Justices Signal a Desire to Avoid Both Cliffs on Presidential Immunity

Justices Signal a Desire to Avoid Both Cliffs on Presidential ImmunityJonathan Turley– Writer Ray Bradbury once said, “Living at risk is jumping off the cliff and building your wings on the way down.”

In Thursday’s case before the Supreme Court on the immunity of former President Donald Trump, nine justices appear to be feverishly working with feathers and glue on a plunge into a constitutional abyss.

It has been almost 50 years since the high court ruled presidents have absolute immunity from civil lawsuits in Nixon v. Fitzgerald. Continue reading

A Moment of Supreme Clarity

“Nothing in the Constitution requires that we endure such chaos.” – US Supreme Court

A Moment of Supreme ClarityJonathan Turley – Those words from the Supreme Court in its Trump v. Anderson ruling on Monday put an end to the effort of Democratic secretaries of state to engage in ballot cleansing by removing former President Donald Trump from the 2024 election.

The court’s decision was one of the most important and impactful moments in its history.

During the first Trump impeachment in 2019, I cautioned Democrats not to toss aside constitutional standards out of their hatred for the president. I quoted from the play “A Man For All Seasons,” when Sir Thomas More is told by his son-in-law that he would “cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?” More responded, “And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ‘round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat?” Continue reading

Trump Made Our Political Choice Clear

Trump Made Our Political Choice ClearJohn Green – I used to think that Donald Trump’s greatest accomplishment was banishing the Clintons from the political landscape. I was wrong. Sidelining the Clinton grifters is a distant second to his greatest feat — showing us, in the starkest possible way, the political choice that we face. He has drawn the radicals into the open, to show us what they have been working towards since the administration of Barack Obama.

I’m an unapologetic Trump supporter, but even I must admit that he makes it easy for some to dislike him. He’s everything the social justice warriors insist that we despise. He’s a white male multi-billionaire who had a privileged childhood. He has a jaded history with the ladies, and is inclined to get into verbal battles that would be better avoided.

Putin, Tucker And Truth, Scotus Smashes Insurrection [Video]

Putin, Tucker And Truth, Scotus Smashes InsurrectionGreg Hunter – Tucker Carlson interviewed Vladimir Putin, and the Deep State melted down.  They called him a “Mouthpiece for Putin,” a “traitor” and threatened to sanction Carlson.  Why?  The truth is a powerful thing, and the Deep State wants you to think the lies they are telling you about the Ukraine war are true.

This against a backdrop of the US Senate sending another $60 billion for a war that has already cost the lives of 500,000 Ukrainian soldiers.  Putin says he is ready to stop the war and negotiate a peace deal.  It is dangerous for you to hear that blasphemy when so much money and kickbacks are being made off a war that was lost long ago.  Way to go, Tucker!
