GED stands for General Education Development. It is also known as a General Education Diploma. You must not be enrolled in any high school and be a least 16 years old in order to take the test. The time you have out of high school matters while enrolling for this test. Some states only allow those that have been out of school for 60 consecutive days to take the test.

In case of any failure in the fast tests, you are allowed to retake it. Retaking the test comes with some additional requirements which include attending a GED prep class and additional fees. The scores are received within 24 hours after taking the test.

Those with disabilities are allowed to sign for the test online after registration.
