Immortality & Resurrection, Inc.

brainJoseph P Farrell – Just when you thought the aspirations and plans of modern science couldn’t possibly become more diabolical (or, if one prefer, sacrilegious), an article comes along to renew your hope that the world continues on its path of normalcy, and that many scientists are, indeed, just as wild-eyed-nuts as you always thought them to be. And this week, apparently many people were relieved and reassured that the mad scientist is not a thing of the past or a species that died out, but a real, living creature deserving of our awe and respect.

Ms. M.W. and many others found this, and shared it, doubtless because they were concerned that I was losing hope that there were no more mad scientists:

Could we soon REVERSE death? US company to start trials ‘reawakening the dead’ in Latin America ‘in a few months’ – and this is how they’ll do it

Way back when I first started writing about these strange topics in The Giza Death Star, I made the observation that physical immortality might not be such a good thing, without a commensurate and corresponding improvement in human spirituality and morality. In this, I took my cue from an ancient Greek Church Father named St. John Chrysostom, who warned about the same thing, and who stated that it was death, in fact, that formed the crucial condition for the possibility of human repentance and a change of mind, for it cut off further progress in evil.

Medical drug effects in a world organized on Scarcity

drugsJon Rappoport – First, I want to give you a quick overview of the devastating effects of medical drugs.

The article is, “The Epidemic of Sickness and Death from Prescription Drugs.” The author is Donald Light, who teaches at Rowan University, and is the 2013 recipient of ASA’s [American Sociological Association’s] Distinguished Career Award for the Practice of Sociology. Light is a founding fellow of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, he was a fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard. He is a Lokey Visiting Professor at Stanford University.

Donald Light:

“Epidemiologically, appropriately prescribed, prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death, tied with stroke at about 2,460 deaths each week in the United States. About 330,000 patients die each year from prescription drugs in the United States and Europe. They [the drugs] cause an epidemic of about 20 times more hospitalizations [6.6 million annually], as well as falls, road accidents, and [annually] about 80 million medically minor problems such as pains, discomforts, and dysfunctions that hobble productivity or the ability to care for others. Deaths and adverse effects from overmedication, errors, and self-medication would increase these figures.” (ASA publication, “Footnotes,” November 2014)

The statistics I’m quoting reveal a problem on the level of a tsunami sweeping across the whole of America and Europe—while somehow, people carry on with their lives as if nothing is happening. Unless it’s happening to them or those they love. Continue reading

There is No Death!

“There is no death! Only change exists, and there are wonderful changes in the space of Consciousness, who you really are ”  –Frank M. Wanderer

mindFrank M. Wanderer – During our spiritual Journey through the world of shapes and forms, we are often under the effect of our daily disappointments, as our “sandcastles come tumbling down,” and we ask ourselves the question: ”What am I doing here?”

In a narrow sense it may mean: ”What am I doing in this situation?” or ”What  am I doing in these relationships? In a broader sense the meaning can be: ”What am I doing in this life, what is the sense of life, what is my ultimate goal ? Why was I born onto this Earth?”

The socially conditioned mind is ready with the answer to all those questions, provides a detailed description and explanation, underpinned with scientific arguments. It tells us and analyses our own personal histories, starting with birth and ending with death. Between the tangible endpoints, the already and the yet, every single conscious moment of our life is embedded int he story as experience.

Every such personal history, however, has its own problems and conflicts, beauties, ups and downs, and questions awaiting answers. One of the central questions in almost every autobiography is the following:

  • How could I achieve more in life in order to be happy?

One of the awakened teachers, who has experienced the real nature of truth, Nissargadatta Maharaj believes, however, that instead of asking that, we should concentrate on the following questions:

  • What is my true nature?
  • What is the capital that I had when I was born and that has stayed with me since the moment when I realized that I existed?
  • How did I acquire this bodily structure, together with the vitality and Consciousness that gives me the sense of Presence?
  • How long is it going to last?
  • What had I been before this body was born, and what am I going to be when this body decomposes?
  • Who was born, and who is going to die?
  • Who am I?

Death, Dying, Grace and Peace

understandJennifer Hoffman – Although we understand the spiritual principles around death and its timing, on a human level there is far less clarity and understanding. And when that friend or loved one dies by their own effort, the situation becomes yet more muddled and unclear. What level of despair could take them so far into their own darkness that they cannot find a single spark of light? Why didn’t they tell us they were in trouble and how could we not have been more aware of their situation? In the challenging times we live in, the thin line between hope and despair thins considerably and sometimes only one choice emerges for someone, that it’s time to quit.

We can never know the full meaning, scope, and purpose of a soul contract, which is between an individual and Source. Every life has a purpose and every purpose is always fulfilled, no matter when death happens. For those who are left behind with unanswered questions, we think it’s a life unfulfilled but that isn’t true. It has fulfilled its mission and purpose, but not in ways we understand.  We can have some influence over someone’s life choices when we can show them a different example but even then, the final choice is always theirs.

FDA-approved Big Pharma opioids kill

46,000 Americans killed each year by drug overdoses… most of them FDA-approved Big Pharma opioids

deaths Mike Adams – According to the FBI, around 15,000 people are murdered in the United States each year. Terrorism incidents like the San Bernardino shootings add another few dozen fatalities, and war operations in the Middle East bring additional casualties into the mix.

Yet the number of Americans killed by FDA-approved pharmaceutical drug overdoses dwarfs all those fatalities combined. According to the CDC, there were 43,982 drug overdose deaths in 2013, and over half of those were caused by FDA approved prescription pharma drugs (opioids).

From the CDC’s drug overdose page:

From 2000 to 2014 nearly half a million Americans died from drug overdoses. Opioid overdose deaths, including both opioid pain relievers and heroin, hit record levels in 2014, with an alarming 14 percent increase in just one year, according to new data published today in CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
