Rewind and Recalibrate – Nov 17-24, 2024
Lorna Bevan – This is another big week as Pluto enters Aquarius on November 19th; the Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st; Neptune exactly squares the Galactic Centre on the 22nd; Mars is at Max in his retrograde shadow and Mercury stations retrograde in Sagittarius on the 24th until December 15th. Any big plans, moves and decisions will have to be rewound, rethought and revisited several times between now and next February 2025.
Pluto into Aquarius November 19 2024-2044
The Evolution of Society and Technology
Pluto takes roughly 248 years to transit the zodiac and has been in Capricorn since 2008 – delivering the financial crash at the start and exiting following the 2020 Saturn/Pluto conjunction, the continuing fractures and unintended consequences of the global lockdown and the second Trump presidency.
In an elemental shift from Earth to Air, from November 19th, Pluto will transit Aquarius until 2044. It promises to be a challenging and revolutionary time that will turn society upside down. Frame these years as the Evolution of Society and Technology.
As the Great Eliminator, the Plutonic modus operandi is a relentless search for Transformation and Truth, operating under the radar amongst the collective shadow, mass movements, the will to power and the underworld. Burning away the dross of whatever is outgrown or corrupt, regeneration comes through the destruction of old forms that have outlived their time.
Air sign Aquarius operates on the 5th Ray of concrete knowledge, science and technology and rules electricity – the energy that powers your devices and your more subtle magnetic field. The wavy lines glyph of Aquarius symbolises the blood of life and electrical plasma.
Caveat: the Aquarian vibe has been idealised and misrepresented by rose-tinted New Age projections. Yes, it awakens the urge to reform society by introducing new ideas and working together to create greater freedom, away from top-down structures to a more collective, grassroots energy. Yet it isn’t as objective as it thinks it is and often gets caught in group think, fanaticism and cancellation.
Despite proclaiming its love of humanity, it operates on theoretical rules/principles and has serious issues with messy human stuff like feelings.

This passage gives you the gift of influence, whether you choose it or not. Focus on leaving any inauthentic roles behind and building a worthwhile legacy.
♊ Gemini
Gradually, Pluto in compatible fellow Air sign Aquarius will make you question long-held beliefs by exposing you to encounters with people who are very different from you. Your old inner map of the world will be updated several times over as you are drawn to deeper study or travel to new places. Instead of busily collecting information to pass on, focus on taking the time to distil what you’ve learned into true wisdom.
♋ Cancer
Finally, change agent extraordinaire Pluto leaves your relationship zone and begins to activate your deep 8th House. It may feel as if you’re in continuous therapy, as issues around vulnerability, control and intimacy arise for healing. Any new partnerships will be powerfully transformative, as they constellate some of your old self-protective beliefs around sharing and finances.
♌ Leo
Your closest relationships are in the frame from now on, as Pluto begins his trip through your opposite sign of Aquarius. Situations will arise that nudge you to shift from seeing others solely from your own perspective to being able to develop a more genuine shared vision. The purpose is to move you from Me First to I/Thou- a win/win dynamic.
♍ Virgo
The long transit of Pluto through Aquarius should resonate with you as a solar Virgoan, since it will gradually bring about a wholesale recalibration of your approach to work and wellness, encouraging you to adopt routines that support deep, lasting well-being. This will go hand in hand with updating your work routines, platforms and technology so that they better support your changing personal needs.
♎ Libra
After 15 long years of Pluto transforming your roots, your home and your family bonds, welcome his move into fellow Air sign Aquarius and your 5th House, when the emphasis will be on discovering/uncovering a deep wellspring of creativity and self-expression bursting to be tapped. Over and over again, you’ll find changing circumstances nudging you to shed superficial pursuits and find your authentic passions and path.
♏ Scorpio
Whichever life stage you’re currently in, Pluto’s journey through Aquarius -the root of your solar chart – could radically change what you want and need from your life at home and within your family and extended tribe. This is no one step, one- off event but a gradual process of uncovering old wounds around belonging /unbelonging so that you can begin to create a sanctuary that is a sheltering base camp.
♐ Sagittarius
After 15 years of transforming your management of money and resources, Pluto moves into your Aquarian 3rd House. As circumstances constantly shift around you, you’ll need to keep updating your mental circuitry and your communication skills. The way forward is to collaborate freely with others-at work and at home-to turn your bright ideas into a better reality for everyone. Start by updating all your platforms and mastering new technology.
♑ Capricorn
Since 2008, Pluto in your own sign has transformed you from the inside out and in the process made you much stronger and more resilient. Now that the Great Eliminator has moved into your 2nd House, that will stand you in good stead as circumstances nudge you to look at old issues around self-worth. Are any traces of so-called imposter syndrome preventing you from charging what you’re worth and keeping you small?
♒ Aquarius
Just think how much your life has changed in the last 15 years of Pluto transforming Capricorn and your 12th House of karmic legacy. Circumstances outside your control have radically shifted your most limiting inherited beliefs and your black and white view of how things should be.
Now, as Pluto enters your 1st House and puts you back in the driver’s seat, the challenge will be to turn what you’ve learned into relevant applicable resources for yourself and others. How you do this doesn’t matter-you don’t need to step into the spotlight if you prefer working behind the scenes-as long as you bring back the treasure you’ve excavated through grace and grit
♓ Pisces
As a solar Piscean, Pluto’s arrival in your Aquarian 12th House coincides with 2025’s wild card eclipses in your own sign, bringing a double whammy of transformation. Luckily, Pluto works gradually, giving you time to adjust. Your 12th House is the engine room of your chart-a repository of your unconscious drives and defenses, your faded dreams and your ancestral heritage.
This extended passage is a wonderful opportunity for healing, processing and closure of material that is no longer relevant, so that you emerge as the creative visionary you are.

“Taking a good look at things brings you right into the middle of the dilemma of polarities. As you stand there faced with the different sides, you are impartial; neither side pulls you more sharply than the other.
Immense opportunity. Huge challenge. You have vital potential for brilliant synthesis, but a subtle temptation to think too long. A schooling in alchemy in every moment–do you find what is ready to emerge or do you think about it?
Progressive evolution draws you through all your mistakes into all that can be.” Inside Degrees Elias Lonsdale
