The theme for August is “Time For A New Story”
Lena Stevens – All of us have a story. Parts of our story we are inspired by and wish to carry on into the next chapter of our lives. And parts of our story we are tired of and so done with and wish to move on from but something keeps us engaged, attached and unable to let go.
Sometimes this is a need to be right or a need to get back something we feel is still owed to us. We hold ourselves and others in debt by perpetuating the old story and anchoring it even deeper rather than doing whatever we can to release, let go, forgive and make room for a new one.
August brings 2 eclipses that will support this process in unexpected ways. You may find yourself with some doors closing, urging you to take notice and to be proactive on where to go next. When one door closes another will surely open but it requires trust to step through that door into a new landscape that could become the foundation for your new story.
It is important to reflect on what is holding you back. Is it unfinished business? Are you holding yourself or someone else in debt around a past issue? Are you trapped in your own fear of the unknown making it difficult to consider anything new? Are you still attached to an old dream that has not manifested as you hoped it would?
The new story needs to come from the heart and not the head. And, it needs to begin to manifest from the present, not the past and not the future. The power is in the present as well as your own authority for your life. So practice being present where fear, anxiety, regret, shame, and obsessive thinking are all less likely to exist. Your authenticity and self-expression should be the guiding energy for your new creative intentions.
Once you make a choice and commit to making a change, you will likely be tested and the tests may come from others that have a resistance to you changing. Beware around the projections of others that do not want things to change. And, be aware of your own resistance to the change you may witness around you. Practice setting good boundaries, staying in your own lane and protecting your clarity and truth.
If not now, when? There is an aspect to this month that is pushing us to get off the ambivalence platform and be proactive around movement and progress. What have you been “meaning to do” forever? Either do it or not but make a clear decision. This includes the release of something as well as the reaching out to bring in something new.

This is a month of self-reflection and truth telling. What are the parts of your old story that you are truly done with? Do you have the courage to let go and make changes? Are you willing to put up with the stagnation of the story just to be right? How is that old story working for you? Find humor in the answers and ask for support in making the changes you know you need to make.
The eclipse cycle this month can bring in drama and intensity that you can either use wisely or get caught in the potentially negative aspects. There is a tremendous amount of personal growth and maturity possible this month but you will have to be disciplined and find the courage to follow your heart.
It may be bittersweet as you see the truth around certain relationships that are no longer aligned and have to release an old dream. Just remember that when one door closes another will open up inviting you to step through and explore something new.
