Progressive Privilege

CongressMichael IngmireTom Petty wrote in the song, “The Last DJ,” the following line that reads in part: “As we celebrate mediocrity…”

Petty was writing about the death of real American radio. However, the celebration of mediocrity is inherent in the gaping holes in our current popular and political culture.

Never have so many been lauded for accomplishing so little. Never before have the most selfish felt themselves to be the most entitled, whether it be for money, fame or power. They straddle their own egos in the path of making love to the individual that they feel to be the most deserving, themselves. Continue reading

Are the Democrats Advantaging the Republicans for 2020?

democratsKevin Mitchell – Things do not seem to bode well for Democrats in 2020.

The Democrats have assumed much political risk with their policy proposals and tactics. For example, I am a registered Independent who has voted for Democrats, including Kerry and Obama. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never vote for a Democrat again because the party is now largely anathema to all I believe in. I am certain that I am not alone in that determination and that cannot possibly bode well for the Democrat party in the next election cycle.

One thing that seems to be unprecedented — perhaps going back to the American Civil War — is the dramatically wider range of citizens who over the past few years are paying extra close attention to national politics, debating each other, reading up on the issues and watching the amazing intolerance of the far left. For example, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez intends to primary any Democrat who votes with Republicans.

There Still Ain’t No Joy in Mudville

americansSusan Stanton – Over the past decade or more, we have been listening to blowhard elites who ballyhoo and bellow over various political topics while demonstrating abject disrespect for the majority of Americans.  Lately, it’s become fashionable to resist immigration laws, support late-term or after-birth abortion (murder), and champion victim hoaxes while staging attempted coups against our president.  Insanity reigns.

Former vice president Al Gore set the current political stage when he began hyping global warming.  This dishonest agenda was designed to exert control over an increasingly ignorant and naïve populace.  Over the years, his acolytes have used cultism embedded in pseudo-science to drive a wedge between Americans.

Control of the Populace

Gold Rising Because it Protects Against Government

ArmstrongGreg Hunter – Legendary geopolitical and financial analyst Martin Armstrong continues to be bullish on America. Armstrong contends, “The U.S. economy has been the only thing holding up the world. People do not realize what is the difference between the U.S. vs. the rest of the world? China respects it, and they are starting to move in the proper direction. . . . The United States has the biggest consumer market, which is why everybody wants to sell here. China now realizes the mistake. China is going to turn inward and try and develop its own consumer market.”

Things are not looking good for the long term viability of the euro. Armstrong says, “Because Europe is a basket case, the likelihood of the euro going to completely fall apart is actually quite high. What did the euro do? It basically replaced 28 currencies. So, the diversity has been shot.” Continue reading

Congress Should Worry More About What Happens After We Build the Wall

wallMark Patricks – A couple of weeks ago we would have given optimistic 51/49 odds that President Trump is getting the wall built. The media, the Democrats and Congress still haven’t figured out that for those of us on America’s side, it’s really not about Trump. If Trump fails to deliver on the wall, that will be really sad… because next time we will elect Hitler if that’s what it takes to save our country from the foreign invading hordes.

Today, the wall is a done deal. It’s getting built. Pelosi and Schumer own the shutdown and even Cher is begging for relief and telling them to give Trump the money. What Congress really needs to worry about at this point is what happens after we get the wall.

First, there’s been a lot of stupidity on the airwaves when it comes to what President Trump has authority to do if he declares a national emergency. No one was worse at this than Never-Trump Judge Napolitano on Fox News. Napolitano stated that in his analysis of the law, Trump can’t spend funds on the wall in the event of a national emergency unless Congress has appropriated the funds for the wall. Continue reading
