Weekly Astrology for May 8-14 Astrologer [Video]

Joseph P. Anthony – We have a busy transformational week ahead including a Full Moon, a super-active Mercury, and a lucky Mars alignment to keep us busy right up to Mother’s day. Things kick off with a trine on Tuesday, May 9th between the super-powered Taurus Sun and Pluto that will boost the strength of any of your goals, as will the Full Moon on Wednesday, May 10th.

The Sun-Pluto trine is the first of two trines (second one is on September 9) between these two planets this year. Mercury and Uranus also merge together for the third and last time this year late on Tuesday, May 9th. This merger should be easier to deal with than the last one in April because this time Mercury is direct.

To add to the plus side, Mercury also makes a trine to Saturn on Thursday, May 11th. The Scorpio Full Moon on May 10th tells us it’s time to bring this month’s project to a natural completion. The two weeks after the Full Moon is the best times of the month to wind down projects and bring habits to an end.

It should be easy to make some important changes this month because Pluto is in harmony with the Sun and the Moon during this lunation. This is a week when you’re going to see both the best and the worst of Mars because there’s a low-energy front generated by a Mars-Neptune square coming in later on Thursday that could bring up hidden issues.

This will be replaced by a fortunate high-pressure front in on Friday, May 12th, with a lucky Mars-Jupiter trine, as confidence levels will soar. On Sunday, May 14th, the Lunar Nodes officially retrograde from service-oriented the Virgo/Pisces axis into the self-expressive Leo/Aquarius polarity.

The Node’s shift into the Leo/Aquarius is a forerunner of the Total Solar Eclipse coming up in August, which is also in Leo. With both the Leo Eclipse and the Leo North Node, the stars are sending a memo about both the perks and perils of what happens when one takes center stage. Sunday is also Mother’s Day, and this year the Moon, the planet connected with mothers, is uncomfortably located in Capricorn. This is a difficult placement, but even if your mother wasn’t the archetypal earth mother that you always wanted, she still deserves to be honored on Mother’s Day because you wouldn’t be here without her.

Make it a great week!
