The “Appeal To Authority” Fallacy

appeal to authorityPaul Rosenberg – The appeal to authority fallacy (also called argument from authority) is a very simple one, but it can be tricky to deal with. This fallacy says that we should not believe things just because people with authority say they’re right. Typically, the fallacy appears like this:

Person A: XYZ is happening, and the world is in great danger because of it.

Person B: Why in the world would I believe XYZ is happening? I see no evidence.

Person A: Ha! The New York Times, the Harvard Review, the Counsel of Churches and scientific consensus have all said it’s happening!

And here’s another common use: Continue reading

COVID statists always move the goalposts

QuackBrent Smith – When will it end? When will the planet-killing pandemic dubbed COVID-19 ever end? If the Democrats have anything to say about – not for a while. Not until they’ve wrung every ounce of control over you and me they possibly can, while strategically setting compulsory precedents for the next concocted or at least overblown emergency.

Movie metaphor time.

I like the DC Comic’s movie “Aquaman.” It’s a silly action/fantasy film that’s fun to watch without having to turn your brain on. Continue reading

Common Fears That Don’t Have To Control Us

Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here. ~ Marianne Williamson

fearSara Fabian – As babies, we know nothing about the world. In the universe of an infant, there are no norms to follow, no rigid rules and regulations; no room for labeling or judging ourselves and others. We don’t yet know to disapprove of ourselves, and we’re curious to play, learn, and grow.

We are all born free spirits. Then our environment—our families, schools, religions, and political systems—shape the way we think and behave.

Fear is a learned practice. Children generally are not afraid of trying, failing, and getting up on their feet again. That’s how we learned to walk. When we made our first step, we didn’t call ourselves names or punish ourselves if we fell. We just got up and gave it another try. Continue reading

Robotic Hypnotic Flock

controlJohn Michael Chambers – Thank goodness people are waking up all over the world. But sadly, and especially in America, many are beyond asleep at the wheel. You know, the lights are on but nobody’s home. The regurgitating robotic hypnotic flock are in a trance. Programmed by design and unbeknownst to them. Yes, they live and walk among us. They are a danger to themselves and to us all. They are a threat to this movement to resurrect and save America.

The Methods of the Culprits

There are many means by which they have seized control over the many, thus creating an obedient robotic hypnotic flock. Usurping the education system. Mass media and fake news. Censorship. Evil blatant liars and lunatics. Deceptive evil opinion leaders. Hollywood and the music industry. Then of course far too many are on prescribed medications and this includes psychotropic drugs as well. Then there is the onslaught of electromagnetic frequencies from multiple sources and entrainment. Continue reading

It’s Not Really a Climate Thing: It’s about Control

political correctnessClarice Feldman – Fascism, Communism, Nazism — all gifts to the world from Europe. Now it’s nonsensical worries about climate change resulting in deliberately built-in inefficiencies in everything from household appliances to transportation methods.

Compared to the U.S., Europe’s love of control-down economics leaves it in the dust:

“The US GDP is five times that of Germany, seven times that of France and UK, 10 times of that of Italy, and 14 times of that of Spain in 2018.” And when the UK leaves the EU as I predict it will, the gap will be much larger. Continue reading
