Joseph P Farrell – Jean Claude Juncker is planning a visit to Russia, and it’s raising concerns:

“European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker faces growing resistance from the U.S., some European countries — and even among his own staff — to a trip to Russia next month.

Their fear, according to diplomatic sources, is that Juncker’s visit will  strengthen  Russian  President Vladimir Putin’s position right before a crucial decision on renewing economic sanctions against Moscow.” – Jean-Claude Juncker’s Russia trip raises red flags

Trolling Russia

“This is not pinpoint sanctions aimed at Putin’s friends. This is a full-blown war. If the initiators expected Russians to be mad at Putin, they miscalculated. The Russian public is angry with the American organisers of the economical warfare, not with its own government. The pro-Western opposition tried to demonstrate against Putin, but very few people joined them.” – I Shamir

IsraelShamirThe edifice of world post-1991 order is collapsing right now before our eyes. President Putin’s decision to give a miss to the Auschwitz pilgrimage, right after his absence in Paris at the Charlie festival, gave it the last shove. It was good clean fun to troll Russia, as long as it stayed the course. Not anymore. Russia broke the rules.

Until now, Russia, like a country bumpkin in Eton, tried to belong. It attended the gathering of the grandees where it was shunned, paid its dues to European bodies that condemned it, patiently suffered ceaseless hectoring of the great powers and irritating baiting of East European small-timers alike. But something broke down. The lad does not want to belong anymore; he picked up his stuff and went home – just when they needed him to knee in Auschwitz.

Auschwitz gathering is an annual Canossa of Western leaders where they bewail their historic failure to protect the Jews and swear their perennial obedience to them. This is a more important religious rite of our times, the One Ring to rule them all, established in 2001, when the Judeo-American empire had reached the pinnacle of its power. The Russian leader had duly attended the events. This year, they will have to do without him. Israeli ministers already have expressed their deep dissatisfaction for this was Russia’s Red Army that saved the Jews in Auschwitz, after all. Russia’s absence will turn the Holocaust memorial day into a parochial, West-only, event. Worse, Russia’s place will be taken by Ukraine, ruled by unrepentant heirs to Hitler’s Bandera. Who’ll Sanction The Sanctioner?

“It bears repeating. Who’ll sanction the sanctioner? Acting as judge, jury and executioner! The world’s leading human rights abuser. Waging war on humanity for wealth, power and privilege. Threatening its survival. Who’ll stop this menace while there’s time?” – S Lendman

steveLendmanAmerica imposes sanctions recklessly. Like street bullies shoving around anyone they please. Because who’ll stop them?

Washington acts lawlessly. Against targeted states. For political reasons. With no international law permitted authority to do so.

Security Council members alone may impose sanctions. Not individual nations against others.

US veto power has final say. Preventing other SC members from targeting America. Reason enough to bar countries from voting on issues relating to themselves.

Who ever heard of defendants sitting on juries in their own trials? Which ones ever had acquittal authority by veto power?

No nation more warrants sanctioning then America. None more guilty of high crimes against humanity. Genocidal ones.

Demanding accountability. Targeting culpable officials. Making them pay for offenses too grave to ignore.

No longer letting one aggressive war after another go unpunished. Targeted assassinations. Regime change by coup d’etat.

Plundering world resources. Turning planet earth into America’s colony. Running things by its own rules. Claiming what it says goes, or else! Continue reading

Dmitry Orlov ~ How To Start A War And Lose An Empire

“[Hunter Biden] just got outed for being a coke fiend. In addition to the many pre-anointed ones, like the VP’s son, there are also many barns full of eagerly bleating Ivy League graduates who have been groomed for jobs in high places. These are Prof. Deresiewicz’s “Excellent Sheep.”” – D Orlov

HunterBiden_Cokehead

A year and a half I wrote an essay on how the US chooses to view Russia, titled The Image of the Enemy. I was living in Russia at the time, and, after observing the American anti-Russian rhetoric and the Russian reaction to it, I made some observations that seemed important at the time. It turns out that I managed to spot an important trend, but given the quick pace of developments since then, these observations are now woefully out of date, and so here is an update.

At that time the stakes weren’t very high yet. There was much noise around a fellow named Magnitsky, a corporate lawyer-crook who got caught and died in pretrial custody. He had been holding items for some bigger Western crooks, who were, of course, never apprehended. The Americans chose to treat this as a human rights violation and responded with the so-called “Magnitsky Act” which sanctioned certain Russian individuals who were labeled as human rights violators. Russian legislators responded with the “Dima Yakovlev Bill,” named after a Russian orphan adopted by Americans who killed him by leaving him in a locked car for nine hours. This bill banned American orphan-killing fiends from adopting any more Russian orphans. It all amounted to a silly bit of melodrama.

But what a difference a year and a half has made! Ukraine, which was at that time collapsing at about the same steady pace as it had been ever since its independence two decades ago, is now truly a defunct state, with its economy in free-fall, one region gone and two more in open rebellion, much of the country terrorized by oligarch-funded death squads, and some American-anointed puppets nominally in charge but quaking in their boots about what’s coming next.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has urged a rethink of the European Union’s sanctions policy toward Russia, saying the measures are like “shooting oneself in the foot.”

“The sanctions policy pursued by the West, that is, ourselves, a necessary consequence of which, has been what the Russians are doing, causes more harm to us than to Russia,” Reuters quoted Orban as saying on the radio, he added “in politics, this is called shooting oneself in the foot.”

Russia is Hungary’s largest trade partner outside of the EU, with exports worth $3.4 billion in 2013. Also it is highly dependent on Russian energy. Earlier this year Hungary agreed a $13 billion deal with Russian power company Rosatom to expand the country’s only nuclear power plant.

“The EU should not only compensate producers somehow, be they Polish, Slovak, Hungarian or Greek, who now have to suffer losses, but the entire sanctions policy should be reconsidered,” the Hungarian Prime Minister said, saying he is already looking for support to force through changes.  Continue reading . . .
