Energy Moves Shifts and Paradigms

Jennifer Hoffman – If you have been following me since my first newsletter publication, in February 2004, you will know that I always wrote something about the energy movements. Mainly because at that time, in those early years, they were so strong and so difficult that big shifts would make me ill. I would feel the headache coming on before they started and it lasted 2 or 3 days. I would be so tired I could barely function, then a day or two later I would be fine.

I would feel nauseous and be without an appetite one day, while eating all of the chocolate in the house the next day. And aside from using magnesium to get rid of my night-time leg cramps, I also noticed that magnesium helped with the energy shift symptoms, making them less difficult, something I have shared with you often.

We have navigated over 22 years of energy shifts and while they have gotten less troublesome, they are still difficult and can be very challenging. Last week was a good example. I noted on Tuesday that the energy was particularly difficult and I was taking at least one 2 hour coma nap a day. Many of you on my facebook page agreed with me and some of you said you were taking 2 or 3 coma naps a day. That tough energy continued for several days, through the weekend. Now things feel lighter and will stay that way until the next time.

Karen Bishop described ascension symptoms, a list of ways in which we responded to energy shifts on a variety of physical, emotional, and energetic levels. I have called our fatigue and exhaustion ‘ascension fatigue’ where we cannot process any more energy and we just shut down. That is where the coma naps come in. They are a way for our body to continue to process energy while we’re in a deep sleep (I call them coma naps for that reason) and they help our physical and energy bodies rest and re-set after big energy movements.

But why are some of the energy downloads so much harder to deal with? That is the answer I got this weekend. I was wondering why, after 20+ years of dealing with energy shifts and being an energy empath all my life, I still had trouble with processing energy. While it was not as tough as it was in 2003, there were times when it wasn’t easy. And I was taking 2+ hour naps nearly every day last week, and not sleeping well at night.

Here is what my guides told me. All energy movements are not the same. We do receive energy that responds to our shifts in frequency and vibration, depending on the frequency levels of our individual and collective energy fields. Some energy downloads come in to fill energy gaps, others come in to shift the frequency, others come in to respond to increased needs, and still others come in to integrate more light into the darkness. And the really big ones come in to create paradigm shifts that facilitate the 3D/5Dascension integration.

There is a methodology and a pattern to energy downloads and if you understand all the different ways that energy comes to us, you will realize that there is a continuous feedback loop happening between each of us, the collective, the Earth, all of the energy fields, and the Universe. And there’s one more point – the intensity and nature of the energy we receive depends on whether we are dealing with a paradigm shift or a download, or both.

With a download energy comes in to respond to whatever it has been asked to do. We do send out a request, via an intention, or a conscious or unconscious word or thought (that’s why using high vibes words is so important), even if we are not aware of it. Energy comes from the undifferentiated morphogenic field, that vast sea of energy that we are surrounded by. Until there is a need or purpose for it to fulfill an intention, it is out there in the ethers, waiting to be called upon.

As soon as we set an intention for something, consciously or unconsciously (listen to the podcast for my story of how I created jury duty for myself) individually or collectively, the undifferentiated energy becomes differentiated and adjusts its frequency and vibration to respond to the call. This is what we feel as energy downloads and while they appear to be unanticipated and arrive randomly, in truth we asked for it. Energy just responds, it does not initiate.

Then there are those strong energy shifts that we feel on all levels. These make us feel like we have been hit by a ton of bricks. We are tired, unmotivated, it’s hard to think or function. This is the result of a paradigm shift into 5D, a massive change in the entire structure of our energetic reality that is powered by energy downloads and this is where it gets interesting.

Sometimes the paradigm shift comes before the energy downloads, a cooperation between the universe, the undifferentiated morphogenic energy field, the earth’s grid and the collective energy of our higher selves who agree that it’s time for a bigger movement into 5D, whether we are ready for it or not. These are the powerful energy shifts that reveal the true nature of 3D, that come with massive shifts in belief and perception, in how we perceive the world and our relationship with it and with each other.

These paradigm shifts can occur with what I have always referred to as ‘compassion vortexes’, events that are so tragic or attention getting that they bring the world together for a brief period – and that’s especially true now with the internet and social media making everything a global sensation. We saw that this past weekend with the Andy Byron/Kristin Cabot Coldplay concert affair reveal. The entire internet talked about it and the video has close to 100 million views.

Compassion vortexes bring humanity together with a shared frequency and vibration and it’s an opportunity for the Universe to douse all of us with energy and everyone is going to receive it. Like an energy buffet that everyone gets something from. It is quite extraordinary if you think about it because we all report the same symptoms of these orchestrated paradigm shifts, not just the people who are aware of energy and how it can affect them.

Then there are the paradigm shifts that occur after the energy downloads, which are more predictable, more tolerable, and impact some people and not others. The ones who receive energy downloads are responsible for the paradigm shift because they open the portals for the energy to enter. They do so when they need to make changes in their own lives and they receive the necessary energy downloads and more. The transformation they need is a reflection of a larger clarion call for the collective – they set the parameters for the paradigm shift and the energy comes flowing in.

