Frank Holmes – There aren’t really many rumors that could rock a town as jaded as Washington, but a high-placed Democrat just dropped a bombshell that has political experts stunned.
It’s about President Donald Trump and the way he makes even his worst enemies feel about him…and it could mean certain victory for Trump in the 2020 election.
Harry Reid—the former Democratic leader in the Senate—retired from politics when Trump came into office, and it looks like the former boxer finally let his guard down.
He just told the media in his home state something jaw-dropping about President Trump: “I have always liked him.”
Harry Reid, the man who would’ve been fighting Trump tooth and nail in the Senate instead of Chuck Schumer, thinks Trump’s a great guy.
“He is a very personable man,” Reid told the Las Vegas Sun. “I’ve been to his home a number of times.”
The former Nevada senator is so nostalgic for his old buddy that he keeps a framed letter from The Donald hanging in his private office.
Reid framed a note that he got just after the Nov. 2010 election, the last Reid ever won, that says: “Dear Harry: Congratulations. You are amazing. With best wishes, Donald J. Trump.”
Trump has been a Republican, a Democrat, and an Independent—he’s definitely not somebody who could be controlled by any party structure.
Trump has said that as a businessman he had to get along with political leaders on both sides of the aisle—basically, that he had to legally pay them bribes—so they would let him work.
“He did fundraisers in his home for me in the days he was a Democrat, or at least we thought he was,” Reid said.
And Reid thought Trump was fantastic!
Just saying so is a huge risk in today’s Trump-bashing Democratic Party. Joe Biden even said earlier this year that liking Republicans is a sin! (Biden said later he was kidding.)
But Harry Reid’s compliment is even more mind-blowing coming from the one-time Senate Majority Leader.
Reid is one of the dirtiest fighters in the game, and he’s not above throwing a low blow when it serves his party. During the 2016 election, Reid called his old friend and fundraiser a “con man” and “a human leech who will bleed the country.”
“Let’s be clear about Donald Trump,” Reid said. “He is a spoiled brat.”
Reid tried every move in the book—including saying that Trump is “faking his net worth.”

He tried the same thing—successfully—against Mitt Romney in 2012, saying he “didn’t pay his taxes for 10 years.”
Reid got away with the lie because Romney didn’t fight back. When a reporter tracked Reid down about it, the senator just laughed. “Romney didn’t win, did he?” he smirked.
Just in case that didn’t do the trick, Reid tried to blackmail the Deep State into destroying Trump before the 2016 election. He claimed that James Comey was “breaking the law” by showing a huge “double standard”—in favor of Trump!
“It has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government,” Reid wrote to Comey. “Yet, you continue to resist calls to inform the public of this critical information.”
Reid waged all-out war during the election, but after Reid rode off into the sunset, he let some truth spill out…and it spells trouble for his party.
If somebody as partisan as Reid—somebody who got paid to hate Republicans—likes Trump, that’s a huge problem for his party.
Trump is something Republican presidential candidates haven’t been in a long time: Likeable.
And traditional Democratic voting blocs have noticed! Polls show that the number of blacks who support Trump has doubled since 2016. Up to 36% of black Americans say they would consider voting for Trump in 2020. “You can see where he’s rising in terms of the Hispanic vote, and the African American vote,” said Bruce LeVell, Executive Director of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump. “It’s going to more than double” in 2020.
Trump has the economy humming, foreign countries know that we mean business, and Americans are holding their heads up high.
True, people may not like every single tweet or sound clip they see him in but, deep down, Trump is just a likable person… and that resonates on both sides of the aisle.
Donald Trump is piling up Democratic votes… and Harry Reid might secretly be one of them.
