Delving into the Secrets of Healing in Ancient Egypt

Healing – The Egyptian Way

Healing - The Egyptian WayJill Mattson – The Secrets of Healing within the ancient Egyptian society is just being brought to light!

The Egyptians used the scientifically validated process of resonance [1] in their healing work. For example, in the physician papyri a poultice of an ostrich egg helped heal a cracked skull. Notice the similarity between the shape of an ostrich egg and the skull.

Sharry Edwards, [2] who developed the science of BioAcoustics, hears sounds radiating out of 2-D shapes, with a shape consistently creating the same sound, implying that specific shapes have tiny vibrational signatures. Maybe the Egyptians were aware that shapes created subtle sounds and these sounds transferred energy through sympathetic resonance. Perhaps the Egyptians were using the subtle sounds emanating from an elliptical shape of an ostrich egg to tune the shape of a broken skull.

Richard Merrick described the later harmonics in the harmonic series as getting increasingly smaller and denser, compressing to form the round bottom of the shape of an egg. He suggested this harmonic phenomenon is how nature creates of the shape of an egg. Perhaps the 13th through 16th harmonics were sounded to heal the skull. [3]

In another example a lame person’s foot was wrapped in deerskin. Recall that deer are fast and fleet on their feet. Are the Egyptians transferring the deer’s ability to use their feet into the lame foot?

The Egyptians wore amulets for protection. The Eye of Horus amulet strengthened one’s health, whereas the scarab beetle represented continued existence. [4] The ankh, a cross with a loop on the top that represented eternal life, was not as common. It represents the male and the female polarities and sometimes represented the ear, signifying the receptivity of the mind to receive divine inspiration. In Egypt and Sumaria the words ear and mind were synonymous. [5]

The shape, color and material of an amulet influenced its subtle energy. Each material radiated its unique frequency and so did the shape and color.

Entomologist Phil Callahan demonstrated how insects and a few plants use geometric shapes to receive and transmit electromagnetic and acoustic sound waves. [6] Apparently nature uses subtle energy emitted from shapes.

Jerry Decker reported that shapes could be used like a telephone line to connect to desired subtle energy. “Shape power geometries are routinely used in the protective rings of ceremonial magic, the construction of amulets and talismans as well as the sigils (signatures) of various demonic or angelic entities. These patterns produce correspondences (resonances) to establish a contact with the desired entity or influence. By stimulating shape power geometry, you literally evoke or call forth the influence, just like making a phone call.” [7]

The labyrinth is another ancient use of energy created from shapes. The direction of the labyrinth creates specific energy. By walking the maze a person tunes into the subtle energies created by its shapes and directions. These subtle energies resonate one’s mind, emotions, thoughts and body to stimulate health and spiritual growth. These mazes were used in ancient times all over the globe: China, United States, Peru, England and other places. The nave at the Chartres Cathedral has a labyrinth inlaid in the floor.
