Will Kari Lake Prevail in Her Election Lawsuit?Daniel R. Street – When the win forecast in pre-election polling for Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake did not materialize on Election Day, the tabulator and printer issues in Maricopa County were widely believed to be the culprit.

These widespread issues in Maricopa County were expected to form much of the basis of the Lake campaign’s anticipated challenge to the election, though what additional claims form the basis of the suit was anyone’s guess. The suspense ended on December 9, 2022, when Lake filed her formal election contest in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Prevent Fraud in Maricopa County – Get “Total Ballots Cast” Number on Election Night

Jim Hoft – One easy measure to prevent election fraud requires counties publicize on election night the “Total Ballots Cast”.

The descriptive name can vary. It references the total number of ballots in the jurisdictions possession, a.k.a. the total number of people who voted. Counties typically provide this total by 10-11PM on election night. Among other protections, knowing this total on election night helps insure ballots are not added after the deadline. Arizona Senate Wins Access to Maricopa County Servers To Complete Audit

Maricopa County cavesConservative Research Group – There was a big win for Maricopa County as they agreed to a settlement with the Arizona State Senate over a months-long dispute regarding the county’s routers, network logs, and voter registration database in the 2020 election audit. Senate President Karen Fann announced that they would drop their July 26 subpoena and be provided with the information necessary to finish the review.

According to the announcement, a special master would take questions from the Republican-controlled Senate’s election review contractors and provide them with the information needed. This deal would protect the sensitive information contained on the routers while avoiding massive penalties for not complying. Continue reading

Sonny Borrelli: “It’s Pretty Cut And Dry”

borrelliJordan Conradson – Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli made a formal request for Attorney General Brnovich to investigate Maricopa County’s noncompliance with legislative subpoenas.

Brnovich is required under SB 1487, introduced by Former State Senator Andy Biggs, to comply with this request and investigate the county’s violation of legal subpoenas.

If a law is violated, the county must resolve the violation within 30 days or the treasurer shall withhold state shared revenue from the county, city, or town.

AZ State Senator Demands Biden Electors be Recalled

electorsJim Hoft – Earlier today the Arizona Senate held a hearing on the ongoing Maricopa County forensic audit.

The audit team announced there were 74,000 ballots that were received and included in the 2020 Election in Maricopa County than were mailed out. Logan reported this along with other issues already identified per their work.

They found 74,243 mail-in ballots with NO clear record of them ever being sent!

The audit team also announced that ballots were counted that WERE NOT on the proper paper stock and WERE NOT in proper printing alignment. Other ballots were marked with Sharpie pens that bled through the paper. Continue reading
