The Monster Vote is Very Real…

Sundance – There is a very specific reason why U.S. print and broadcast media focused intensely on pushing their anti-Trump funeral palozza narrative.  As we saw in the 2016 election cycle, the goal of the DC proletariat is to create a false sense of the electoral landscape.

What they don’t want people to see are reports like this. Last Thursday night’s President Trump rally drew the Ford Center’s largest crowd ever, according to manager VenuWorks. The turnout: 11,500 people, with another 2,000 unable to get in. [Courier and Press Link]

Just like there was no precedent for a single primary candidate – amid a group of 17-  to draw 15,000 people to any event in 2015, so too is there no precedent for 13,500 people showing up to a political rally during a non-presidential mid-term election season.  This is the Silent Majority the media and professional political class fear.  The MAGA movement is unprecedented in size, enthusiasm, and more importantly, resolve. Hillary Attacks Half of America… Again

america Dick Morris – Continuing her campaign rhetoric, in which she called then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s voters a “basket of deplorables,” former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton rolled out a bill of particulars this week enumerating their exact sins.

In doing so, she demonstrated her utter contempt for those who voted for Trump in the last election.

While she claimed for herself the support of the more economically advanced states filled with “dynamic” people who were “moving forward,” she characterized her opponents’ supporters as “looking backward,” suggesting that Trump supporters were motivated by bigotry and prejudice.

She claimed that she won “places that represent two-thirds of America’s GDP. So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.” Continue reading

Trump Cuts The Gordian Knot Of Foreign Entanglements

trumpPatrick Armstrong – President Trump is a new phenomenon on the American political scene.

Not a professional politician begging for funds but a rich man who spent his own money and raised money on his own name: he arrived in office unencumbered with obligations. Free from a history in politics, he owes nothing to anyone. Add in his personality, grandiosity and late-night tweets and the punditocracy is in a state of angry incomprehension. Even more offensive to their notions of propriety is that this “dangerously incompetent“,  unqualified,  mentally ill man beat the “most qualified presidential candidate in history“. No wonder so many of them believe that only cunning Putin could have made it happen – even if they don’t know how.

But the punditocracy is as befuddled about him today as it was last year and the year before. (Scott Adams, who got it right, reminds us just how clueless they were.) The very fact that Trump won despite the opposition of practically every established constituency in the United States shows that there is more to him than readers of the NYT and WaPo or watchers of CNN and MSNBC (can) understand.
