Unpacking the Charges Against Trump: Where’s The Crime?

Unpacking the Charges Against Trump: Where's The Crime?Jonathan Turley – For many of us in the legal community, the case of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg against former president Donald Trump borders on the legally obscene: an openly political prosecution based on a theory that even some liberal pundits have dismissed. Yet, this week the prosecution seemed like they were actually making a case for obscenity.

No, it was not the gratuitous introduction of an uncharged alleged tryst with a former Playboy bunny or planned details on the relationship with a former porn star. It was the criminal theory itself that seemed crafted around the standard for obscenity famously described by Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart in the case of Jacobellis v. Ohio, 378 U.S. 184 (1964): “I shall not today attempt further to define [it] … But I know it when I see it.” Continue reading

Trump’s Trials: Impact on the 2024 Election Cycle

Trump's Trials: Impact on the 2024 Election CycleJonathan Turley – “This trial will not yield to the election cycle.” Those words of U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan last year made clear that she will not consider that Donald Trump will likely be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee in setting the schedule for his federal trial in Washington, D.C.

Most recently, in the federal prosecution in Florida, Special Counsel Jack Smith declared that he will not consider himself bound by the Justice Department’s longstanding policy of not bringing charges or holding trials of candidates close to an election. Continue reading

Protecting Democracy: Democrats’ Weaponization of Agencies and Censorship

Protecting Democracy: Democrats' Weaponization of Agencies and CensorshipJames Gilliland – Protecting democracy is the platform the Democrats are running on. They have weaponized all the agencies; mainstream and social media have censored anyone who is in opposition or disagreement with the policies of the present administration. They have been using lawfare to censor and remove opposition. This included raids and jailing people for passing along Clinton memes.

They are doing everything possible to remove the leading candidate off the ballot. This is the opposite of democracy. The truth of the matter is we are a Republic with God given natural unalienable rights with the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. Something the left and most democrats abhor.

Trump Indictment: I Don’t Like It

Trump Indictment: I Don't Like ItChristopher Chantrill – Needless to say, I don’t like the indictment of Donald Trump for mishandling classified documents. Oh, I get it. The very idea that the middle class should nominate for president a guy that actually proposes to rule in the interest of the middle class! The Horror!

But, really, the indictment of a candidate for president is not so much a misuse of political power but an admission of weakness. If you can’t head off a populist nationalist candidate at the pass, dear liberal friends, and cruise to glorious victory with a fine moderate candidate that unites all good Americans on a platform to Make Things Better, then you have a problem. Democrats Use Lawfare to Stop Opponents Questioning Election Fraud

Democrats Use Lawfare to Stop Opponents Questioning Election FraudMark Patricks – The Democrats in Arizona are showing us exactly how corrupt the American election system has become – using their power gained through a stolen election to stop people from questioning those very results.

Arizona’s elections criminals have revealed the next escalation in the left’s plan to eliminate free elections across the entire country. Weaponizing court sanctions and motions for attorney’s fees against their opponents for even bothering to question the shady election. Continue reading
