Kari Lake Files Petition to Transfer Election Challenge to AZ. Supreme Court

Kari Lake Files Petition to Transfer Election Challenge to AZ. Supreme CourtKari Donovan – Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has filed a petition to immediately transfer the appeal of the most recent ruling in her election integrity lawsuit to the Arizona Supreme Court. Lake filed the petition on Monday and wants the state’s highest court to take on her request in an interesting move that the corporate media is ignoring.

Earlier this week, Lake said she is open to a hand recount. In response to a Twitter user calling for a “full hand recount of all AZ ballots,” Lake replied with three simple words: “Yes. We. Do.”

Newsweek reported on the situation: “Lake was responding to a post from Cory McGarr, a conservative member-elect of the Arizona House of Representatives. In his tweet, McGarr pushed for the hand recount and said: ‘If there’s nothing to hide there’s nothing to fear.’ McGarr also tagged Abraham Hamadeh, a Lake ally and former GOP candidate for Arizona attorney general who challenged the results of his own recent election after he lost. A recent recount in that race confirmed that Hamadeh had, in fact, lost to his Democratic opponent Kris Mayes—although by a slimmer margin than the initial tally.”

Martin Walsh reported on the story for Conservative Brief, adding that last week, Lake filed an appeal after a judge rejected her claims in a lawsuit that sought to overturn her election loss to Hobbs, pointing to more details in his reporting:

In an interview on “The Larry Elder Show” on Epoch TV, Lake said those disputing her election lawsuits have “picked the wrong woman to mess with” and vowed to take her lawsuit “all the way to the Supreme Court” if necessary.

“I promised when I ran for governor that I would stand up and fight for the people of Arizona every single day. And I’m still fighting for them because they’re asking me,” Lake said. “I’m not going to lie to you, I’ve had days where I just go, ‘I’m tired.’ But I can’t walk away. I can’t say to the children, ‘Good luck. I had a great life. I had freedom in America. Good luck and enjoy the communism.’”

.@KariLake: “I’m hoping our appeal is more of the same. Where people actually get to see how corrupt this is. One of the things the judge would not allow us to bring forth was the count on the lack of signature verification, or at least the process that is so broken.”  Kari Lake War Room (@KariLakeWarRoom) posted on Twitter on December 30, 2022.

“@KariLake: “She’s a complete joke. She couldn’t even articulate her policies. She didn’t show up to debate. She didn’t even campaign. We have our very own version of Joe Biden here in Arizona. And her name is @katiehobbs.” Kari Lake War Room (@KariLakeWarRoom) was posted on Twitter on December 30, 2022.

Over 200 people submitted statements to the court detailing their frustrating experiences trying to vote on Election Day in Maricopa County. However, Judge Thompson stated that many of those voters were still able to cast their ballots.

“If the ballot definitions (sizes) were changed, it stands to reason that every ballot for that particular definition printed on every machine so affected would be printed incorrectly,” Thompson wrote. “As Plaintiff’s next witness indicates, that was not the case on Election Day. In either event, Mr. Parikh acknowledged that he had no personal knowledge of any intent behind what he believes to be the error.”

Judge Thompson said that Lake’s team did not provide evidence proving voters were turned away or refused ballots on Election Day.

Jordon Conradson has been following the story and reporting live with updates for Gateway Pundit. He covered the details of Lake’s recent actions, reporting on details of the newest legal moves:

Katie Hobbs is set to take office this week after her narrow and highly questionable election win.

Lake argues that Katie Hobbs’ swearing-in ceremony on January 2nd and the “electoral chaos” that targeted and disenfranchised Republican voters in Maricopa County on Election Day justify an immediate decision from the Arizona Supreme Court and a new election.

The filing cites “evidence put forward in this case, including the changing and conflicting testimony of Maricopa officials, and sworn testimony by whistleblowers employed by Maricopa,” to show that Maricopa County failed to verify mail-in ballot signatures, failed to keep chain of custody for 300,000 ballots and caused massive “chaos” on election day causing tabulators to reject tens of thousands of ballots, disproportionally targeting Republican voters.

On Election Day in Maricopa County, over 50% of tabulators and printers failed the moment that polls opened, causing voters to be turned away from the polls and creating long wait times of four hours or more. This is suspected by many to be an intentional act aimed to disproportionally affect Republican Election Day voters who turned out 3:1 for Kari Lake.
