A Last Quarter Moon of Relationship Communication and Discernment

venusHenry Seltzer – Friday morning’s Last Quarter Moon in the very first degree of Gemini, taking place around 8 am on August 23rd for the west coast, later morning or early afternoon for points east, brings a communicative stance to all our relationships. That is because Venus and Mars, conjunct in Virgo, are also closely conjunct the Sun at the zero degree mark of Virgo, and square the Moon.

The sign of Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury, located in mid-Leo, and Mercury is precisely parallel this Gemini Moon, so that as you deal with issues of relationship and desire (Venus-Mars) you might come to understand that communication is the name of your game.

A Virgo-like penchant for fine distinctions will also come in quite handy. Venus, having been closely conjunct the Sun for several weeks, is now finally catching up to Mars, enhancing what has been a relationship-oriented mid-month of August with the assertive power of the Red Planet. This heightens the energy for male-female relations, and could indeed tend toward reactivity or anger emerging in what is lovingly termed “the battle of the sexes.”

An Elemental Shift

Week Ahead Forecasts

18 – 25 August 2019

18 August – Mars into Virgo
19 August – Venus trine Galactic Centre
20 August – Venus into Virgo / Sun trine Galactic Centre / Mercury trine Jupiter
21 August – Mercury trine Great Attractor
23 August – Sun into Virgo
24 August – Venus conjunct Mars

VirgoLorna Bevan – One after the other this week, Mars, Venus and the Sun cross from fixed Leo into mutable Virgo, from the alchemical element of Fire to Earth. Whenever the personal planets change signs, you notice your emotional state shifting as well.

Those bright creative inspirations that have arisen since the Super New Moon on August 1st and Jupiter/Uranus changing direction on August 11th now need grounding. At the same time, the light bulb moments will still keep coming as Mercury in Leo aligns with Jupiter on the Great Attractor and Mars, Venus and the Sun align with Awakener Uranus in Taurus. A mystic Finger of God from Saturn and Neptune points to Mercury – time to test the viability of your dreams.

This week marks the start of what will become in September a relentless embodiment and manifestation process-when the spiritual rubber will meet reality road. For the inside track, sign up to my subscriber only September 5D Report: “Radical Repurposing”.

Seasonal Currents Full Moon

Full Moon at 3 Virgo-PISCES 12 / August 26, 2018, 7:56am EDT, 4:56am PDT, 12:56pm BST, 9:56pm AEST

full moonKelley Hunter – I especially love this particular Full Moon with Virgo Sun and Pisces Full Moon. Somehow it feels like harp music and angelic song, perhaps sung by nature devas, fairyfolk and, naturally, the mermaids of river and Neptunian seas. Are you tuned in to your natural rhythms? If not, it is time. The organic wisdom of your body can guide you if you are listening to its harmonies and discords.

Quicksilver Mercury is moving forward and so, at last, is red Mars. These two planetary lights have turned green. Still, there is no need to rev the engine with squealing tires to tarmac. Time marker Saturn is still in caution mode, retrograde until it greenlights on September 6. Flowing with the “go” is still the way to go, slow as the going may be. My Pandora is just now playing, “Where Fools Rush In,” so there it is. Patience is well rewarded by Saturn. “There is a time to every purpose under Heaven.” Continue reading

Full Moon in Virgo: Finding True North

Leslie Benson  – The Full Moon is a time of culmination in the lunar cycle when the metaphoric seeds that were planted at the New Moon have grown and blossomed and are now bearing fruit ready for harvest.

The Full Moon in Virgo, opposite the Sun, still swimming through Pisces, brings our awareness to the processes of purification, our orientation in tending to life’s nitty gritty details, and the polarity (or perhaps paradox) of mundane life amidst the Great Mystery of our existence.

Virgo is a mutable earth sign, and Pisces is a mutable water sign, so when the Full Moon falls on this axis there is an opportunity both for being open to the possibility and opportunities for change, yet also attempting to stabilize amidst the topsy-turvy feelings that can come up when things are too much in flux. Add to that a whopping dose of Neptune (located in the sign of his rulership in Pisces, plus conjunct AND parallel the Sun) and we have ourselves a vast, numinous, and oceanic atmosphere for this Full Moon time.
