Amanda Harden – Bill Owens, the longtime executive producer of the CBS show “60 Minutes,” has officially stepped down from the role, saying he no longer felt he had full editorial control over the program.
Owens has been with CBS since he started as a summer intern in 1988 and was in charge of “60 Minutes” since 2019. Now with his resignation, the TV exec says the job has changed to the point where he can no longer do it the way he wants to. Continue reading

Rachel M. Emmanuel – In a stunning testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, award-winning former CBS News investigative reporter Catherine Herridge accused the network of seizing hundreds of pages of her confidential reporting files, including information on sources, after terminating her employment in a move Herridge referred to as “journalistic rape.”
The testimony was part of a hearing by The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government titled “Fighting for a Free Press: Protecting Journalists and their Sources.”

The Horn News – The investigation into President Joe Biden’s family seems to be heating up — and even the mainstream media says it looks very bad.
According to CBS News, over 150 banking transactions by the president’s son and brother were flagged as “concerning” by financial institutions.
“CBS News has learned that more than 150 transactions involving either Hunter or James Biden’s global business affairs were flagged as concerning by U.S. banks for further review,” the news organization reported Wednesday. “Some of those concerns included large wire transfers.” Continue reading
