January 2026 Energy Report
Jennifer Hoffman – January is always a month we look forward to with anticipation and hope because it is the start of a new year and the end of a period we are usually glad to see go away. And this January is the same – with a few key differences. Yes it is the start of a new year but it is also the start of a new energy cycle, something we get every 9 years.
And it begins with a look at the past as we have all of the personal planets in Capricorn, as a silent nod to the Pluto in Capricorn years but especially 2020 when we had the infamous Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn. Have you noticed how karma and justice are coming around now? Expect more of this in 2026.
January is a 1 month and 2026 is a 1 year so we start 2026 with a 2 numerology. This is the number of pairs, partnerships, relationship, and balance. So we start the year with a call to balance and this shows up from January 1. First we have Mercury going into Capricorn where it joins the Sun, Venus, and Mars. Then on January 3 we have the first full moon of the year – in Cancer, opposite the Capricorn planets. Can you say 2008 to 2024 with Pluto in Capricorn?
I don’t think we are seeing a repeat of that time or energy. I think this is the final curtain call for that powerful Capricorn influence we had then, which we will not have again in our lifetime because Pluto won’t return to Capricorn for 248 years. That’s a relief.
But that’s just the start. On January 17 all of the personal planets, including the Moon, will be in Capricorn for a final blast from the past and then we are done with that energy. This coincides with the 3D/5D ascension integration that we have been part of for decades and more strongly in the past 5 years. And 2 days later on January 19 we have a new moon at 28 Capricorn to add to this final curtain call.
It’s good-bye to 3D density and hello to 3D/5D integration with high frequency, high vibes, and lots of light. We are stepping out of the 3D paradigm and crossing into a new multi-dimensional reality. Just remember, we are not destroying 3D so 5D can take over. We are integrating 5D into 3D systems. 3D is still our physical presence, that doesn’t change.
The January 3 full moon is a supermoon and it is in Cancer, the moon’s rulership, opposite all of the planets in Capricorn. Full moons represent culminations, with completion but not necessarily endings. Endings arrive after we recognize completion. This is why we hold on and cannot let go. We know something has ended but we are not complete.
This full moon has plenty of aspects and it creates the energy container we need to push our intentions forward for this new year, new month, and new paradigm. And this full moon, as well as the new moon on January 18, features a square from Chiron, currently in Aries. So watch out for reminders of those soul wounds, energy and emotional trauma, and issues that remind you of the past. They are coming up for completion, resolution, and release.
The new moon of January 18 is really interesting because not only does it feature all of the personal planets in Capricorn, but Venus is conjunct Pluto in Aquarius. Now if you remember, a few years ago I wrote that the first planet to conjunct Pluto when it entered Capricorn in 2008 was Venus. And the last planet Pluto made a conjunction to when it left Capricorn in late 2024 was Venus. Now the first new moon of 2026 and a concentration of Capricorn plants, with Pluto in Aquarius, has a Venus/Pluto conjunction. This is not history repeating itself as much as it is a final winding down of some very tough aspects as we move into this new paradigm that begins in 2026.
And we have another big aspect on January 26 as Neptune enters Aries where it will stay until 2039. This means we will have an Alpha Omega portal for the next 13 years as Neptune rules Pisces, the 12th sign, and it is in Aries, the first sign. This represents spiritual integration, intentional alignment, and our new paradigm of 3D/5D integration as a life path.
It has always been our soul mission to arrive at this level of spiritual/material integration but we were too focused on saving ascension, saving our karma groups, and saving the planet that we forgot to save ourselves from karma overreach, the Martyred Healer paradigm, and believing that giving our power away was more important than our own ascension path.
January’s theme is completion – before new starts, before intentions and resolutions, before we promise ourselves ‘never again’ to people and situations who waste our time, take advantage of us, who use our energy, and want us to save and rescue them. Although we want to move forward and leave the past behind, we are trying to run away from challenges and difficulties, before we are complete.
Give yourself completion this month, so you are clear on the path forward and what you have intentionally decided you can no longer serve, or no longer serves you.
January is always a month for new beginnings and this month we have a new beginning that is wrapped up in a new paradigm. Avoid letting your desire for something else or something new let you ignore the foundation work that should be done first. The good news is, you only have to do it once. The bad news is, if you ignore it now you will have to come back to it at a later point in time.
For those of you, like me, who do home remodeling and repairs, you know that as much as you want to open the paint can and start painting, the preparation work has to be done first. Holes filled, walls cleaned, tape applied, and floors covered. You can ignore that but you’ll spend a lot more time cleaning up and making repairs later.
I do believe this will be a great year. I am already feeling the lighter energy and the effects of this new paradigm. While that is exciting, it is also a time for some restraint. Planning and preparation go a long way to ensuring success. And focus on the present too, one step at a time is how every journey is completed.
The strong Capricorn focus in January reminds us that spiritual discipline, attention to detail, and consideration of our needs are key factors for long term results. Keep your eye on the road, your hands on the wheel, and your focus on the light.
