Next Crash Worse than 1929 & 2008 Combined [Video]

pentoGreg Hunter – Money manager Michael Pento says the next crash will be one for the record books. Pento contends, “If you look at any of the economic data coming out, it screams recession. It will be one of the worst recessions since 2008 and 1929—combined.” This is a description of a global depression. Pento contends, “Unfortunately, I think that’s exactly where we are headed. It’s not my opinion. It’s not a Cassandra. It’s not my view. It’s the entire view of all global markets. China is 45% down. There’s a bear market in Europe. There’s a bear market in Japan. There is a bear market in most of the United States.”

Why is it going to be so historically bad this time around? Pento says, “In prior recessions, the Federal Reserve was allowed to lower the borrowing costs significantly and dramatically.

What You Can Learn From Living Alone

aloneDivyanshi Chugh – Living alone will be an experience, and a special one at that. It can lead you to the remarkable realisation that just being alive is a grand thing (Christie, 1977). It can help you recognize the joy of existence. Staying alone will leave you with adequate space and time to do a lot of cleaning up, inside and outside, and harmonize all parts of you to your highest being.

As you live alone, there will be no do’s or don’ts. But I wish to share a few things which you might find useful in living alone to be able to find your true self. If, dear reader, you do not like them, please feel free to discard.

Firstly, feel free to make mistakes and learn from them. From the moment we are born, we are taught how to be and what to say, what is ‘normal’ and what is not. Now, even when we are alone, these so-called teachings hang around in our subconscious self. Being alone is a way of letting go of all of that. It is a way of unlearning these external programs.

Secondly, the small little creature in you is but human and is likely to feel lonely, which can be disheartening. Sometimes you might not even realise that loneliness is the issue. The most immediate “cure” for loneliness is making efforts to hang around with people, but I would say this is a quick fix, which takes you away from the real deal. It is important to stay with yourself to discover your depths. Continue reading

Massive food inflation strikes Canada

Consumers are paying $8 for a head of cauliflower, $3 for a single cucumber

foodDaniel Barker – Due to a “perfect storm” of inflationary factors – not the least of which being the continuing drop in oil prices – Canadians are seeing the effects of a weakening currency reflected in food prices at the supermarket.

$3 cucumbers, $8 for a head of cauliflower, grapes at $10 per bag – the spiraling cost of foods, particularly those imported from Canada’s neighbor to the south, has consumers there reeling from sticker shock.

Social media platforms have been inundated lately with complaints about the rising food costs, and the offset in low prices at the gas pump has not been enough to make up the difference for Canadians who are now paying more for almost all imported goods.

It’s one thing having to forego buying a new iPhone or other luxury items, but not being able to afford the foods one is accustomed to is particularly frustrating for the average consumer.

So what’s behind the collapse of the Canadian dollar?

Today’s dynamics have us taking stock of things, seeing what is not working, and then re-vamping or overhauling them. We find new ways to do things. The bigger picture becomes more evident, and so does what we truly value. Continue reading

Research Reveals Plants Can Think, Choose and Remember

plantsSayer Ji – Modern science is only beginning to catch up to the wisdom of the ancients: plants possess sentience and a rudimentary form of intelligence.

Plants are far more intelligent and capable than we have given them credit for. In fact, provocative research from 2010 published in Plant Signaling & Behavior proposes that since they cannot escape environmental stresses in the manner of animals, they have developed a “sophisticated, highly responsive and dynamic physiology,” which includes information processes such as “biological quantum computing” and “cellular light memory” which could be described as forms of plant intelligence.

Titled, “Secret life of plants: from memory to intelligence,” the study highlights one particular “super power” of plants indicative of their success as intelligent beings: “There are living trees that germinated long before Jesus Christ was born. What sort of life wisdom evolved in plants to make it possible to survive and propagate for so long a time in the same place they germinated?”

According to the researchers, plants “plants actually work as a biological quantum computing device that is capable to process quantum information encrypted in light intensity and in its energy.” This information processing includes a mechanism for processing memorized information. For example: “Plants can store and use information from the spectral composition of light for several days or more to anticipate changes that might appear in the near future in the environment, for example, for anticipation of pathogen attack.”

According to the study, “plants can actually think and remember.” Continue reading
