Full Moon Update 9-6-17

full moonLena Stevens – Full Moon is Wednesday, September 6 at 1:02AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).

You can also honor this moon the night of the 5th. The full moon marks a time of intensity. They say that you should always face your opponent, your fear, your challenge head on without cowering or showing fear. Not that this full moon is anything to fear, however it does mark a time of big energy that can be quite emotional and overwhelming. It does open the senses to a higher frequency, stretching our ability to perceive everything in a fuller way.

We recommend that you use this moon to acknowledge courage, expansion, showing up and your own power and ability to change, adjust and be more. Use this full moon to energize your physical, emotional and spiritual self. Gather some chi from nature, from the sun, from the earth, the sky realm and all the unseen powers and allies around you.

If you feel overwhelmed by the enormity, just acknowledge, accept and be OK with it. You’ll get used to it. It is like being sore after exercising a muscle that has not yet been used. If you continue, the discomfort will pass and you will be stronger for it.

This is also a good time to dream your future. Put some of that good chi and emotion into how you want to feel in your life from now on. Take those intentions you set during the eclipse and energize them with beauty, love, inspiration, gratitude and awe. It is helpful to be around nature, what you love, and lots of beauty.

Blessings,
Lena

Astrological Notes – Patricia Liles

  • Pisces Full Moon
  • Sun in Virgo ~ Moon in Pisces 14º
  • Wed. September 6, 1:02 AM Mountain Daylight Time

The soothing waters of Pisces are most welcome after moving through the powerful time of the eclipse portal.  Full Moon Pisces is aligned with its own ruler, Neptune.  That’s an invitation.  We have access to our most creative, imaginative and psychically connected selves through our emotional bodies.  We are called on to dream and to envision from our deep, inner sacred temples of the heart.

Open those portals wide, feel everything there is to feel and let it all dissolve into the sea of life.  Now, feel just how you would choose to have your life feel and infuse it with light and power.  We are highly sensitive under this Moon.  We have been plucked out of our old frameworks with the eclipses, and though not yet comfortable with the new, there is renewed commitment to a more powerful, highly tuned existence.

Pisces is the metaphysical force in the zodiac, the keeper of the spiritual journey, the bodhisattva energy of compassionate acceptance of humanity and all that arises.  Compassion is a wide-open heart holding the dark and the light, the suffering and the bliss, the pain and the joy.  Where Pisces can lose their way is in being overwhelmed by human suffering, the pain of feeling too much and then needing to anesthetize their tender hearts with alcohol, drugs, comfort foods, media, any addictive behavior that drowns out the pain.

Our suffering comes from separation, the loss of the sacred in our lives, a relationship with that which is greater than ourselves giving meaning and purpose to our lives.  Pisces/Neptune provide the container for us to realize we are not flawed, sinful creatures, but sparks of the divine ~ precious and infinite.

Neptune, Pisces’ ruler, hasn’t been in its own sign Pisces for 168 years.  Now from 2011-2025, Neptune is our ally to transcend our habit of separation for the realization that oneness with all life is powerful, necessary and possible through our compassionate hearts.  The Moon Full in Pisces with Neptune magnifies our ability to humbly surrender old victim/martyr/blame habits.  Let nature, music, painting, poetry, dance and your dream life align you with Pisces’ gifts.

Mercury began its retrograde at 12º Virgo on August 12 (between the two eclipses – like someone untied our shoe strings so we might trip over them…).  It moves direct again on September 5 and will reach 12º Virgo again on September 19.  Thanks for the redo, Mercury, and the chance to rethink a few things and to gain some clarity, oh, and for the teachings from the communication glitches – very revealing.

On Full Moon, Jupiter comes out of its shadow period and regains the degree it left at retrograde in early February 23º Libra.  Now we can see more movement forward in our goals, relationships, negotiations and plans that have been on hold – more opportunities that we can open to.

We can expect Jupiter to complete its third opposition to Uranus on September 27.  This was a long and major arc of learning that began late last year 2016 opening and letting our belief systems from the past release while inspiring trust and faith in our intuition and ability to create our lives in connection with Spirit.

A powerful and unrelenting teaching that also formed an on-going T-square with Pluto.  Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter in aspect make for unprecedented change and transformation.  Although looking a little raggedy around the edges from the wrenching and tearing, I think we all applied this energy to our lives in magnificent ways.

We will also see retrograde Pluto in Capricorn turn direct on September 28.  Pluto continues its long journey (2008-2024) exposing the darker side of Capricorn ruled government, corporate and financial institutions.  Pluto was last in Capricorn from 1772-1779 a period of notable rebellion and unrest.

For you, it means removing any blocks to standing in your authority and not giving it up and taking responsibility for your community, your tribe, managing your life and being successful in fulfilling your mission.  It’s really the faster moving, inner planets ~ Mercury Venus, Mars that affect us most on a personal level when retrograde and not so much the outer planets that are retrograde half the year.

“Discord and strife” is the T-shirt dwarf planet Eris wears.  She just cannot abide injustice and she does not hold back.  Jupiter exactly opposes her degree just after the time of Full Moon and because Eris (sister of war-loving god Ares) is traveling closely with Uranus in Aries, we continue to see derision and conflict being played out in our social arenas.

All manner of injustice, discrimination and bias is being brought to the table to be openly called out for what it is.  This aspect has lasted all of 2017 beginning January 16.  Those of you with planets at 23-24º Aries (or Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) have particularly felt this on a personal level.

We honor equal day and equal night at the Equinox on September 22 just days after the Virgo New Moon on September 19-20 ~ a welcome time of balance.  With the Sun entering Libra, we honor the element of air to bring us needed perspective on all the change we have been called on to embrace recently.

The following are in Mountain Daylight Time (MDT):

  • 09/19 Virgo New Moon 28º 11:30 PM MDT
  • 09/22 Equinox/Sun enters Libra 2:01 PM MDT
  • 10/05 Aries Full Moon 13º 12:41 PM MDT
