Sayer Ji ~ 7 Simple Ways To Unclog Your Arteries Naturally

Atherosclerosis involves autoimmunity, infection, and dietary issues, and is entirely preventable, even reversible, despite conventional medical opinion.

atherosclerosis We all want to live a long life, but did you know eating these simple foods has been proven scientifically to prevent and in some cases reverse the #1 cause of death in the modern world?

Statistically, atherosclerosis (the progressive clogging of the arteries) is the #1 killer on the planet. A complex process – involving autoimmunity, infection, dietary incompatibilities, and many known and unknown factors – it is entirely preventable, and in some cases reversible, despite conventional medical opinion.

Here is the peer-reviewed, published research proving the fact.

Unclog Your Arteries Naturally

B Vitamins

Yes, something as simple as adding a source of B-complex to your regimen can prevent the juggernaut of heart disease from taking your life prematurely. A doubled-blind, randomized study, published in 2005, in the journal Atherosclerosis found that a simple intervention using 2.5 mg folic acid, 25 mg Vitamin B6, and 0.5mg Vitamin B12 for 1 year, resulted in significant reductions in arterial thickness (as measured by intima media thickeness) [1]. Even niacin [2][3] or folic acid [4][5] alone has been show to have this effect in patients.

[Note: Always opt for natural sources of the B-group vitamins, including probiotic supplementation (which produce the entire complement for you), or a whole food extract, versus synthetic or semi-synthetic vitamins which, sadly, predominate on the market today]. Continue reading

The One Superfruit That Significantly Cleans Your Arteries

NaturalSociety  November 6 2013

If you have never experienced the deliciousness of pomegranates, make it a goal to taste one this fall. These beautiful and tricky-to-eat fruits are loaded with benefits. Perhaps one of the most researched of these benefits is the ability of pomegranates to keep your blood vessels free from plaque, the fatty accumulations that can eventually lead to atherosclerosis and heart attacks.

In one of the more recent studies of its kind, mice predisposed to coronary artery blockages were given pomegranate extract in their drinking water for two weeks. Oddly, the pomegranate extract resulted in increased cholesterol levels (which, if you read some of our previous articles on the cholesterol myth, isn’t necessarily a bad thing). But even with the cholesterol increase, the treatment reduced the size of arterial accumulations, essentially scrubbing it from the arterial walls.

Published in the journal Atherosclerosisthe researchers said:

“Pomegranate extract reduced aortic sinus and coronary artery atherosclerosis in SR-BI/apoE dKO mice. The atheroprotective effects of pomegranate extract appear to involve reduced oxidative stress and inflammation in the vessel wall despite unaltered systemic markers of inflammation and increased lipoprotein cholesterol in these mice.”
