Keep Calm – How to Manage Anger

Sometimes, we find ourselves with a short fuse, unable to keep calm in stressful or anger-inducing situations. Our anger can get the better of us, as angerwe lose our temper and struggle to think clearly. If it goes unchecked, then we can alienate ourselves accidentally. We can lose friends, family and even our partner.

How can you treat anger, though? You need to learn how to manage it, so you can live a more peaceful, relaxed life. You cannot let anger define or dictate your future. This is how to manage your anger.

Recognize Your Triggers

Before you try to control your anger, you need to understand what causes your irrational thoughts. Therefore, be mindful of your surroundings and try to recognize anything that causes your heart to beat faster. Make a note of anything, or anyone, which causes tension. Once you have a better understanding of your triggers, you can try to avoid or manage them accordingly.

Are We (Collectively) Depressed?

angerCharles Hugh Smith – Psychoanalysis teaches that one cause of depression is repressed anger.

The rising tide of collective anger is visible in many places: road rage, violent street clashes between groups seething for a fight, the destruction of friendships for holding the “incorrect” ideological views, and so on. I Think We Can Safely Say The American Culture War Has Been Taken As Far As It Can Go.

This raises a larger question: are we as a society becoming depressed as we repress our righteous anger and our sense of powerlessness as economic and social inequality rises?A coarsening of the entire social order is increasingly visible: The Age of Rudeness.

Depression is a complex phenomenon, but it typically includes a loss of hope and vitality, absence of goals, the reinforcement of negative internal dialogs, and anhedonia, the loss of the joy of living (joie de vivre).

Depressive thoughts (and the emotions they generate) tend to be self-reinforcing, and this is why it’s so difficult to break out of depression once in its grip.

One part of the healing process is to expose the sources of anger that we are repressing. As psychiatrist Karen Horney explained in her 1950 masterwork, Neurosis and Human Growth: The Struggle Towards Self-Realization, anger at ourselves sometimes arises from our failure to live up to the many “shoulds” we’ve internalized, and the idealized track we’ve laid out for ourselves and our lives. Aries Full Moon

moonCarol Ciocco – Hello and welcome to Events of High Strangeness where the Times They Are A Changin’.

There is a full Moon, Super moon blowin’ in the wind in a few days. We are already swept up into its intensity. This Moon is contacted by the outer planets Uranus and Pluto, who were in a scorching square from 2012-2015 – and are still engaged now although to a lesser degree. At this moment they are caught up in the high tide of a Supermoon, which tugs at our edges and sucks our emotions toward a crescendo.

Plus the energetic, often aggressive, definitely noticeable planet Mars is involved, standing with the power of Pluto – dark, mysterious, transformative. I.e. this isn’t happening on the surface, it is happening deep within you. The moon is in the sign of Aries which re-affirms Mars, acting as a catalyst to trigger you so you can change. Watch for anger. Somebody is trying to lock something down. The irresistible urge to make your mark on the course of human events pits you against an immovable object entrenched in the ancient past. Be careful not to crash on the rocks of collective potential.

The dance between Uranus and Pluto is a direct link to the 1960s when massive shifts in our culture and society left an indelible mark on who we are today. This is happening again now. If you look around you will see the tectonic shifts in our world. They are strange, they are combative. Unusual and even abusive, these forces are unstoppable. They bring wild change and sometimes they arrive in not-so-pretty packages. The water is rising, the road is aging, and old orders are rapidly fading.

Is Anger Blocking Your Money Flow?

angerJelaila Starr – People often ask me how I come up with the topics for my weekly messages. Often times they come as a result of a counseling session. When I get a string of sessions with a similar topic I take that as a cue to share the solution. Moreover, I’ve come to realize that when those strings occur, it is because there are a large number of people working on the same issue at the same time. You could say they are working on a template that when done, will be available to all via the mass consciousness grid.

Right now I’m seeing a lot of work being done on anger and how it blocks the flow of money. Money is a big issue right now. You could say that we are working on templates for how to flow money even when it appears that we cannot due to the fears that are stopping us.

There are many ways in which anger can block money flow…any number of issues, too many to discuss in one weekly message. Today I’ll cover one of them.

Money flow can be blocked by anger over someone who is taking your energy and giving back very little. In other words the energy exchange is grossly imbalanced. This type of block is not easy to see when it begins, especially for those who with a humanitarian bent. The reason is because of our inherent desire to help others causes us to defend the amount of time, money and effort (energy) we are expending on that individual. Here’s an example.

I have a client that I’ll call Sherry. Sherry is one of those people that rarely ever gets angry. When people walk all over her, she cries but does not get outraged.

Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Month: “a table set for an evening meal”

Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Year: “the music of the spheres”

This last day of the astrological year’s report is abbreviated, as I have a special audio message that I will post later today.  This recording is not the New Moon in Aries Overview, but some things that I want to discuss before this year ends.

As the last day of the natural year (the year as counted by the cycles of the Sun and Moon), it is truly New Year’s Eve.  A new alignment with the Earth and new energetics for the upcoming year starts tomorrow.

On “New Year’s Eve” today, the Sun is located at the degree of “an empty hammock.”  This symbol is about resting, not pushing yourself, and withdrawing to some degree.  The energy tries to show us where we push ourselves too hard.  Aspects with Saturn today facilitate this.
