The main theme for July is “Just DO IT!”

Lena Stevens – The reason I chose this theme above several other appropriate ones is to have a mantra or a reminder of how to use the energy available this month so that it does not use you. If you don’t take action, action is likely to take you. If you don’t just do what you have been dreaming, discussing, actiontalking about, thinking about, procrastinating, theorizing, considering or just simply being afraid to act upon, spirit may just throw some action your way to rattle your cage, break apart your stagnation, and get the show on the road. Would it not be better for you to be in charge of this energy? And to focus it the way you want?

We have some great fuel this month to finally break the stalemates that may have been plaguing our movement forward. The challenge will be the emotional confusion that could still be there and that is most likely related to our past imprinting. The truth is that we may not get much if any intellectual clarity on this emotional confusion. Emotional clarity is what we will be basing our actions on and emotional clarity is something that comes with connecting how you feel with what you need to do about it. The key word here is how you feel not how others feel.

Release Judgment And Criticism Of Others

lifeAndrea Schulman – Have you been able to fully release judgment and criticism of others? Or instead do you still find yourself feeling irritated or bothered by the actions and behaviors of others?

I myself am no saint. While I have definitely moved more into a field of appreciating and accepting others, there are still times when I still find myself getting annoyed. This is especially true if I feel someone is being closed-minded.

Ironically, my irritation with another’s closed-mindedness is just a form of my own closed-mindedness, isn’t it?

Below are a few ways I’ve been learning to help me release judgement and criticism of others.

Some of these ideas have helped me move beyond the need to debate and argue with others, and they have helped me repair a number of challenging relationships in my life. Others are newer ideas I am just now learning to play around with.

I hope you enjoy them!

Focus on your heart chakra.

Recently my friend Ross Pittman (of Conscious Life News) offered this suggestion to me: when you get annoyed with others, take a moment just to pause and focus your energy on your heart, which is the love energy center of the body. A simple redirection of focus can help you boost feelings of love over judgement.

Transformational New Moon in Scorpio [Video]

Joseph P Anthony – November 2016 starts on a pretty similar note to that of the previous month except there is feeling of change in the air, that’s because last month’s New Moon in Scorpio marks another momentous crossroads for humanity.

The sign Scorpio rules death, as well as transformation. Its ruler is Pluto, the Greek god of the Underworld, the terrain of the “unconscious”. What needs to die this month before it can be reborn? Scorpio is the only astrological sign that has three symbols- the Scorpion (physical), the Eagle (psychological) and the Phoenix (spiritual) – showing that there are three levels of transformation to be achieved before true metamorphosis can occur.

Doing by Not Doing

flowOwen K Waters – Wouldn’t it be just great if life suddenly became a lot easier? What if, instead of working hard to complete a project, it all just flowed together in one easy-moving path towards perfect completion?

Such is the promise of the Eastern philosophy of Wu Wei (“Woo-Way”), which promotes the idea of “doing by not doing.” When nothing is done, it says, nothing is left undone.

When nothing is done… excuse me? When I first encountered this stark contradiction I became seriously worried about my brain cells short-circuiting and melting. The more I thought about it, the more convinced I became that I was starting to smell smoke coming out of my ears!

Later, at an older and riper age, I began to see the idea behind the apparent contradiction. The alternative translation of “action without effort” instead of “doing by not doing” helped to clarify the original idea. I came to realize that if, instead of trying to make something happen by the usual efforts of planning, willpower and determination, you go within and see the action accomplished, then something very different happens. The action doesn’t mysteriously become accomplished by non-effort, but you experience a state of flow which enables you to move through the task with ease, grace and incredible efficiency.

A leading light in positive psychology today is Hungarian-American professor Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. (In case you’re wondering, his last name is pronounced, “Cheek-sent-me-high-ee.”) His focus on happiness and creativity led to the concept of flow, which is a state of concentration or complete absorption in an activity. He points out that developing a state of flow leads to higher skill development and the ability to meet higher challenges within a chosen field.

October 2016 Energy Report

actionJennifer Hoffman – We’re out of the heavy transitional energies of September and that’s a relief. But before you jump out of the October starting gate and rush off onto any available path because you are so glad to be out of those challenging energies, be aware that Mercury is still in its shadow retrograde, we have some energy aspects that support careful consideration and calm assessment before taking action, and while fresh starts are possible, they must be made within the context of October’s energy requirements of balance, equilibrium, and congruence. And with all of the focus on relationships and partnerships this month, remember that your first and most important relationship is the one you have with yourself, and it’s the one all of your other relationships will mirror.

Like September, October begins with a new moon but this one is not an eclipse and it doesn’t have some of the challenging aspects of September’s. So we begin the month with support for new efforts but Mercury is still in its difficult retrograde until October 7, so mind the retro warnings, they are still in effect. This is a month for action that is aligned with our intention, energy, and energetically balanced with our needs, for priorities that put us first, and for equilibrium in our lives so the energy flows with congruent harmony.

If you’re saying ‘yes’ to all of that, let’s take a closer look so you know exactly what this means. October’s energy does not come with a magic wand but it does offer profound potential for transformation if we’re willing to align with it, do the work it requires, and take action.
