Understanding the Left

Michael E. Young – Before I was old enough to understand the political difference between the right and left, I knew that certain things didn’t add up.  I recall pondering how Democrats could ever win elections with the stated goal of raising taxes.  Who would willingly sign up to hand over more of his money to the government?  What a ridiculous sales pitch.  Do they think people are idiots?  Um…yep.  The joke was clearly on me.

I don’t consider the individuals on the left my enemies.  I think of many of them as causalities of our Democrat media complex.  The real enemy of the USA is the malignant ideology of the progressive left, which has been the enemy of our form of government since day one.

The first thing that must be clarified is that liberalism no longer describes today’s left in our country.  At the core of liberalism is the embrace of the rights of the individual above all else, which is the purpose of the Bill of Rights and the foundation of our country’s law structure.  The left has abandoned liberalism, so it is oxymoronic for the left to describe its members as liberals.  They are actively attacking liberalism and abandoning all the classic Democrat champions of liberalism, such as Alan Dershowitz. ‘Uneducated’: The Left’s Favorite Pejorative

uneducatedGavin Wax – It is no secret that leftists are big supporters of a politically correct culture.  They see no issue with constantly stifling the free speech of anyone who disagrees with the narrative of the mainstream.  They regularly clamp down on free speech in the name of protecting the sensibilities of all those who happen to disagree.

This policy has become so widespread on college campuses throughout the nation that it goes beyond merely condemning what people happen to say or feel, to physically placing the potential “victims” of your speech into so-called “safe spaces” in order to shield them from the dark and scary world of differing opinions.

Now we have a situation where students graduate with not only mounting debt and no discernible job skills, but also a juvenile fear of a different worldview being expressed to them.  These are the future leaders of our country, and their situation perfectly illustrates the madness of the modern regressive left. How To Instantly Tell Who’s Evil Vs. Good

NaturalNews April 30 2013

EmpowermentI get this question all the time from readers: How can we know whom to believe? Who’s really telling the truth? Which person should I support for political office at the next election?

What if I told you there is an incredibly simple way to tell not only who’s good and who’s bad, but also how to tell who is pushing absolute evil onto our world?

This method is remarkably accurate, and you can use it right now to assess almost anyone.

It all starts with understanding the spectrum of control vs. empowerment.

Imagine a 10-foot string stretched out on the ground. On the far left side of the string, there is a point we’ll call “Control.” On the far right side of the string, another point is called “Empowerment.”

Let’s start with the “Empowerment” side first. This point represents people who primarily seek to empower you with knowledge, skills, wisdom and tools. “Empowerment” represents GOOD because it allows wisdom, skills and abundance to multiply from one person to the next. It recognizes the value of the individual and honors consciousness and free will.

On the far left side of the string — which also represents the political left in America today — we have “Control.” This point represents people who primarily seek to control you: to extract money from you (rob you), to limit your freedoms, to demand your obedience and to use the threat of force to command your compliance. This philosophy dishonors the individual and downplays free will and individual liberty. “Control” is inherently evil because it seeks to diminish the power of a large number of people in order to accumulate power into the hands of a few people.

(The context of this discussion is, of course, entirely in the realm of dealing with adults. Obviously children should be subjected to certain controls for their own development and safety. That’s called good parenting. But to treat adults like children and attempt to control them like a parent controlling a child is unjustified and inherently destructive.)

Undeniable Truths You’re Not Supposed To Know

homeschoolThese are some undeniable truths of life that you must understand if you intend to preserve what little individual liberty remains. Like the periodic table of elements, these are not subject to interpretation, they remain inviolable and have been so for all time.

1 The world is governed by the aggressive use of force. Such behavior is only checked by the relative possibility of an effective violent response. Continue reading
