Be Your Authentic Self

Being your authentic self is the ultimate secret to happiness in life. – Sheri Fink

Be your authentic self. Be true to yourself always. Don’t worry what other people will think. March to the beat of your own unique drum and do the things that make you happy. Magical things happen when you’re following your passions, the things that you really love in life.

Surround yourself with people who inspire you. Always seek to be around people who amplify your energy. After interacting with them, you’ll feel uplifted and excited about life. Look for this reaction when considering friends, coaches, business partners, mentors, clients, Mastermind Group members, etc. Continue reading

Self-Helpless: How To Stop Fixing Yourself

Lynn Newman – My name is Lynn and I admit it — I’m a recovering spiritual self-help junkie!

spiritualI fell onto the spiritual path accidentally in my twenties when I moved to Santa Fe to leave a dysfunctional relationship. I found myself meeting all sorts of healers and spiritual teachers in the new-age town.

I started with walking meditation as my ‘gateway drug’ and before I knew it I was into the hard stuff: Rebirthing, quantum dynamics, psychic surgeries, parapsychology, Rolfing, past-life regression…

I spent weeks meditating in silent retreats, became a Reiki Master, a certified yoga teacher, collected a library of self-help books, went on Shamanistic power journeys to the top of Machu Picchu, the Egyptian pyramids and Teotihuacan.

I learned lucid dreaming, drummed in circles, went to ecstatic dance parties, had aura cleansings with didgeridoos, singing bowls and power rods.

I ‘put the needle in my arm’ as I called world-renown psychics, intuits, numerologists, astrologists, astrocartologists – all with the hope that they would tell me that my life was going to end up fabulous or at the very least, I would know soon some happiness.

Why did I do all this?

I did it because I inherently felt that there was something I needed to fix in me. There was a wrong that needed to be righted; A “not enough” that needed enoughness; An unloveability that needed loving; A problem that needed to be solved. I was taught that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. For decades, I focused on the spiritual part.

I believed that…

Always Look For The Benefits In The Situation

InspireMeToday  September 12 2013

One of my favorite quotations about life’s teachings comes from Thomas Carlyle, who said “Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.”

So, here’s what I’ve come to know:

Take care of yourself as best you can. Daily exercise, relaxation and nutrition are vital for optimal performance in every area of life. Do your best and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Love is what makes life worth living. I believe learning to love is the most important skill we can develop in our lives, and yes I strongly believe it’s a skill that must be learned. I think it’s the reason why we are born – to love and be loved.

Give until it hurts. That’s my motto and sometimes it does hurt – especially when others take advantage. But give anyway! Giving is the other part of receiving, and I’ve found that helping others always comes back to me multiplied.

Learn to be interested in others and their lives. Always look for ways to be of service and you’ll never be alone. You never know who you’ll meet and how your life will be blessed by your connection.

Have goals but don’t fall in love with them. Be flexible, as life is ever changing and your goals will change as you grow and your dreams evolve.

Learn to flow with life like a stream. Change is the only constant in our world, everything and everyone is in always in a constant state of change. Learn to flow with life, relax and enjoy the ride. Remember, “Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream…”

What Do I Really Want To Do With My Life?

Inspire Me Today | August 14 2012

If you have been feeling lost in life and have found yourself wrestling with the age old question that many encounter – what do I really want to do with my life? I would first congratulate you and then ask you to consider yourself lucky for you are at a precipice of change.

Having been there personally, I know firsthand how uncomfortable things can be but I also know that if you look hard enough, this can be something that can change your life forever by helping you unlock the secret to creating a happier, rewarding and a purposeful life.

Give yourself the permission to be happy. Everyone wants to be happy yet people hold themselves back from creating true happiness in all sorts of ways. Indulging in negativity, living in constant fear and anxiety, and feeling powerless are some of the common ways how people stay unhappy.

Happiness is a choice; therefore invest your energy in everything that helps you be happy, not sabotage it.

Know You on a deep level. Your answers exist and they are buried deep within you. The problem is you have never looked deep enough. Unfortunately most of us have rarely been encouraged to look for answers within. If you are looking to create a rewarding existence including the work you love, spend some time with yourself. Take advantage of the help of outside tools that are available to help you along your journey but cultivate the habit of connecting with yourself.
