Under most great comedians is a yearning for justice. It is their passion and anger that fuels a creative way to explain and interpret what we don’t want to face. Carlin was a national treasure. I see Bill Hicks in a similar vein, albeit with even more anger. I am tired of being angry. As the 9/11 2001 cell phones magically worked that day 8 miles up, but at no other time before or since – I do say – who-ever really said – let’s roll!, yes – let’s roll too, and roll back and reveal our humanity for what it is intended to be.
