Commonly referred to as the psychiatric diagnostic “bible,” the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders has always generated controversy. How are disorders diagnosed? What criteria are used to establish disorders in the first place? Are the categories subjective? Do they reflect cultural biases?

I have seen in my past hospital experience patient being drugged like doctor Levine says to chill out a patient or pacify them! go to a extended care facility or elders nursing home and they pass those out like candy as this is a high stress environment! Nice exposure Jim and thanks Gil for posting this as this has been my cross to bear for 30 years of this nonsense! I have 0 confidence in AMA sponsored medicine as far as drugs are concerned!
