Though the Moon will not appear to be Full until Monday night, this weekend’s energetics may feel like early-onset Full Moon Lunacy, which we can call Full Moon Clarity. These are the same thing in many ways since enlightenment brings with it a whole new slew of realities with which we have to deal.
This weekend, emotions run high and cause all sorts of things. Here’s why:
THE SUN is located at “A BROKEN BOTTLE AND SPILLED PERFUME.” When this energetic is activated, things can easily shatter, break down, break apart, and cut open, and then the essence of something is released. Something comes to light or comes to the surface, and it can feel like a loss. The loss can be great. The greatest loss is the loss of spiritual essence that arises from deep disappointment, betrayal, hopelessness, and absence of desire for life. This energy wants to release whatever has been hidden or pent up. Ultimately it wants to reveal true contents so that they cannot be hidden by what is on the outside.
THE EARTH is located at “AN ELECTRICAL STORM.” Tensions and conditions that have been building start to spark. Power builds and situations start to get out of control. We often feel at the mercy of life’s events when this energy is activated. It can seem like we have no control. As the lightning builds in our bodies, high anxiety and headaches can arise. But the symbol is specific; the storm is electrical — no rain is mentioned. This means that the emotional cleansing is not in effect here. The energy primarily charges up whatever is in the atmosphere.
MERCURY comes fully out of the “shadow” of its retrograde (September 14 to October 9) as it comes back to the degree where it retrograded at “AFTER A STORM, A BOAT LANDING STANDS IN NEED OF RECONSTRUCTION.” So the “storm” of Mercury’s retrograde is now fully ending, and our mental structures (our minds) need to be restored. Our minds cannot be restored to factory setting before the retrograde, because we have learned much and much has changed. We restore ourselves now in the manner that fits now. Perspectives, mindsets, and hearts may have changed, and these factors are taken into account for reconstruction.
VENUS is at “A FINE LACE HANDKERCHIEF,” reminding us to be careful with words and actions. Appreciation of what you think of as “finery” will moderate situations.
Half past midnight ET Sunday night (00:35 am ET/04:35 am Monday, October 26), Venus will move to the degree of “A VOLCANIC ERUPTION.” This comes in advance of the Full Moon on Tuesday.
All of the energetics of this Gibbous Moon phase “load in” to the field what is brought to full light at the Full Moon. Therefore, the thoughts, feelings, and BELIEFS that we hold between now and the Full Moon invoke certain flavors and edges to the waxing Moon. Gibbous Moon phase is the most “magical” time of the lunar cycle. The power of our minds to manifest thought is higher than any other time of the cycle. In a way, people born under the Gibbous Moon phase effortlessly say “poof” and then it appears.
We can make some magic of our own this weekend by understanding the energetics and choosing our reactions instead of reactions choosing us. We see a bigger picture where what is in alignment with the value and respect for life emerging from the dissolution of what has been in alignment with devaluation and disrespect for life. We watch the interplay of energies of the Great Moon Mirror in the Sky from the ever-so-slight disengagement of the wise owl in the tree.
