Charles – Last night, Virginia turned red. The election of Glenn Youngkin and the sound defeat of liberal pretender Terry McAuliffe was a beautiful sight to see. The liberal pundits on TV were beside themselves.
All the work of the Democrat Party came to nothing, as Youngkin cruised to a landslide victory and Winsome Sears took over as lieutenant governor. McAuliffe tried to say Youngkin was racist and a Trump-loving lunatic.
He also tried to say Virginia schools don’t teach critical race theory (another lie), but in the end, McAuliffe’s bitter propaganda failed and Virginians put some real conservatives in office.
The Good News in Virginia
The fact of the matter is last night’s news in Virginia is very good for gun owners. Putting Youngkin in as the new governor (as well as having a new GOP lieutenant governor and Attorney General who support the 2A) is a huge win.
The GOP also took over the Virginia legislature, which means state Democrats are not going to be able to sneak through anti-gun bills. The thing is before Youngkin, Virginia’s had an anti-gun, woke madman in power called Ralph Northam.
This baby murder supporter and hater of America has done all he can while in office to crack down on gun rights, including a ridiculous “assault weapons” bill. McAuliffe wanted to continue on this trajectory of shredding up the Constitution.
He was hoping he could be installed as the next head of the state. Now, McAuliffe’s got a slap in the face and won’t be able to do any fake “gun violence” bills or other laws that are all designed to erode the 2A.

How Important Is This?
This is actually very important, both symbolically and legislatively. The new crew is very pro-gun and Youngkin isn’t perfect, but he’s certainly not a deranged gun grabber like McAuliffe and Northam.
Winsome Sears as lieutenant governor is great news as well. She’s posted photos showing her support for gun rights and has spoken out consistently against the left’s attempts to erode our liberties. Sears is a US Marine Corps veteran and a brilliant, brave woman who has no tolerance for liberal lies.
She’s also a strong supporter of the police and of making America a better place to live for everybody.

The Bottom Line
The bottom line here is the Virginia election is great news for libertarians, Independents, conservatives, and everyone else who supports the Second Amendment. There’s no way to overstate how big of an earthquake last night’s results were for the Democrat Party.
They were unable to push their gun-grabbing priorities or get in the way of people’s rights and they’re fuming. State by state, we can take this country back and protect the Constitution.
