Oracle Report First Quarter Moon Phase – Moon in Virgo

In case you are not following on Twitter, an M-3 class solar flare was released yesterday and directed at Earth. I wrote that the energy contained in any flare that might be released would be game or life changing.

The fact that this was an M-class flare and not an X-class flare (which sunspot AR1748 had only released so far) enables us to benefit from the energy without it disrupting us technologically (in the form of taking out satellites, etc.). This is by design. The divine being embodied as the Earth has no intention to let our civilization return to “zero point” or, in other words, take us back to some version of a pre-industrial or even a semi-industrial society.

This does not mean that she will not take down certain individual technological elements that would strategically serve the betterment of the species by them being gone. She will do this over time and is, in fact, already doing it. We will continue to see more “proof” of how our co-creation with Gaia-Sophia is evolving.

Saturday’s energy favors collaborative endeavors and sharing. Anything we do will be easier and smoother if we have some help or share the responsibility to complete it. Also, if someone feels that they have been doing or giving more than their fair share or that they are being taken advantage of, it is likely to surface today.

With Monday’s Full Moon in Virgo we come to an important turning point in our journey toward greater self-knowledge and integration. This moment in the lunation cycle represents some sense of culmination in what we have been attempting in the two weeks since the New Moon of February 9th, and is accompanied by a Pisces line-up involving six planets, including the Sun. Although one of these, Venus, is not officially in Pisces until evening-time, she hovers on the very brink of entrance into the magical sign of Neptune‘s rulership. With Venus in the final degree of Aquarius, we are absorbing the lessons of detachment in relationship, the other side of the coin of merging and connecting. Venus coming into Pisces represents a different flavor of relating – we come into closer connection with spiritual purpose, and with the angel inside ourselves and in each other. This is indeed a special and a very mystical period of time. The Sun is in conjunction with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, with the Moon opposed, while Mercury completes its turn to retrograde motion in conjunction with Mars, also in Pisces, promoting inner work over outer activity.

The Full Moon also makes a T-square to Jupiter in Mercury‘s sign of Gemini, promoting an optimistic mental attitude, together with the spiritual energy for active contemplation, another chime with Pisces and Neptune. Neptune itself resides in early Pisces, near Chiron and the Sun. Mars in close conjunction with retrograde Mercury completes the sextuple of Piscean planetary energies. Then, too, since Mercury is beginning its five-week cycle of retrograde motion and the regaining of its lost zodiacal ground, returning to where it started on the weekend of February 23rd, there is a strongly meditative element expressed all through this last part of February and on into March and April. Mercury remains in Pisces until mid-April, stationing direct on March 17th and only escapes its retrograde shadow on April 6th.

The big news today is Jupiter stationing direct (appearing to move forward again in the sky). Jupiter direct is like releasing a massive slingshot that has been pulled back as far as it goes. An extreme amount of pent-up energy is released with this. Pent-up emotions are released also.

Jupiter is giant; the effects of its movements ripple through the collective in waves. If you have felt restricted or limited, you will begin to notice things loosening up. Things that have been a problem for a while will begin resolving themselves. Matangi will be working with this to increase her already-vast range of influence and effectiveness. There is a great deal of power in the air today. Where do you want to focus it?

We have crossed many thresholds and experienced many transitions, but we are still waiting for the moment when we shed the past and enter the future we have been planning. That moment is in February. We will finally begin cutting our ties to the past, and pushing through whatever barriers remain. February offers confidence and determination, a willingness to overcome resistance, even resistance in high places. But February also promises to help us maneuver obstacles and negotiate our way around barriers.

The future promises a continuing emphasis on personal transformation, often in the face of resistance. On another level, the power of governments and other large institutions will be scrutinized and their power limited. Power will continue to flow to main street and the grassroots.

Oracle Report | Third Quarter Moon Phase – Moon in Virgo

In some significant way, a change is preparing to take place for each of us. Today involves a “practice run” with this, so events will foreshadow it.

To prepare, we will need to clean out some of our old habits or routines. Air out these things and see if they measure up in the light of day. If not, they need to be discarded. If it is outworn (especially if it is something that keeps coming up time and again, like you are on a circular path that goes nowhere), today is the day to deal with it and do it a different way. Painful memories may be brought up. If so, we will also have to deal with these. This energy is going very deep to clean up and transform. Facilitate the process by taking deep breaths.

Oracle Report | First Quarter Moon Phase – Moon in Aquarius

When the Sun entered Scorpio today, it launched an X1 class flare.

This is spectacular! It’s a statement. The Sun is an ally of the Earth (Gaia/Sophia) and made the decision long ago to assist in her divine experiment. The Sun is going to join in purging darkness during its journey through Scorpio over the next 30 days. It is going to help open new doors and opportunities by taking the past very, very far away in our perception of things. So if there is anything you want to let go of, tell the Sun today.

When the Sun moves into Sagittarius in late November, the world is going to look very different than it does right now. There will be power plays for sure over the next month and the potential for war and ugliness is definitely higher. But the message is clear: it is all going to be ok no matter what because the Sun is on board. By the way, the Sun sending this flare when it hit 00 Scorpio, the degree where we had our group meditation when Saturn hit the same degree, adds immeasurable power to the intention we set in place at that time to stand the ground. It is kind of like we were the first wave of intention and now the Sun has backed us up or reinforced us. A really, really nice surprise. We should give thanks.

