The final three days of the astrological year are the most mystical of the entire year. The “veils between the worlds” are thinnest. It is a time of transition — a time to release the past or release the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that we do not want to carry with us into the new year.
The Sabian symbol and theme of the astrological new year (which begins on Thursday, April 7) is “the magic carpet of Oriental imagery.” Releasing what no longer serves us lightens our load. Balsamic phase seeks to unburden us. What do you want to release?
Spiritual Connection – Today carries exceptionally high levels of spiritual connection, support, and insight, even for the most powerful Balsamic phase energy of the year. The Sun is discharging the energetic of “brownies (fairies) dancing in the setting Sun.” The twilight of this all-important year leaves us reveling. Setting Suns are the best times for release.
Follow the direction – Since spiritual communion is heightened, it is a good idea to release or surrender (go with the flow) today. The Moon will make conjunction with Neptune today (exact conjunction at 7:41 pm ET/11:41 pm UT) at the degree of “men travelling a narrow path seeking illumination.” We follow along, trusting that we are being led on the right path.
Emotional Overwhelm – The Moon in Pisces can be overwhelming at any time, but today, with the Moon’s conjunction with Neptune, the watery, emotional realms are deep. Neptune “rules” Pisces, so it’s like a double effect.
Feelings of loss are amplified with Mercury discharging the energetic of “a large disappointed audience” and the Earth discharging “after a storm, a boat landing stands in need of reconstruction.” This combination is quite potent, bringing up emotions and creating conditions that prompt the release that is now needed.
Breakthroughs – Despite the tsunami of emotions, a breakthrough is indicated. Venus is discharging the energetic of “light breaking through into many colors as it passes through a prism.” This is a spark of creation. What we focus on today has the power to multiply in the future.
If emotions become too much, it may be helpful to envision “shooting” or “directing them” through a prism for the universe to handle. The prism can refine the energy, purifying it, and turning it into something beautiful – perhaps even a rainbow.
Break things down into smaller steps or components if overwhelm encroaches.
Transition – Without question, today’s energetics are completing the finale of this Year of Shift, the Year of “the music of the spheres” — the Year of the Recalibration of Human Consciousness toward sanity, balance, harmony, and alignment with our true and natural state of being. Deep changes are happening inside us and in the world. Mars is completing activation of the degree of “deep within the depths of the Earth new elements are being formed.” Are you resisting something? Resisting a change? Is the resistance making things harder? Can you trust and release?
In the natural way, the days before the New Year are a time of celebration. There is anticipation for the burst of the new. New means change, and we have been conditioned (programmed) to fear change. Change is the way of universe.
Can we be like fairies dancing in the setting Sun today? It may be a challenge. But wise owls are up for it.
The most important thing now is to take a step back from the outer world and connect with the inner world. It is the “visionary” time of the year when we want to be “setting our tables for the future” in our mind’s eye. Fear has no place on our table. Let’s release that and go back to “setting up” what we want to unfold over the upcoming year — what we want to experience on new year’s adventure of the magic carpet ride.
