How Humanity Has Enslaved Itself

Andrew Barker – Most people won’t believe they are enslaved, though some believe they are enslaved by the ruling elite. But when we look deeper into this predicament, we may be able to see that we are in fact enslaved or trapped by our own minds.

Man is a slave. He is not born as a slave, he is born free. He is born as freedom, but he is found in chains everywhere. He lives in chains, he dies in chains. This is the greatest calamity that has happened to humanity. – Osho

feelingFeeling vs. Expression

We have a feeling, and then there is the expression of that feeling. The feeling is the intent, the motivation, the driving force. The expression is the action we take to express this feeling. This operates throughout life in everything we do. But conflict and suffering arise when the expression does not match the feeling – and I believe this is the predicament of most of humanity.

For example, an artist has a strong feeling about something, which is authentic; she expresses it on canvas. This expression pleases some people and they buy her work; she gains money and reputation. Her expression gets noticed and becomes fashionable. She seeks to reproduce something of similar quality, and the expression becomes habitual and stylized. Inevitably, the expression becomes more important than the feeling, and soon the feeling evaporates.

When expression becomes all-important because it is pleasurable, satisfying, or profitable, then there is cleavage between expression and feeling. When the feeling IS the expression then the conflict doesn’t arise, and there is no contradiction. But when profit and thought (desire, power, money, status, ego) intervene, then this feeling is lost through greed, and we become a slave to money, desire, and ego. The passion of feeling is entirely different from the passion of expression, and most of society is caught in the passion of expression. Continue reading

Duty And Desire

“Do we have a duty to one another? We could say yes of course, but to my mind, response to another human should be natural instinct.” – I Lawrence

TreesPathSkyCloudsMany of us have gone through an experience where duty seems to conflict with the desire of our heart to fulfill our lives. These conflicts are our crossroads, and if it is true that we call experiences to ourselves, and our outer life mirrors inner life, then the crossroads are very valuable. Through them, and sometimes through pain, we find our way to the truth… that we are duty. ‘Duty to what’ is the question.

I’ve been thinking back to times when I was at a crossroad, and I gave way to restrictive circumstances. I accepted it, feeling duty pressed upon me. Heart’s desire was pushed into the distance, an unapproved option, requiring strength and courage to even consider.

When society uses duty as a tool, it can give a person with a heart much to consider. One needs strength and clarity, and I haven’t always had it… not by myself. I remember heartache and tears, heaviness and resignation, and the thought, “Won’t anyone help me take that other option?” Continue reading

Creation Begins

“The energy of January is a focus on the beginning point of creation, the malleable foundation. What are you thinking and feeling about Life, yourself and others? What are you choosing to bring into the denser form of word? What actions are you taking to manifest your desires?” – J Price

I am very excited about 2015! I feel that it is smoother than recent years and there is a lot of momentum. My Guides are calling it the Year of Creativity. 2+0+1+5 is an 8 year. 8 has the energy of momentum, movement, manifestation, cycles becoming clearer and perhaps culminating into form. The 8 represents the spiral visible from the side, marking the event horizon – what is before, during and after.

It is the way of energy, always moving. We see part of the yin/yang within the 8, the curving, magnetic nature of Life as it shapes direction; infinite movement and connection. The 8 has the nurturing curves of the feminine nature of Life – the bonding, the cohesive, the community. During the Light Language transmission for the month, I was shown cycles culminating. This time marks the Iron Age coming to an end.

Humanity is ascending into a more balanced feminine cycle, where each being is honoring their inherent balance of masculine and feminine energy.

The Year of Creativity will have your feminine influence upon it; your nurturance, your connecting, your shaping of the direction of Life. We are moving from control and conquering into cooperation. There will still be negativity being exposed and even continued around the world, but the shift is occurring. It just doesn’t all happen at once. Creativity is change, and this year of infinite movement and connection is relying on your creativity for its momentum to change. This leads us to the energy of January. Continue reading
