Eight-Year-Old Girl Saves Toddler from Drowning [Video]

awardAmy Furr – An eight-year-old Florida girl who saved a toddler’s life was recently given the Orange County Sheriff’s Office’s (OCSO) Citizen of the Year Award.

Arianna Hunter was in Orlando for a cheerleading competition when the incident occurred in 2019, according to Fox 35.

She was in a float playing in the hotel pool when she spotted a child face down in the water.

“I saw that there were bubbles by her mouth and I noticed that she wasn’t moving at all,” she recalled.

Although she did not know how to swim at the time and was not taught what to do during an emergency such as that one, Arianna took action. Continue reading
