I love this and it certainly makes sense. What I see as problems in implementing this plan at this point in time is that it would cause even more unemployment and any money saved by the government would more then likely be pumped into the military industrial complex, banks and corporate interests and not into repairing our infrastructure, job creation and getting the good manufacturing jobs back on US soil. It goes without saying that the Medical industrial complex would be up in arms. Maybe in another 20 years maybe never, certainly not now. Wish it were not so.