The energy is quite unique – elegant, regal, and aristocratic (in the highest sense of the word, not the elitist sense). We are securely wrapped in the arms of the goddess today and she is engendering a “knowingness.” You can easily feel this today if you open to it.

Today is the last day of the New Moon phase and Gaia/Sophia has been closeby. In order to fully experience the bounty of the deepening connection with her this month, it is important to intend the stronger connection now, during the New Moon phase. This is a time of extreme chaos and stress for so many. What can you strip away that will bring you more peace and clarity? Cutting out background noise is a great start. Combining errands, so you have more time to unwind. Leaving space for integrating — walking in nature, simply being, resting, exercising, purifying in the bath.

This is a great New Moon to commit mind, body and soul to your healthiest life. Virgo is a physically sensitive sign, and less is more.

Virgo turns cleaning into a daily ritual. That makes this New Moon a good one to open the windows, and sweep out the old cobwebby energies. It’s a way to move the energies trapped in the corners of a room, or under the bed (dust bunnies).

Many cultures and magical traditions use sweeping, to prepare for ritual. It clears the physical space, and also the energetic space. Sweeping and other random acts of cleaning are satisfying now, to clear out the old, and make room for the new. It leads to clarity.

My Take: It’s a big window for healing, especially for those overwhelmed, feeling anxious and at your wit’s end. There’s a mercurial flavor to the New Moon, with Mercury in a stellium, and Sun-Moon squaring (in a wide orb) Jupiter in Mercury’s own sign Gemini.

This is a fresh start portal for healing an over taxed mind, and tracing its effects to the body. Working backwards, taking time to digest your experiences calms the mind, and creates morespace. Big rewards (of well-being, mental brilliance, ability to change) come from creating that spaciousness.

Being able to come down from the mania of our time is a key to thriving. This may mean facing the root causes of your anxiety or fear. As you deal with personal demons, you’re freer to make wise choices, and act spontaneously on your guidance.

Many of the aspects in this chart provoke and support a new beginning that’s more alive, wild and colorful. And this New Moon is a preparation lunation, to integrate, fill the well, and set up daily routines that will see you through any dark or chaotic times ahead.

The Virgo New Moon at 10:11 pm EDT Saturday will initiate a rapid series of new seasons for you.

There will be the beginnings you can probably anticipate now, corresponding to the monthly cycle that starts with every New Moon. The particular lunar cycle that begins this weekend, however, will also give rise to longer intervals. Those successive intervals will connect the central certainties of personal life to those of public life, then take you past edge of living memory, beyond previous experience, where a new season awaits us all together at once, for each of us to turn.

One certainty of life is the lunation cycle, from New Moon to Full Moon and back again. The lunar periodicity frequently corresponds to personal changes and inner weather. The solar certitudes, however, evince on the public and collective level in the light of day.

The Sun is the light of day. That is the surest, simplest and most central certainty of life on Earth. Also certain is the fact that, for any given place on Earth, the amount of daylight will vary in an annual cycle of the seasons that corresponds to collective changes and outer weather. The lunation cycle beginning in Virgo this weekend will contain one of the most telling moments in the cycle of seasons, when we all have the same experience of the Sun at once.

Before the Moon grows full again, the Sun will enter Libra and precipitate an equinox. On the days of equinox, the duration of daylight is equal for every earthling. The seasonal return to equal light for all at once demonstrates a perennial certainty that has been denied for thousands of years by the pernicious platitudes of patriarchy, the simple truth of equality.

The planetary focus for September features Pluto turning direct, along with the second of seven exact Uranus/Pluto squares. This combination brings power issues to the surface for dynamic change and eventually more sustainable resolution. Later in the month, a Venus/Mars square intensifies male/female polarities that can bring relationship conflicts. We are still under the August New Moon in Leo, with the themes of creativity and renewal.

An important transition occurred on August 31 when the Moon’s North Node moved from Sagittarius into Scorpio, where it will remain until February 2014. The North Node represents our path of greatest growth. This placement will enhance the Pluto themes of death/rebirth and greater transformation of unconscious patterns. Moving from fire to water means changing the focus from independent actions towards those involving more cooperation. In Scorpio we are slowing down and paying more attention to going deeper, intuition, sensitivity and emotional flow.

On September 4-5 a series of positive Mercury aspects to Pluto, Chiron and Mars make this a good time for deeper mental activity and healing through communications. A good time for writing and speaking activities occurs September 7-10, when the Sun aligns with Mercury and both square Jupiter. However, there may be something important that we are not seeing at this time. We also need to watch out for being too opinionated, inflexible and overextending ourselves.

The New Moon occurs on September 15 at 23 Virgo 37. This lunation emphasizes the Virgo qualities of being efficient, pragmatic, thorough and detail-oriented. It also aligns with Mercury (ruler of Virgo), which will bring a strong mental focus to our communications and the areas of work, health and service. On a higher level, Virgo represents the feminine Goddess energy, which is in the process of anchoring more deeply into our civilization. The Sabian Symbol and keynote for this degree is “Mary and her little lamb; the need to keep a vibrant and pure simplicity at the core of one’s being as one meets the many tests of existence.” The text goes on to describe the essential quality as one journeys on “the Path” as “a pure, spontaneous, fresh and nonviolent approach to all encounters.” This month we can more consciously practice honoring this feminine quality through our communications. A good resource for this practice is a book entitled Nonviolent Communication, by Marshall Rosenberg.
