around the end of every month. They have been taking place in the first ten degrees of their respective signs, bringing those signs into prominence and aspecting also the outer planets at similar degrees of Aries (Uranus); Scorpio (Saturn); Capricorn (Pluto); and Neptune and Chiron). It is these signs that have also been hardest hit lately with the powerful currents of outer planet archetypes, although all signs, and all individuals, are vitally affected.

The Full Moon phase in any case represents a reaching out for balance, and for relationship, and in the case of this Libra Full Moon, this is especially so. Also the Sun exactly conjuncts Venus, again symbolizing issues predominate of self and other. The Sun is also in close conjunction with Uranus, with Mars nearby, so that surprises are more than likely, as well as the potential for startling news, perhaps even accidents. Involuntary actions or reactivity might well have unintended consequences. We are also currently more sensitive to feeling hurt by our closest associations, since Jupiter is in perfect square right now with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, while Saturn remains in aspect to both and Pluto sextiles Saturn and Chiron, creating a close Yod formation focused on Jupiter. Finally, this Full Moon makes a T-square to Pluto, bringing into highlight the radically revolutionary Uranus-Pluto square, indicating personal and societal transformation, ever present now and reaching out for another crescendo by mid-May.

March of 2013 witnesses a very rare alignment of celestial heavy-hitters, namely an Isosceles Trapezoid. This highly symmetrical pattern keys off the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square, the defining aspect of our times, although the next point at which these two will be exactly squared is not until May. Filling out the pattern are sextile aspects from each end of the square, joined by inconjunct, with two additional inconjuncts forming an internal “X” from the four corners of the trapezoid.

Essentially, this pattern is composed of two interlocked Yods, bound together by a stressful square. Yods, also known as the Finger of Destiny, are formed when two planets in sextile along the base of the Yod are each inconjunct to a third planet at its apex. Yods represent fated or predestined events, situations which cannot be avoided, for good or ill, and reap karmic benefit or punishment.

The planets in question are Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in Capricorn. Often when a trapezoid forms in the sky, a key component is one of the more swiftly-moving inner planets, indicating a fleeting or transient nature, but here, moderate to major slow movers are involved, giving the pattern much more stability and durability than would normally be the case. The first of the six exact aspects that bind and create this pattern occurs February 13, and the last on May 20, but March and early April are dominated by the trapezoid, with four exact alignments within a five-week period, and all planets are within orb of their relative aspects throughout the period.

Several other planets and minor bodies of the solar system will conjoin the principals in this complex pattern, but to begin at the beginning, let’s discuss the various primary energies interwoven into the trapezoid’s structure.

The Uranus/Pluto square forms the backbone of the pattern, and is the longest-lived portion of it, being in effect for almost three years, from June 2012 through March 2015 (for a detailed look at 2013’s exact squares, see my article “Galactic 2013, Part One” in the December 2012 issue of Daykeeper Journal). Essentially, this is a conflict of action (first-quarter square) between the forces of change, challenge and innovation (Uranus), coming from a rebellious, iconoclastic stance bent on individuation (Aries), and those of entrenched power structures (Pluto) coming from a hierarchical, traditionalist stance bent on conformity (Capricorn).

This is never good. That is, it can lead to something very good indeed, but the process is often ugly. Tension, strife, open conflict and turmoil: these are the likely results of this combination. This mix represents the individual versus society, free-form versus structure.

The Astrology of February features Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Chiron and Neptune, together with a Pisces line-up of planets that takes place in coordination with the February 9th Aquarius New Moon. All month, from the evening of February 1st on, Mars is in the very interesting and mystical sign of Pisces, where there is definitely a softer and more subtle approach to his feisty and normally outer-directed energy. It’s as though that energy were turned inside and tuned to distant dimensions – more appropriate to poetry and music than to the active and assertive nature bordering on aggression that is normally associated with the fiery Red Planet.

Mercury joins Mars in Pisces around the time of the New Moon, and closely conjoins Chiron as it does so, making a tight triple conjunction, which is additionally within orb of conjunction with Neptune in the early degrees of the sign. Saturn is stationing in the mid-month time frame, in trine with these three planets, and in bi-quintile to revolutionary Uranus, to which the stodgy and conservative energy is antithetical. Revolution is in the air, as it has been for these last few years, and there is also a considerable conservative backlash that is becoming even more intense as this second climactic year in a row – 2013 – gets underway.

With Saturday evening’s Full Moon we come to a crux of a decision point. The Full Moon always represents a stage of flowering or maturity of what has come before it in the lunar cycle, as the impulse of the New Moon finds its fulfillment. In this case the Sun and Moon in their opposition make aspects to all the outer planets, and in particular they form a difficult T-square toSaturn, ensuring that if we are wise we will slow down and think everything over at least twice before proceeding. We are also at the very same time paradoxically encouraged to take bold action in support of our dreams, sinceJupiter and Mars are also powerfully configured. Finally, the presence ofChiron in the mix of energies tells us that whatever we do decide, there will be an element of pain involved in our choices.

Chiron is the fulcrum of the lever that brings us into emotional stability in spite of everything, but we do best when we pay careful attention to his teachings, which come to us in the form of triggering of our previous wounding. There are places inside all of us that need to be recognized and accepted as the first step to healing, having been left ignored and neglected in some cases since childhood. We are all, in this era of transformation, coming face to face with our fears as well as our longings, and so the message from inner realms becomes vitally important as we attempt to navigate these troubled waters.

Henry Seltzer ~ The Imminent Breakthrough Of The First Quarter Moon

Friday’s First Quarter Moon is an interesting one in that, as the moment comes of greatest tension in their square aspect, the Sun and Moon occupy the very last degree of their respective signs, for the Sun, Capricorn, and for the Moon, Aries. The Sun is thus about to break into the next Zodiacal sign of Aquarius - as in the age of; namely what we are all living through as this climactic decade unwinds.

In this quarter Moon configuration there are also, as has been the case so often recently, outer planet configurations to contend with. Jupiter is in perfect square with Chiron, which promises to allow interesting and necessarily painful situations to emerge from this moment of minor crisis in the lunation cycle. And this sense of crisis is proportional to the sense of pressure conveyed by the preceding New Moon, which was very strong, emphasizing Saturn and Uranus as well as Chiron. Jupiter still closely squares Chiron through Jupiter‘s station to direct motion on January 30th, and stays within 2 degrees to the end of March.

The energy continues to be extremely complex. Our emotional, mental, and physical bodies are heightened to a sharp degree. This is causing us to examine where we want to draw the line, take a stand, or decide how much of our energy (time, resources, love) we can devote.

We are examining where we have had enough. We are asking ourselves what we want to protect and what we want to preserve.

The exact conjunction of Venus and Pluto happens approximately one time each year for about a week all told. The conjunction affects relationships, obsessions, money, structures, systems, among other things. The exact conjunction occurs tomorrow night around 9:30 pm EDT/2:30 am UTC. So the energy will build until that time and then begin to taper off progressively.
