Cardinal George Pell, Former Vatican Official, Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison

Cardinal George PellAustralian Cardinal George Pell, 77, a former leading Vatican official who last month was convicted of sexually abusing two boys, has been sentenced to six years in prison. He will be eligible for parole after three years and eight months.

During the sentencing hearing, Victoria state County Court Chief Judge Peter Kidd acknowledged the disgraced cleric may not live to serve the full sentence.

“I am conscious that the term of imprisonment, which I am about to impose upon you, carries with it a real, as distinct from theoretical, possibility that you may not live to be released from prison,” Kidd said to Pell. Continue reading →

Pope Francis: Sexual Abuse Accusers Are ‘Megalomaniacs’

pope francisSean Adl-Tabatabai – Pope Francis has slammed Catholic officials who criticize him for mishandling the child sex abuse scandal in the Church, calling them “megalomaniacs.”

According to one of Francis’ closest advisers, the pontiff has remained silent about allegations raised by a former Vatican ambassador that he mishandled the case of child abuser Theodore McCarrick to avoid feeding his accuser’s “megalomania.”

Breitbart.com reports: Víctor Manuel Fernández, archbishop of La Plata, Argentina, and a close personal friend of the pope, said in an interview Monday that the pontiff’s strategy of silence regarding allegations against him stems from his policy of not feeding people’s craving for attention.

Pope Francis “always said that it is not advisable to defend himself from people who seek the limelight, because it would give them what they seek and feed their megalomania,” Fernandez said. “I guess that criterion applies in this case.” Continue reading →

Australia’s pedo cover-up is widening after another high ranking Catholic official is found guilty

sexual abuseLeo Zagami – While all eyes are on Cardinal George Pell, who in June of last year became the highest-ranking Vatican official to face criminal charges involving accusations of sexual offenses, yet another Archbishop was found guilty of covering up the sexual abuse scandal in Australia’s Catholic clergy.

67-year-old Archbishop of Adelaide, Philip Edward Wilson, failed to report allegations of child sexual abuse inflicted on altar boys back in 1976 by a pedophile priest named Father Jim Fletcher, who died in jail in 2006.

The extensive cover-up of pedophilia exercised by the most senior members of the Catholic Church, not only in Australia, but all over the world, pushed the Catholic Bishops of Chile to resign last Friday. Let’s remember that a government inquiry  found that in Australia 7% of Catholic priests working in this country between 1950 and 2010 have been accused of Child sexual abuse. Huge Pedophile Ring Discovered With Clear Ties To Pope Benedict

Sean Adl-Tabatabai – A huge pedophile ring has been discovered by Australian authorities which they say has clear ties to Pope Benedict and the Catholic church.

Prominent Vatican official Cardinal George Pell, who has been an advisor to Pope Benedict and Pope Francis, is currently facing an Australian court on charges of historic sexual assault of children.

Collective-evolution.com reports: Last June he was charged by detectives from Victoria Police, and is currently fighting multiple allegations of sexual abuse, despite the fact that the details of the charges have not been made public.
