Raise Your Consciousness at Home with Children

familyPhysical wellness among all family members is a success to be celebrated. More so if it’s the result of a deliberate family effort to make healthier choices moving forward. This very enthusiasm can also be directed towards spiritual health. The wellbeing of your family is greatly enhanced should you take steps to raise its consciousness.

Such methods include:

1. Instill positive beliefs

Instilling positive beliefs is crucial to the healthy development of your kids. Especially in a world fraught with negativity and disasters that can place a strain on your optimism. Faced with such realities, a positive outlook of the world that has been fortified over time can serve as strong armor against their effects. Reminding your children to always be positive will have a therapeutic effect on you.

2. Build self-esteem among family members

All individuals who have problems with their self-esteem weren’t born with them. It’s only through exposure to the less pleasant aspects of existence that weakened what was once a very robust and healthy self-love. Endeavor to repeat affirmations to yourselves as a family until it takes root in your psyche. Examples of such statements include;

♥ You are perfect as you are.

♥ You are loved.

3. Embrace Change

The uncertainty that accompanies change can be a great source of anxiety and fear especially if you’ve spent plenty of time within familiar surroundings. An example of such a scenario is when children hear of plans to buying a house when they are comfortable enough living where they’ve spent their lives growing up. A new attitude towards change can be achieved by taking the view that some good is bound to come from it. What’s remarkable about change is that, more often than not, good does eventually come of it.

4. Be more open with your feelings

One of the biggest causes of inner misery amongst individuals is consistently keeping one’s emotions bottled up rather than letting it out. While keeping your emotions to yourself might be a tactful thing to do on occasion but making a habit of it can lead to them eating at you. Opening up enables you to talk things out and resolve any problems that might be troubled. Make an effort to do so and you have a guarantee that you’ll be happier for it.

5. Meditate

Set aside a duration of time every week where all family members can convene and meditate together. The time spent together will allow you to breathe through all the various trials, tribulations and stresses you’ve gone through the entire week. Doing it together also helps to build the bond you have with each other. The biggest reward, however, will be the feeling of calm and rejuvenation you’ll experience afterwards. This frame of mind will allow you to face the world with renewed vigor and enthusiasm.

6. Connect

How well do you know the members of your family? You undoubtedly know them better than most people, but chances are you don’t know them intimately. Make an effort to inspire more intimate conversations with both your children and your spouse. The closer bonds you cultivate will doubtlessly enrich your spiritual health and increase your happiness as a family.

7. Journal

Journaling allows you and your kids to record everything you’re grateful for on a regular basis. The effect of such a practice is that it cultivates humility and provides perspective whenever you are going through a rough patch.
