NC House Urges Gov. Cooper to Address Southern Border CrisisBrianna Kraemer – On Wednesday, the North Carolina House of Representatives called on Gov. Roy Cooper to step up and address the southern border crisis impacting the state’s health and safety on Wednesday.

All 72 Republicans in the North Carolina House sent a letter to Cooper urging him to stand in solidarity with Texas as the state works to defend the border and protect American citizens. N C’s Democrat Governor Declares Emergency Over School Choice Tony Kinnett – North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, a Democrat, declared a state of emergency Monday because the state Legislature is expected to override his veto of a school choice bill.

“I’m declaring the state of emergency because you need to know what’s happening,” Cooper said during an address in the state capital of Raleigh. “If you care about public schools in North Carolina, it’s time to take immediate action and tell them to stop the damage that will set back our schools for a generation.” Continue reading
