Astrologically, there are two very powerful themes flowing through our energy field and reshaping the way we experience our humanity right now. First, the alignment of Saturn in Sagittarius, Neptune in Pisces and Mercury in Virgo is bringing about a sense of crisis and chaos for those of us trying to hold onto the ideals and securities of our past. Second, powered by the recent cycle of the Moon and Sun through the sign of Cancer, we have recently been offered an energetic opportunity to develop the self-trust and inner security we need to confidently follow our new path.
So now, with today’s New Moon in Leo, the question becomes: Where are you in this new story?
If you are responding to these current energies with anxiety, worry and doubt, you are seeing reality through the limits of the mind, and not allowing the experience of cosmic intelligence to take you where we are naturally, intuitively destined to go. And it’s an easy trap to fall into; the outer authority we accept of our external world is heavily unconsciousness, reflected to us through disempowering images, language and programmed limitations which steer the mind to a place of deep insecurity and instability.
If we accept this sense of externalized power instead of assuming sovereign authorship over our lives, we will (falsely) come to believe that scarcity, conflict and competition are the natural, dominant ways of the world, instead of abundance, peace and co-creation. However, the space we need to embody in order to move forward on our path, is the knowing that we are in a cosmic flow of universal creation and our paths have destinies that our minds can never totally convince — simply because our reality is too vast for our minds to comprehend.
The cosmic flow always has purpose and form, and tapping into that flow comes from quieting the mind, being receptive to the prompts of the universe, and responding with courage and authority.
As a new society emerges on our planet and a new human cycle is being formed, we each have the choice to remain focused on our fears and doubts for the future, or to immerse ourselves in the experience of where we are right now — and know that our time and space on Earth, here and now, is our cosmic journey. This is what we came to experience — the total metamorphosis of the collective consciousness — and although the outcome is yet unknown, which can upset the logical mind, know that the process of change and metamorphosis is simply natural order.
And you are a living expression of that nature! Thus, the theme for this New Moon in Leo is self-validation.
Through last month’s New Moon in Cancer cycle, we became aware that we are re-shaping and re-ordering ourselves and our lives in entirely new ways; making the transition from instability to natural order. For that that take place, we need to know our own inner essence.
If we are to organically flow toward people and experiences that reflect who and what we are, we first need to validate our own individual experience and perspective; to know our own personal journey, and begin to find true sovereignty within it. We must now take charge of our own experience, and this can take enormous courage, since we are raised to accept external authority, not self-authority over our lives.
With today’s New Moon in Leo, we have energetic support to achieve just that. With the Sun and Moon in Leo (the sign of self-actualization) both making connections to Neptune in Pisces, we currently have an invitation to release our old self-identities of the past and embrace the trust and openness we need to see where our new lives are being cosmically directed.
Of course, this direction cannot be mentally directed, or even understood. By responding to our lives through functions of the mind will leave you following a path that is influenced by what is not present for you. After all, the mind cannot direct what it cannot comprehend. Such detachment leaves you out of the body and out of touch with the universal experience.
At our essence, we are consciousness moving through form — spirit moving through matter — and our path forward is about knowing and connecting with that truth. By feeling your unique heartbeat (Leo) and actualizing your experience of your authentic Self, you bring destiny to you instead of you going to find it! So much easier right?
The magic of an awakening heart lies in the moment you realize life is moving through you.
The New Moon Message
It is becoming ever more apparent that we are not in conscious control of our lives; that as much as we would like to convince ourselves of our absolute authority over our lives, we still find ourselves being blindsided by the irregularity of life’s movement. And if we were to be truly honest with ourselves, we would admit that we have absolutely no idea of how things are going to turn out for us in our individual, personal stories.
Yes, we can seek to empower ourselves with a sense of knowing through different methods of interpreting reality, and work to manifest our desires into creation, but in the bigger picture, none of us truly knows if we will even be here tomorrow. The truth is, the only thing we can be certain of is the present moment. And the only thing we can control is how we receive and respond to it.
Our true authority lies in the moment, not in our plans for the future. It is about surrendering to the now; not to retract oneself from the process but to align oneself with it. To respond to fate. It is a beautiful dance of cause and effect. We react to being blindsided by the unknown not with fight nor flight, but by adjusting ourselves and our actions to meet the present moment; not grasping at new potential directions that offer a sense of security but trusting the process of change and allowing the new direction to reveal itself, and reacting according to what is right for you.
It is said that life is what happens when we’re busy making other plans. Indeed, true power lies in how we respond to life and not how we direct it. True courage is found in how we can allow life to show us the way, as it takes us through both the desirable and undesirable aspects of reality that will ultimately shape our evolution. True courage is found in our willingness to face the inevitable fate of the universal flow, and to then respond with humility and self-awareness, constantly adjusting and aligning ourselves with that flow.
To respond to life as it reveals itself in every moment takes a tremendous amount of courage. And yet it is all we have, right here and now.
Be courageous and humble, and you will be amazed.