Have you noticed that you are often up most of the night during times of big energy downloads. You’re ‘nightlighting’, holding light in the dark, a term I created over 15 years ago. The energy you receive is far more than you need but that’s the point. Energy must be downloaded and processed by someone who can receive that level of frequency and vibration. It’s a Source contract that we committed to many lifetimes ago. The difference is that now, in this lifetime, we are finally able to do the work successfully. And the people who do it are the Portal Keepers.

Portal Keepers are the pioneers and the way showers, the light beacons who have been on missions of light for many lifetimes and they are the ones who are responsible for receiving energy downloads especially at times and in places where there is no one to take up that task. You have done this for lifetimes and I am happy to say that with this latest assignment, which most of the Portal Keepers are completing now, you won’t have to do this any more. There are enough people now who can receive energy and spread the light that your singular presence is no longer necessary. And your karma group has made their choice, you do not have to be a source of light they have decided to reject any longer. I think that’s a relief, do you?

With the increased awareness in energy and frequency and vibration, the collective paradigm is able to receive energy without the need for energy moderators, which is what Portal Keepers and energy workers are. We moderate downloads, accepting to be energy receivers so we can transmute frequencies into levels others can receive and integrate.

Here is one way this works in your personal life. You have always been someone who is attracted to people who need help and healing, who have life challenges, who need support. And you give it, often without receiving anything in return, including gratitude. When they are finished with you they leave. Or they just take what you have to give and reject you on every other level. One day you decide that this is enough, you are finished with this and you decide to establish strong energy boundaries to protect your energy.

The people in your life have a variety of reactions: they attack you for being mean and selfish, they walk out of your life and blame you because ‘you are different’, they abandon you and openly get into other relationships to show you that they don’t need you and don’t care, or they can appreciate the new light and join you in the new 5D paradigm. This happens rarely but it is possible.

We need to start seeing ourselves as energetic beings manifesting a physical reality experience instead of seeing energy as something outside of our reality that occasionally intrudes on our lives just to make us feel tired, wired, and mess with our sleep patterns. We are going through a profound paradigm shift that is rewiring our realities, recalibrating our energy connections, and restoring us to an integrated reality where there is a congruent flow between reality and intention, between energy and matter, and between human and spirit.

This is the age of divinity, the 3D/5D ascension integration, the restoration of our divine blueprint to its full expression of heaven on earth but in congruent harmony with the earth’s ascension into 5D. We are not the single light shining in the darkness and suffering because of it any more. We are part of a much greater 5D integration that is possible because of our lifetimes of effort.

The paradigm shifts into 5D are part of it, so are the energy shifts and downloads, the movements and inflows and outflows. It is all part of one big dance of ascension, and we’re on the dance floor. Now we have to remember how to dance to the energy flows and to dance in step with our universal dance partner.

One more thing, even though I wrote this article a day ago, I heard the news on July 22, 2025, that the founder of the heavy metal band, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, also known as the Prince of Darkness, has died.

This is significant because July 22 is also the day the Sun entered Leo, its home sign. This is the sun’s birthday, the solar return, our life force, our source of light. For the ‘Prince of Darkness’ to die just before the Sun entered its home sign is more than coincidence, it’s the kind of synchronicity that only the Universe can accomplish.

The Sun entering Leo is the Sun returning to its throne. It’s the Solar Return of the Sun itself—life-giving force, illumination, truth, power, visibility, creativity, and divine authority. It’s the most “light-bearing” moment of the solar year. In astrology, Leo is associated with royalty, courage, the heart, and the authentic self.

Ozzy Osbourne, the self-styled Prince of Darkness, represents rebellion, shadow, chaos, and subversion of norms—he’s a cultural archetype of the underworld energy in many ways. His persona was about pushing limits, the glamorization of drugs, confronting taboos, and pushing limits beyond norms of what was acceptable behavior.

I was never a fan of his music, heavy metal has never been my ‘thing’.

But on the day the Sun reclaims its full power, the Prince of Darkness exits the stage.

That’s not just a coincidence—it’s cosmic theatre. A true synchronicity that only the Universe could achieve. And it is a big move forward in light of the paradigm shift we are entering now (pun intended).

In terms of the current paradigm shift, this is a potent symbolic turning point:

♦ A death of the shadow archetype that once captivated the collective.
♦ The end of glamorizing darkness and chaos for entertainment.
♦ A restoration of solar (soular) consciousness—truth, light, vitality, and rightful energetic frequency.

We’re seeing the fall of false idols, corrupted icons, and glamorized dysfunction. What rises in its place? That’s the bigger question—but this synchronicity definitely feels like a marker in time. And on another level, was he holding dark energy escrow (this is explained in the Portal Keeper Program) and he let it go just in time for the Sun’s entry into Leo?

What do you think? While the time of death was not specified, it was morning UK time which would have been sometime during the early morning US time, well before the Sun entered Leo at 9:30AM US EST.

As I said before, a new paradigm is here and with the Sun’s birthday and an upcoming new moon in early Leo, opposite Pluto in Aquarius- the first Leo new moon to aspect Pluto since it entered Aquarius in November 2024, we are getting quite a powerful start. The previous first new moon with Pluto in Aquarius happened in 1778 – the previous Age of Enlightenment.

Who is ready for a new paradigm of joy? The 5D dimensional uplevel is pushing forward, sometimes moving things out of the way, often pointing to what we need to clear up, clean out, release, or re-vibe to bring it in.
