Michael Sussmann found not guilty of lying to the FBI – Anyone surprised?

Ex-Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Sussmann found not guilty of lying to FBINatalia Mittelstadt – The jury in the trial of 2016 Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann on Tuesday found the defendant not guilty on a charge of providing a false statement to the FBI, after deliberating in the morning and on Friday.

Special Counsel John Durham last year charged Sussmann with lying to the FBI, while working as a private attorney, for allegedly telling then-bureau general counsel James Baker that he was not working on behalf of any client while providing him with data he said supported an alleged secret communications channel between the Russian Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization. Bill Barr: Hillary Clinton Could Go To Prison for 20 Years

seditionSean Adl-Tabatabai – Former US Attorney General Bill Barr has declared that Hillary Clinton faces a 20-year prison sentence for committing “sedition” against Donald Trump.

“I thought we were heading into a constitutional crisis. I think whatever you think of Trump, the fact is that the whole Russiagate thing was a grave injustice,” Barr said in an upcoming episode of Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV podcast.

“It appears to be a dirty political trick that was used first to hobble him and then potentially to drive him from office,” he continued, adding “I believe it is seditious.”

“It was a gross injustice, and it hurt the United States in many ways, including what we’re seeing in Ukraine these days.“ Continue reading

Sussmann Trial Reveals Role Clinton Played in the Alfa Bank Scandal

Clinton named by Mook in Sussmann trialJonathan Turley – The trial of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann crossed a critical threshold Friday when a key witness uttered the name “Hillary Clinton” in conjunction with a plan to spread the false Alfa Bank Russian collusion claim before the 2016 presidential election.

For Democrats and many in the media, Hillary Clinton has long held a Voldemort-like status as “She who must not be named” in scandals. Yet, there was her former campaign manager, Robby Mook, telling a jury that Clinton personally approved a plan to spread the false claim of covert communications between the Trump organization and the Russian bank. It was one of the most successful disinformation campaigns in American politics, and Mook implicated Clinton as green-lighting the gas-lighting of the electorate. Continue reading

False Russia collusion story began and ended with Clinton

Robby Mook testimony at Sussmann trialJohn Solomon – In an era where the hunt for disinformation has become a political obsession, Hillary Clinton has mostly escaped having to answer what role she played in spreading the false Russia collusion narrative that gripped America for nearly three years.

On Friday, that dodge ended with a most unlikely witness: her former campaign manager Robby Mook, who was supposed to be a witness helping the defense of her former campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann on a charge of lying to the FBI.

Instead, under cross-examination by Special Counsel John Durham’s team, Mook was forced to concede two extraordinary facts. Continue reading

Durham team says Sussmann used FBI to create ‘October surprise’

SussmannNatalia Mittelstadt – In opening statements Tuesday in the trial for 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, Special Counsel John Durham’s team alleged Sussmann used the FBI as “a political tool” to create an “October surprise” against then-candidate Donald Trump.

The prosecution team also said Sussman, a former federal prosecutor, tried to “manipulate” the FBI in his September 2016 talk with the agency, weeks before the 2016 presidential election, by pitching a Trump-Russia collusion narrative.

The trial proceedings in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia follow jury selection Monday and begin Durham’s first trial in his probe into the origins of the now-discredited collusion narrative.  Continue reading
