Sara Carter – Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr used his position to funnel information produced by his wife on the now debunked dossier to target President Donald Trump and his campaign, according to more than 330 pages of documents obtained by Judicial Watch.
Ohr was demoted from his position as U.S. Associate Deputy Attorney General in December 2017, after Justice Department officials discovered his wife’s role with the embattled research firm Fusion GPS. The firm was hired by Trump’s political opposition: the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The research hired Ohr’s wife to investigate any links between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia. Moreover, former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson, who founded Fusion GPS, hired ex-British spy Christopher Steele to compile the now infamous unverified dossier.
