Midsummer’s Eve is simply magical with its Stories of changelings, the opening and crossing of the fairy realms, of fires burning on the moors keeping the spirits at bay. These fairy stories have spread around the world each interlacing into the hearts of traditions that span time and geography.

The name ‘Midsummer’ is old English and refers to the time around the summer solstice. Astronomically, the summer solstice falls yearly on June 20, 21 or 22, but traditionally, the midsummer was reckoned on the night of June 23–24. With roots in pagan times, Midsummer is a celebration close to the longest day of the year; it is a celebration of life and love, bounty and plenty. The celebration involves a lot of dance, food and flowers.
