Charlottesville Is Biggest ‘Fake News’ of Summer

David Horowitz – The tragedy in Charlottesville could have been an occasion to stop and consider how the tolerance for politically correct violence and politically correct hatred is leading the nation towards civil war.

Instead the media and the political left have turned this incident into the biggest fake news story of the summer, transforming its real lessons into a morality play that justifies war against the political right, and against white people generally.

The organizers of the “Unite the Right” demonstration in Charlottesville were repellent racists.

But they came to defend a historic monument honoring a complex man and cause, and not to attack it or presumably anyone else.

They applied for a permit and were denied. They re-applied successfully in a petition supported by the local ACLU.

If they had come to precipitate violence, why would they have gone to the tedious trouble of applying for a permit? Continue reading

Indifference to Violence and Human Suffering

violenceStephen Lendman – America is the greatest purveyor of violence in world history. No other regime ever matched its barbarity on a global scale over a longer duration, its contempt for human rights and welfare.

It operates beneath the phony facade of supporting right over wrong, might alone enforced to serve its imperial interests.

Obama is the latest in a long line of rogue US leaders, contemptuous of rule of law principles and democratic values – responsible for global violence and instability, indifferent to cops turning US streets into battlegrounds, licensed to kill with impunity.

According to the Killed by Police initiative, cops killed 1,199 victims last year, mostly people of color, mainly Black male youths, a testimony to US viciousness.

America’s longstanding culture of violence at home and abroad fosters an out-of-control environment, sanctioned at the federal, state and local levels. Nothing in prospect suggests responsible change. Things continually go from bad to worse.

Obama’s thinly veiled scheme “to keep guns out of the wrong hands” belies US proliferation of endless horrendous violence globally, responsible for the loss of millions of lives and unspeakable human misery. Continue reading

States of Terror

Violence

Chris Hedges – It is nearly certain that we will endure, sooner rather than later, another catastrophic terrorist attack on American soil. The blundering of our military into the Middle East; the failed states that have risen out of the mismanagement and chaos of Iraq and Afghanistan; the millions of innocents we have driven from their homes, terrorized or slaughtered; the bankrupt puppet regimes we have equipped and trained that will not fight; the massive amounts of munitions and military hardware we have allowed to fall into the hands of jihadis—thousands of them carrying Western passports; and the myopic foreign policy whose single tenet is that more industrial violence will get us out of the morass created by our industrial violence in the first place means that we, like France, are in for it.

All the major candidates for president, including Bernie Sanders, along with a media that is a shameless echo chamber for the elites, embrace endless war. Lost are the art of diplomacy, the ability to read the cultural, political, linguistic and religious landscape of those we dominate by force, the effort to dissect the roots of jihadi rage and violence, and the simple understanding that Muslims do not want to be occupied any more than we would want to be occupied. FBI Report: Americans Less Violent Than Ever, Except For Police

“While violence among citizens has dropped, violence against citizens carried out by police has been rising sharply. According to the FBI’s annual Uniform Crime Report, 461 felony suspects were shot by police last year, which is the highest number seen in decades.” – J Vibes

PoliceViolenceIncrease

According to new FBI statistics released this week, violent crime rates in the US fell over 4% in the past year alone, bringing the amount of violent crimes lower than it has been in nearly 40 years. The statistics showed that there were an estimated 1.16 million violent crimes in the year of 2013, which is the lowest number since 1978, when 1.09 million were recorded.

Broken down, the report revealed that manslaughter dropped by 4.4% to 14,196, the lowest rate since 1968, while instances of rape were down 6.3%. Despite the tough economic times, robbery is also down by 2.8% and property crimes were down by 4.1%.

The violent crime rate has been steadily declining since 1994, but the prison population has continued to increase over the decades. There are currently over two and a half million people imprisoned in the US, which is by far the largest prison population in the  world.

Why Humanity Must Come Through

“We are the ones to whom the baton of life has been passed and in whose hands its future rests. We are awaking to the realisation that ‘to be human’ means that we occupy a pivotal role in furthering the work of Creation. That is a gift which surpasses all other blessings with which we are endowed.” –  J Rose

HumanityNeed I say it, we are living in – and through – an apocalyptic time. Disintegration and destruction manifest at an accelerating pace as our World is buffeted by a jumbled combination of opposing energies: the distorted man made toxic ones as well as the universal vibratory waves that are an integral part of great cosmic changes.

Nothing we have experienced up until now quite compares with this. There is little that could prepare us for our journey through this collision of forces, aside from an emerging awareness that they are both external and internal manifestations. Manifestations of human and universal energies seeking to redefine and rebalance their shared essence.

Consider for a moment the contribution that our own specifically ‘man made’ toxic cocktail makes to this confusion: electromagnetic smog; atmospheric aerosol pollutants;  HAARP inspired weather engineering; leaking radioactivity from  nuclear power plants; a highly destructive and continually active war machine; blanket agrichemical pesticide contamination of both air and soil; transgenic crops and animals; unprecedented number of highly contaminating oil spills/leaks; chemical assisted fracking for gas; pharmaceutical and industrial pollution of air water and food; and – not least – the dark side’s deliberate distortion of human energies and the mindless splashing around of these energies by its unaware recipients.
