5 Signs You’re Getting A Sign

Enlightening Life  April 7 2014

EnergyIt is not a sign (I’m going to be using that word a lot in this article) of doubt or lack of faith for us to ask for signs or confirmation of the best next steps, choices on our path, or that we are choosing our most powerful potential or possibility. Especially if we think we have made a lot of powerless decisions or choices that represent our less or non-empowered self in the past, we want to be shown that we can get different results this time.

So we ask for a sign, and then we usually miss the sign because we think it’s going to be something magnificent, grand, divine, and obvious. And it is usually something like losing our car keys, or dropping eggs on the floor, or we receive an unexpected gift, we win the lottery, someone from our past reconnects with us (that represents either joyful or painful memories), or we get a flat tire.

What’s the message of these signs? It depends on the question we are asking.

The Power Is In Realization

Enlightening Life | October 8 2012

DimensionAt times it feels like I’m inching forward on this journey when I really want to take it in leaps and bounds. There are times when I find myself asking the question ‘Haven’t I learned this yet?’ and then I have to laugh because I realize the purpose of that experience and then everything falls into place. Although it seems like the farther we get on our spiritual path the harder and more complicated things become as we try to fit all of the pieces together, the truth is the journey is easier and faster when we simplify, ask and receive. The power is in realizing that this is how powerful and connected we really are. Sometimes we try so hard that we make the process much more difficult than it really is.

I have had several interesting manifestation experiences lately and what I wanted literally appeared in front of me at the moment I decided that I was going find what I was looking for. First, I had to realize that what I wanted was right in front of my spiritual or energetic  eyes, and  then open my physical eyes and see it. In all cases, it was not only in front of me, I literally ran right into it. Had it always been there and I hadn’t seen it before? Was I so busy looking for it that I didn’t see it? What if the key to manifesting anything was to realize that it is already in front of us and then opening our physical eyes widely enough to see it?

Right, Wrong And The Truth

Enlightening Life | September 9 2012

EnergyI recently had a rather heated discussion with a friend who was trying to convince me that I was wrong about something. She was quite irritated that I would not agree with her because as far as I was concerned I wasn’t wrong. And I wasn’t trying as hard to convince her of my ‘right-ness’ as she was in insisting that I was wrong. This wasn’t about right or wrong, though, it was about truth. Any time there is a right or wrong in a situation, the real issue at hand is the truth, and whose truth is true.

Some people will go to great lengths to assert that they know best, they are right, and they know the truth. But truth is a funny thing because as much as we want to know ‘the Truth’, all we can really know for sure is what is true for us. Someone else’s truth is theirs alone. We may agree or share an opinion about it but truth, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. And when they ask us to validate their truth, what they are really asking for is validation that they are worthy of our love.

When my friend insisted that I agree with her, I knew it was personal and went far beyond me and this small incident. For her, it one more time that she had to prove herself and her truth and I was one more person who didn’t agree with her. Although I did agree with her, I just didn’t agree with her truth. It was very personal for her so I had to wonder who had made her so wrong in her life that she needed to hear me repeat her truth back to her. Why wasn’t it enough for her to know her truth and be comfortable with it? Because it wasn’t about her truth, it was about getting me to agree that it was true.

Live From Your Heart

Enlightening Life | August 20 2012

choiceArchangel Uriel ~ The potential of your life exists within the knowing of your heart and soul. Yet you use your mind to determine what is possible and its limitations prevent the highest potential from being available to you. It takes courage to live from your heart, where the true nature of your dreams exist, as well as the outcomes and miracles that can allow them to happen, because this requires an expanded vision of your life and potential that the mind cannot comprehend or envision for itself and for you.

The limitations of the third dimension are reflected in your life challenges, which are also the separation between divinity and humanity. In a divine world, the heart/mind partnership leads with love; in a human world, the mind leads by itself, with the emotional heart (also ruled by the mind) choosing the present based on the past. Living from the heart means choosing the highest heart aspects, the unconditional love and peace that are your divine birthright. Humanity’s birthright is karma and the potential for love, which is found in the heart through embracing and partnering with your divinity. The ascension path leads to incorporation of the divine when you can live from the heart and choose to express its energies, which exist beyond emotion.

Change Your Thought Dimension

Enlightening Life | August 6 2012

DimensionI bought a new computer last week, even though it’s Mercury retrograde and you aren’t supposed to buy electronic items at that time. But with the back to school sales and a tax free weekend, the price was perfect so I took the plunge. And I got a Mercury retro gift – I paid the same amount for my new as for my old one that I bought 5 years ago. Now I don’t like buying new computers because I get very used to my work equipment. It’s familiar, I have it all set up the way I like, and a new computer means doing that all over again. But my current computer runs so slowly that it’s impacting my productivity, its 80 GB hard drive is nearly full, it doesn’t have enough RAM to run many applications or internet pages and it’s slowing me down. So I had to change my thoughts, embrace the need for change and get a new one (moving me into a new dimension of technology).

I could have bought a new computer a few years ago but I didn’t need one as badly then and to be honest, I have gotten used to how slowly my old computer runs. Yes it impacts my productivity and it’s frustrating, but over time I have learned how to deal with it (sometimes by just shutting it down).  So I’m sure that once I see how much faster the new computer is I’ll wonder why I put up with the old one for so long. There’s a short answer to that, I don’t like change. The longer answer is I got used to the way things were. And this is what we do to resist change until the need for it becomes so overwhelming that we don’t have any other choice.  No matter how much we want change, though, the dimension and vibration we want to be in have to match our thoughts because it is our thought energy that creates our reality.
